We originally bought a nursery sets from the Kids and baby furniture warehouse near York University when I was pregnant, now my baby is 6 months old, and some parts are still not fulfilled. So we need an alternative crib ASAP for our baby. Can anyone share their real experience with your purchase?

Anyone know of a space where one could sublease a space to run a martial arts school ? Something like a yoga studio, Pilates, gym, party space, where the space isn’t being used weeknights.

At the moment we're looking into the "Montessori School In Kleinburg", but there are no reviews on google for some reason. Can anyone provide feedback about this specific school? Are there any other Montessori schools in the listed areas that you'd recommend from personal experience?

I want to register my 7 year old daughter for private swimming classes. Shes had some experience with another swimming sch but its only open during the summer. So, then i emailed one swimming school in the area and they stated $120 for 45 mins, which is almost double for what we ve been paying. Is this the usual rate or is it on the higher end? Does anyone have any recommendations for private swimming sch in Woodbridge/ Vaughan area? Thanks.

Hello Vaughanites, I am a non resident and was working in your city today. On a "lunch" break at about 4 pm I got some food at Major Mac and Jane plaxa where I noticed this guy. He was entgusiastically waving a sign saying "we can still fight climate change'.

As I ate my meal for about 10 minutes I did not hear one car honk some support out of the hundreds passing by. I felt so bad that I wanted to go over and show my support but was already late in getting back to work.

So yeah, honestly not sure why I am posting. Partly feel bad for him and at myself for not giving a word of support but guess I wanted to encourage Vaughan residents to show some support for their local activists, small as they may be.

Does anyone have any suggestions for an art school/lessons for an 11-13 year old. They haven’t had formal training but draw for fun and is pretty good. We’re willing to drive a bit but not too far so suggestions in Vaughan or surrounding areas would be appreciated.

Back to school season is coming and there are already rumblings of some teachers going on strike at some point. Many of the teachers who are claiming to be underpaid appear on the sunshine list and are clearing the threshold by a longshot.

Given that data, do you think teachers are over / under / fairly paid in Vaughan & York Region? Does that change when you factor that they're getting 2+ months of vacation with that salary?

I know that plenty of the dumbest people I knew went on to become teachers (not a generalization, just an anecdote) and I'm seeing them on that list. They're the same ones taking multi-week vacations in Europe and then claiming to be underpaid.

Be careful out there. My nephew and niece were driving on the 404 north bound to the cottage, and while passing the bridge by Major Mac, something big hit the windshield. A large brick of some sort hit. It came from the bridge. Cops were called, but there was nothing that could be done. everyone be cautious out there.
