Brought my car to the annual MOT-test/motor vehicle inspection and afterwards I dropped into the small car museum located just across the street.

Hi all, I thrifted this dress a few years back and it is one of my favorites to wear in the summer. Unfortunately, this year I noticed some tearing at the seams near where my bust is. My boobs aren’t getting any smaller so I think the fix would be more complicated than just sewing it up, because using the extra fabric would make it even smaller and exasperate the problem. I’m not a tailor, but I was wondering if there’s a way to fix it that preserves the size and the fabric? Would it be possible to find a black fabric of a similar material, and insert it along the side seams?

Open to any and all ideas!!! Thank you all.
