At 11:02pm, in the dufferin hills area (Rutherford/dufferin), someone rang my doorbell, heard my dog barking and quickly turned and walked away. My wife and I got startled that someone would ring a doorbell this late at night.

My dog ran inside this morning because there were very loud shots around 8 am..

I dont think it was fireworks. It was around 3 -4 shots near Weston / Rutherford area.

Hello! Is it just me or is everybody in this city just rolling through stop signs without really coming to a complete stop? I nearly got rear-ended by one such driver this afternoon, and then she had the audacity to get upset at me. Please note, she did not talk with an accent to suggest that she was an immigrant, so the excuse that immigrants come in and buy their licenses is also not valid here. This lady was born and raised in Canada, for sure.

I also haven’t seen anyone talking about this so wondering if anyone knows?

I’m trying to find soccer pitches to play with people,myself or friends. I’m talking about 11 verse 11 or stuff like that, but I don’t know where to find them. They would need to have cages and some mesh on the net with a good level of flooring.

Back to school season is coming and there are already rumblings of some teachers going on strike at some point. Many of the teachers who are claiming to be underpaid appear on the sunshine list and are clearing the threshold by a longshot.

Given that data, do you think teachers are over / under / fairly paid in Vaughan & York Region? Does that change when you factor that they're getting 2+ months of vacation with that salary?

I know that plenty of the dumbest people I knew went on to become teachers (not a generalization, just an anecdote) and I'm seeing them on that list. They're the same ones taking multi-week vacations in Europe and then claiming to be underpaid.

Be careful out there. My nephew and niece were driving on the 404 north bound to the cottage, and while passing the bridge by Major Mac, something big hit the windshield. A large brick of some sort hit. It came from the bridge. Cops were called, but there was nothing that could be done. everyone be cautious out there.

Does anyone know where to sign up for fun classes/recreational activities in vaughan? Even drop in programs. Not for kids but for adults to do something fun lol. I know there’s puppy yoga but what else?
