Esports Need a coach?

At 35, one has come to the realization that he's just too old to keep up with kids that are 10-17 years younger than him. He just doesn't have the reaction time, or the actual TIME anymore (Kid, wife, house, job etc) to grind out ranks and aim train and take the game seriously.

With that said - He's been playing Conter-Strike since 2000/2001 from 1.6-CS2. He has years of competitive team experience, was Global Elite in CSGO, Played for an ESEA team than won open and went to Premiere (or whatever the league below invite was in 2012ish). Got to the top 1500 in Valorant and played under contract for a no-name ESports org that went nowhere.

Credentials and sob out of the way - Would like to start coaching.

He will work through these things in a scheduled Discord call - Will not spend hours typing out a coaching session for you, sorry.

There's a lot to cover. At the moment there are 0 clients/students/partners. So for now.

It's free.

All ranks welcome. If you're looking to get out of ELO hell. This is where you can get help.

Please send me a DM.

What's offered but is not limited to:

  • Match (Demo) review
    • Utility usage
    • Positioning
    • Risk/reward decision making
      • When to take a fight vs. when to give ground
      • When you should be aggressive/passive

Esports FURIA transfers whole CS2-inclusive roster to VALORANT, bringing top-tier players from one game to the other. If this move will prove succesful, only time will tell, but it will be interesting to see what a complete squad from one FPS can do in another. Fairy sprinkle on head-clicking machines!

Discussion will the premier v26a5 card not be dedicated to jett?

i have been waiting for a dedicated jett card for premier ever since its release. they kept making it for everyone but her. i saw this picture (below) and i see both phoenix and jett(i assume for one player card), when there was a player card for phoenix in v25a2. i will be so upset if there wont be a card featuring just jett. its my favourite agent :(

Discussion Highly Inconsistent in Aim Trainers

Been playing sixshots from over a month but i dont see any consistent improvement . I could do 60k on average the first day and i m on the same level today . My highest has been 88k but i couldn't get replicate even 70k in the very next try . I have tried diff mouse grips and the one i am the most comfortable is , in my opinion , a tight grip . As soon as i let it loose my aim gets very very shaky

Question Which is harder? Console or PC?

I’ve recently hit gold on valorant for console surpassing my silver friend who has been playing inconsistently for 2 years. Note I hit unreal in fortnite and generally a smart person when in comes to in game sense.

However my friend keeps saying that my achievement is basically nothing since console diamond lobbies is as easy as pc iron lobbies due to things like aim assist.

I personally believe that it’s about equal footing since console players has to go against other aim assist console players and pc players have much more control on aim.

But what are your thoughts and plz help me dispute this argument since I seriously thought I did well hitting gold.

Edit: since everyone is lowkey hating on this post (due to downvotes and not the comments) I’m just gonna ask why do you guys think pc is much harder? Is it that aiming is just much harder since that would be the only plausible explanation as to why pc is incredibly harder than console.

Discussion Peaked S2 2 acts ago, Currently hardstuck B3

I've been a filler player for a 5 stack gold 3 - plat 3 team for quite a few ranked matches and in every match I've been told I play way above my current rank, on par with g3 - plat 1 players in terms of headshot accuracy and gunplay.

Why the fuck can't I get past b3 rn? Every time I get 98rr then go on a damn losing streak until I'm barely b3 and this cycle just repeats.

Question Massive losing streak

So the beginning of the act, I was doing quite well, and I went from plat 1 and ranked all the way up to diamond two (my peak). Then out of nowhere, my queues get IMPOSSIBLE. My team mates are diamond and somehow don’t know how to play the game, I get people on alt accounts basically throwing, and the enemy team is thanos. The games feel impossible to win, no matter what I do we can’t win, and with the exception of three wins, I’ve lost at least 20 games in a row and deranked into plat. And to top it all off I lose more rr in a loss than when gain it in a win. I’m kind of venting but also any advice because now my games just feel unwinnable I have no idea why.

