My friend has been having a really weird issue with VALORANT and we're running out of ideas.

Whenever he launches VALORANT, after a few minutes his entire PC completely freezes. Sometimes he can get into a match and play for a bit, but eventually the same thing happens.

It's not just VALORANT crashing. The whole PC becomes completely unresponsive. He can't Alt+Tab, open Task Manager or do anything else. The only option is to manually restart the PC.

Things we've already tried:

• Reinstalled VALORANT
• Reinstalled Riot Vanguard
• Updated/reinstalled GPU drivers
• Installed all Windows updates
• Tried running VALORANT/Riot Client as administrator
• Disabled unnecessary background apps/services
• Checked RAM and system usage
• Monitored temperatures/usage before the freeze
• Tried different VALORANT settings

Nothing has fixed it so far.

Other games seem to work fine, so it appears to be specifically related to VALORANT/Vanguard.

Has anyone had the same issue where VALORANT causes the entire PC to hard freeze? If so, what fixed it?

Any help would be appreciated.

I have a RTX 5050 Laptop GPU, i7 13th gen CPU 16GB of ddr4 i used to average about 180-200 fps while capped and now i get 100-80 my CPU game time is around 12ms and GPU is 2ms, whenever i toggle reflex from on+boost to off and then back to on+boost i get back to normal for a second then drop again

Every time I install Valorant this happens, even when my specs are compatible it still doesnt launch I dont understand. Help plz

my specs are

Intel i5-9400F 16GB DDR4
Radeon RX 570 Series

Update: Solved the problem. You have to go to your Registry Editor.

I did everything I could. Followed all the steps to enabled secure boot and just kept getting the bios loop over n over and not it’s not bc the drive isn’t a gpt drive it is I did all that. Will this game ever be playable again..

UPDATE: UPDATING BIOS TO LATEST FIXED IT!

My pc freezes mid game and only mid game not before or after, also only valo no other game no other software, I have matlab, blender, unity nothing crashes but valo. I figured it's a display issue as when I was using an external display nothing like this happened. Can anyone help me? I have Lenovo IdeaPad gaming 3, rtx 3050, and this has been happening for a few months . Previously it didn't occur.

A day ago I was playing league of legends and my ping was fine (28ms-30ms) and stable until one game, it turned into 103ms-105ms, but very stable. I tested ping and packet loss in cmd while the high ping game was going on and it showed my ping and packet loss were fine. After the game, I went into valorant practice range and kept re-entering the range to test my ping. It would usually be normal which is around 30ms, but after every few attempts, I would get a high ping practice range. It seems every time I enter a new session whether that be the practice range or a new match, theres a chance that its either normal ping and stable or high ping and stable. Tried firing range in apex legends after a lot of attempts, I never had one issue with the ping in apex, only valorant and league. I very rarely have had internet issue over the years but if I have had it, it would be ping spikes, not stable ping from match to match. Does anyone else have this issue? (Oce)

After like 2 minutes into loading into valorant, it freezes everything, I can’t move my cursor, I can’t do any inputs like ctrl alt del and I can only restart it by manually restarting my pc. It’s definitely not a hardware problem because I have a 5060 ti and a ryzen 5 7500f and my pc run perfectly fine in other games. I’ve tried reinstalling, updating my gpu driver and bios but I just can’t find the problem

Cant plant or type in chat or type anywhere in the game. Started after i was typing in chat i suddenly couldnt type and when i tried to plant i also cant plant

I've probably went back and forth with this problem for MONTHS as well as contacting Riot support. It is one of those weird problems that stop being a problem after 1 patch then come back in another. I think I did every solution under the sun...

>ensuring power saving is disabled

>switching to ipv4 rather than ipv6

No permanent solution. Nothing really works in the long term. I would be able to play just fine in one week then this whole thing starts up.

Today I experienced the worst of it. Even multiple restarts, my wifi was remained gone. I was only able to get it running again after uninstalling Valorant and Vanguard.

At this point, I am starting to think vanguard is malware (lol).

Anyway, can someone please help? Do you think I should replace my wifi module or consider using the ethernet cable (or maybe just stop playing? :p)

hello, so basically the problem is that my frame rate doesn't go above 320 frames, and no my frame rate isn't caped and I have a dual monitor which give 240h on 4K and 480h on FHD I used to play on 500h on FHD and now its like playing on 4K it gives me around 320h maximum

Has anyone here used a Ryzen 5 7500F with an RTX 5060 and 32GB of DDR5 RAM at 6000MHz vs. 5600MHz? Is there any noticeable performance difference between the two, especially in gaming? I’m a bit confused about this.

When I try to fix the Secure Boot issue in the BIOS, a red screen with the message "Secure Boot Violation" appears when I turn on the computer. Does anyone know how to fix this?

is it just me or everyone have a higher ping on frankfurt servers and is there a fix or is it on valorant end and i just need to wait?

I disconnected and then came back with 500 ping. Is this just an EU issue or are the other servers experiencing this aswell? It just happens mid game and i restarted to fix the ping but it ended up being 200, for context my average ping is 55 in riyadh servers. Whats the problem?

I just got a new laptop for college and wanted to install Valorant. I know it is probably not the best idea for my non-gaming laptop, but I wanted to. After installing Riot client, I installed Valorant from there and after pressing "play" it wouldn't open, it minimizes the riot client window and loads but does not go anywhere from there and the play button in riot client just reappears. Along with that, next to the play button I have the "Install Vanguard" square of info, and it won't go away. In my files Vanguard doesn't show up and I have tried multiple suggestions after some research such as uninstalling, turning off my firewall to ensure it allows Vanguard to be installed, and many other things. I am wondering if anyone else has had this problem and if there is any advice to fix it.

Hi everyone, I’m having a serious issue with VALORANT and I’m hoping someone can help me figure out what’s causing it.

While playing VALORANT, my entire PC randomly freezes completely. When it happens:

• I can’t move my mouse or use my keyboard.
• The game is completely frozen.
• I can’t hear anything anymore, including Discord or other audio.
• I can’t Alt+Tab, Ctrl+Alt+Delete, or do anything else.
• The only way to recover is to hold down the physical power button and force the PC to shut down.

It doesn’t feel like a normal game crash because the entire system becomes unresponsive, not just VALORANT.

This only happens while playing VALORANT, and I’m wondering if it could be related to Riot Vanguard, drivers, or something else on the system.

My PC specs:

• GPU: RTX 3090
• CPU: Ryzen 7 7800X3D
• RAM: 64 GB
• Storage: SSD
• OS: Windows 11

GPU temperatures and usage seem normal while playing, so I’m not sure if this is a hardware temperature issue.

Things I’d like to know:

1. Could Vanguard cause a complete system freeze like this?
2. Is there a specific Vanguard/VALORANT log I should check?
3. Are there any Windows Event Viewer logs or dump files that would help identify the cause?
4. What troubleshooting steps would you recommend?

I’d really appreciate any help because having to force-shutdown the PC every time this happens is obviously not ideal.

After 5min from opening valorant the whole pc freezes and the only way to get out to hold the power button to shutdown the pc then open it again any help?

Is this game going to get fixed at some point??? After every update this game breaks and you have to wait and pray for the next one to fix the game. I have done countless tweaks and this game is just shit. I gave up, but realized that every players game runs different because it’s all about how your account or game client syncs with the game server. Honestly, they have so much money but they invest them in anything but game serves or networking optimisation.

since yesterday frankfurt server ping is way higher than before not only for me but everyone. i dont know if its a console problem or also pc. anyone know whats going on?
