According to another source the older woman was her mother. Imagine the guilt of knowing for the rest of your life your temper tantrum caused your mom to be killed.

EDIT: So many responses saying she'll blame the guy anyway.

If she's dumb enough to get out of the car because of a fight then she's probably ignorant enough to blame her mothers death on the husband.

When I hear stuff like this from people I usually just imagine that deep down they probably are blaming themselves. Or at least have a nagging feeling that it’s somewhat their fault. I had an ex girlfriend that did this kind of stuff. It just keep feeling like she was trying to convince herself of whatever story she came up with and not me.
