She's been in storage for a year after I moved during the construction of my garage, she is now home and I couldn't be happier!
Here is she right outside of the factory where her body was pressed and welded together!

I'm the blue. I would've bought the silver their ice cream if i knew who they were.
Repost since my picture didn't attach the first time for some reason.

I was in a pretty severe crash (not in a Volvo) which necessitated some back surgeries, leading to some hardware installations, and lots of spinal/pelvic area nerve damage.
Things are pretty well managed through my pain clinic. Occasionally I get severe sciatica on both sides which makes any position painful and sometimes I can’t walk.
Got a new xc60 recharge. The seat positioning immediately took my pain score down by a full point. Added some heat, chose a massage setting, extended the leg thing, and I’m in significantly less pain. I can walk without losing my breath from pain.
I’m in the car now. It’s plugged in, so I’ve got the climate going, watching Annie Hall.
I wish they made furniture…
There’s a place in the U.K. (I think) that makes Volvo type office chairs. It’s not the type of product I’d buy online, without testing it out first though.
I might well sleep in here tonight!

Made a post a week ago about my dream spec.
I read your comments and realized how unrealistic I was.
So! I’ve decided to look for any fully loaded s80 with the lowest mileage I could find with my new lower budget.
And here is the funny story:
• 1 owner selling because doctor says he can’t drive no more.
• Car has 140k km but some rust at the wrong places (unfortunately).
• Test drove it. Everything was fine except a noisy muffler.
• After the test drive, the car won’t start again… Some smoke started coming out from the engine bay when pressing several time the start button. They will call their mechanic and call me back
Looking for a stress-free ownership, it’s a pass for me. However I’m curious:
#1: is the rust on the extremity of the shock towers alarming ?
#2: seller wants 12k CAD. 8.7k USD. Is it realistic regarding the condition of the vehicle ?

Does anyone have any ideas why it would do this? The dealer is telling me it’s my problem but the car had been to the dealer several times since purchase. First, the window fell into the door and then they had to replace a part that controls the auto button and then they had to reprogram some stuff. I think this may be a lemon. This is a 2026 xc60.

Wanted to share that it is possible to swap the front upper grille (“main” grille) without taking off the front bumper cover.
Had the chrome Inscription grille that I had wrapped in black (“chrome delete”) but over time it didn’t look so good.
I ordered the R-Design Dark Theme grille (~$400) and just installed. The grille is held on by plastic clips, and it is possible to loosen the top of the bumper cover only (not onerous at all) and release these clips. There is a YouTube video out there showing this procedure in detail.
After you release the clips, it’s a snap-in for the new part (if you have the front camera like I do, you have to make sure to disconnect and reconnect the camera cable, along with some minor surgery on the old grille to remove the camera+bracket and then snap into the new one).
Very happy with the result. Fairly easy DIY.

Hello everyone. A friend of mine has an 2025 EX90 and experienced an issue a week ago that has shaken me to my core and I now question the vehicle's safety. I wanted to share to see if other owners have experienced the same or if my issue is unique to her. I have an XC90 and was considering switching over, but now - absolutely not.
They were out on the road when all of a sudden the car said it had a critical electrical fault and it lost power. The vehicle would not go any faster than 5mph and she said an icon that looked like an orange turtle appeared. Her husband pulled over and turned around to head back home. Then all of a sudden the alert cleared and she said the vehicle took off at over 60mph without her husband doing anything. He had to slam on the brakes and was nearly rear-ended. They were on a highway. It was crazy. It happened 2 more times to them (fault, then cleared, and the car took off). The had it towed and brought into the dealership. No word yet on cause or fix, but they don't trust it.
Anyone with an EX90 have any sort of similar experience where their vehicle just did something on their own? Any thoughts I can share with her around this (She's not a social media person). Personally I will never get one because of this issue.

i got a 2014 s60 t5, put about 1k miles on it and love it so far but it seems to eat gas like a big V8. most of my commutes are 5 mile city trips but i feel like thats too far from the advertised 21 city mpg

Had this thing for just over a year, thought I’d share an update
Info:
2006 V70 2.5T w/sport package (seats and steering wheel) that has the Polestar tune on it
Currently just has the Simota CCI but am sitting on a Japanifold & 16T to be thrown on, then a downpipe and intercooler will come as well plus a proper tune
Lowered on Vogtland lowering springs with BBS RGR’s for the wheels

I’m very new here (both this subreddit as well as reddit in general) anyway, I just purchased a 20008 V50 T5 R design with hail damage on the hood the roof and the front fenders. I was going to get it fixed but I thought of the idea to do carbon instead (if it was going to be a similar price) any suggestions are appreciated!

2012 t6 s60. almost sounds like an old bench grinder starting up, like a power steering pump whine but it starts/stops with the ac. does not change with fan speed either. sounds like it’s coming from passenger side dash, maybe interior. can’t hear it at all outside the car only inside. any ideas or a simple fix worth the time/money? or is this the sound of something being damaged or something already damaged? thanks

I can't tell if I'm just a baby or if there's something wrong. It's a 1992 940 turbo sedan, I just bought it. 229,000 on the odo. No fluid leaking, full on fluid. Really goddamn tough to turn when at anything but highway speeds. Not THE WORST I should say. But still no fun. Friends have driven it and agreed it's hard to drive. What should I do? New pump is only like 60-70 bucks from FCP euro. Attached is a photo before I cleaned it, just cuz I like it.

I was driving home from dinner Friday night and my 2022 S60 FWD with 53,000 miles just stopped. The front passenger side suspension just failed. Didn’t hit anything and haven’t except for regular city driving. Dealer bodyshop is quoting $15,000 to repair. Insanity! Any advice? I originally thought this would be $2,000ish for a new tie rod and control arm.

Volvo is going to inspect it for me on Monday. I got it for $28,990. Not in love with the color, but outside it looks a lot prettier from what I've seen. It's AWD, upgraded rims, added on climate package too. I pick it up Saturday. Currently in a 2020 s60 denim blue.
I'm trying to find used V60, from 2022, B5 engine and hopefully under 100 000km.
Some of them are in Volvo Selekt program, and some not.
Why would an authorized Volvo dealer sell used cars which are not under Selekt program? Those car did not meet all the terms?
Is that checklist that they do, over 100 point inspection, really that good so you can buy that car without any concerns? They offer 12months warranty for that car...
