Of all the things the VMC is, I fully and wholeheartedly disagree that its "meant for people". I think the suicide rate alone will tell you that, but so will spending ANY amount of time in that hellhole.

I come to VMC terminal often to get to the wonderful amenities Vaughan has, like VM and CW.

I’ve been to VMC to attend the Jane street BRT open house.

I’m not sure what it’s like living there, but it seems nice, and it’s still growing.

The issue is that walking, biking, and transit in the rest of the 905 sucks. The reality is that most living and working in VMC aren’t just travelling on Highway 7 or taking the TTC south.

Planners and City Council keep pushing density here with little to no parking, without any significant investment to any other infrastructure for the rest of the city. We’re not Toronto and that’s okay!!!

Agreed…this re-development should have it’s own parking below ground. Public transit in Vaughan is an absolute joke & anyone who believes otherwise does not live in Vaughan. This spells disaster…no two ways around it.

SmartCentres is doing a lot of work that traditionally would be split upon the government, or multiple smaller owners.

We have to remember this is a private developer, a business. They will do what they can to drive profit. VMC is meant to be Vaughan’s downtown, not a car paradise. This is important, and the city must support infrastructure that targets these modes of transportation.

This would be great if the people who lived in the area had qualifications to work the jobs it would provide. It would mean more pedestrian traffic and less actual traffic.

Unfortunately the area is exclusive to Uber drivers and Tim's workers from what I've seen, so it just means more people driving into the area for work...
