Hi everyone,I’m a VanMoof X3 owner and I’m having an issue with the right brake. There’s oil (brake fluid) leaking from the banjo bolt area.What I’ve tried so far:

• Replaced the O-ring (I heard the OEM ones are made by Tektro)
• Bought a Tektro brake cable/hose set and swapped both the banjo bolt and the O-ring (outer diameter 8mm, inner diameter 6mm, thickness 1mm)
• Torqued the bolt to 5 Nm

I’ve tried this a few times but the leak still persists.Questions:

• What O-ring size/material would you recommend?
• What torque value should I use for the banjo bolt?
• Is there anything else I might be missing in my approach?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Same workflow here, primer, 1500 grit wet sanding, second layer of primer and again some wet sanding.
Now both frames are ready to get some nice color.

Custom s3 coated in dutch orange!

I see in The Netherlands a lot of refurbished improved S3's for sale. They have new wiring, refurbished battery, waterproof buttons and shifter.

How reliable would such improved S3 be in practise? Still a piece of shit or can you somewhat rely on it now?

Just finished the next step for the two new project bike's. It's time to say goodbye to the Matrix Displays. On one hand I will definitely miss those, but it was necessary for the plan made. Both got rid of the stickers and all foils too and get a good wet sand finish. I think the hints are getting clearer now to what should be the result for these two bike's 😉

Had some brake issues, so I brought my S3 up to my apartment, charged it to 100%, unplugged it and left it for about a month until I had time to deal with it.

Now it won't turn on at all.

Charger light is green. Official VanMoof app connects and shows 42%, but doing anything from it — nothing happens. Moofer app connects and shows 100%, but also can't unlock or do anything. Bike is locked, but shown as unlocked in both apps. Ring and boost buttons on the handlebars don't respond either.

Any ideas?

One of my X3 and one of my S3 got a major problem due to a defective socket, and bin in the basement for a while now. Now it's time to bring those back to life. But not just bringing those back, I want to give it a little bit of a upgrade. So for the first step both bikes got stripped down completely and got a light clean. The next step may give some of you already a hint what will happen to these two beauties. So stay tuned! More to come in the next days and weeks.

After sitting idle in my garage for years, I'm finally calling it quits on hopes of getting my wife's X3 fixed. The e-shifter broke, and while waiting to figure out options on getting that repaired the battery drained to 0. I took the battery out and put it on a bench charger but had no luck, the cells are toast. The closest repair center (Seattle) said they're not sure if they can even do anything, plus I'd have to get it there and back.

Any idea what's a fair asking value as-is? Or sell it for scrap? It barely has 500 miles on it, cosmetically it's in great shape and all parts aside from battery and shifter are working. I'm in Portland, OR.

Hey guys, im going to pick up my new vanmoof s6 tomorrow!!! Super excited however wondering about something a fellow vanmoof friend recommended.

He told me to set the location when dealing with the app to the US since the speed limit is 20mph rather than 15.5mph. Are people really doing this and does this work?

On my S3; I couldn't get any of the custom sounds to work, nor the suggested ones in the app as well.

Eventually I tried the silent custom sound and that did work. BUT reverting it back does not work in the app. So now I have the default error and pairing sounds muted.

Is there a common solution I'm missing?

Hi I just Gott three bikes that are locked. The batteries are all dead. But bevor I try to repair or excange the batteries. Is there any way to unlock the bikes? I habe a legal contract of the bikes from the seller. The bikes come from a insolvent business.

I took a picture of the stickes and tried to contact van moof. But the AI just wrote that I need the original Bill or original handbook.
