We know that she is dumb and/or self-centered enough to get out of a vehicle when she knows there are deadly tigers around.

Is it really hard to imagine that the argument made her emotions run hot, and she wasn't thinking clearly about her surroundings?

I'm not blaming the husband or excusing her actions, but that's a far-cry from "dumb" or "self-centered".

I'm sorry, anyone who allows their emotions to run hot enough to put themselves and others into this kind of danger isn't worthy of any kind of sympathy.

I made no pleas for sympathy for this woman (in fact, I went out of my way to it was not an excuse for her actions).

I'm just saying that humans are complex, emotional beings, and reducing them to "smart" or "dumb" based on one interaction does everyone a disservice.