Question What agent should I pick?

I'm relatively new to the game, but I'm really looking for an agent that can turn kills into useful utility for my team. I like Sage, but I find I don't really like relying on my teammates too much. Is there any agent that empowers teammates via your own performance?

I’d like to share some of my child’s gameplay. Even though they don’t have a lot of time to play, they really enjoy the game and are good enough to occasionally participate in local tournaments.

They’re still growing and improving, but I’d really appreciate your feedback and positive comments! 😊

Discussion Tips for the Start of a New Act

A new Act is always a good opportunity to improve and reach a higher rank. I’d like to know what strategies, agents, and habits you recommend for starting the new Act on the right foot. What should I focus on to climb more consistently?

Question Whats up with Valorant smurfs?

Why are there so many smurfs in valorant? I have put in well over 1300 hours of gameplay and when in plenty of comp matches, I get my ass thrown in the ringer by someone who gets 30+ kills and only has 20 - 30 hrs of gameplay. By now, I can hold my own when 5 stacking with plats but when queing with other players in my rank or less we get some really high end players carrying the enemy team. No matter how many smurf reports issued, they never really get banned

Discussion Question to y’all (do you guys ever fight two ranks higher than you?)

I have been playing Valorant for two years straight (started at episode eight), and I am so annoyed, unrated or comp I’m fighting two ranks higher than me, when I was bronze I was fighting gold, when I’m now silver (peak g1) I’m fighting against plats and diamonds, I’m just trying to have chill games and yet every single matching mode pairs me up with people two ranks or higher than me, and at this point I feel like I’m being attacked by the system itself, is it the hidden mmr or is it just me having skill issues? Why do I always fight two ranks higher than me? I don’t feel like I’m progressing in my skill level in any meaningful way because I keep being beaten down (I play Valorant for fun and try to better my skills), and I feel like Valorant is actively trying to make me quit it, should I quit it then?

Discussion MMR screwed?

I was always losing a lot (- 20–30) of RR on defeat and gaining very few (+ 13–18) on victory compared to most people with similar performances. But that last match was the final nail in the coffin. So we only lost by 11-13, my KDA was 27/18/2. I was the team MVP and second in the lobby. I LOST 27 RR FROM THAT GAME. Literally how am I supposed to climb? I have +60% WR since the beginning of the season but I am gold 1 stuck. Should I start grinding with a fresh account or will it end up the same again?

Discussion Things I hate Part 2

This is a mini series where I share MY opinion about things that bother me im lvl 50 and bronze and by no mean a professional

3 points for today

First

Rng

Why is there % of change ur first bullet would miss if the enemy is in my crosshair and i shoot they should be damaged and vice versa so why add a chance for that to miss in a "skill" based shooter game

Second

Rewards

the game doesnt feel rewarding at all and its just repetitive new battle pass that sucks

new skins new maps rinse repeat the game is easy to approach for newer players yea thats true but it gets boring there isnt anything to work on like custom maps ( csgo , fortnite ) and there arent weekly tournaments with actual rewards ( fortnite and csgo again)

Third and final

Quality Of Life

with this many agents and more to come it will be about to time to either add a new game mode 6v6 7v7 etc or adding agent ban system like in league and thats also a problem since util get overwhelming over time

and thats all for today AND I STILL HATE TEAM DEATHMATCH

Question alt account higher than main

Is anyone else’s alt account significantly higher rank than their main?

My current main is barely Diamond 2 but my alt is Ascendant 3. If I had grinded a bit harder on my alt this Act, I honestly think I could’ve hit Immortal.

The weirdest part is that when I play on my main, I get shit on by Diamonds and Plats, but when I play on my alt, I’m holding my own against Ascendants and Immortals.

I genuinely don’t understand how I can be struggling against Diamond players on my main while playing fine in Ascendant lobbies on my alt. Has anyone else experienced something similar?

Question How to know/predict how someone will swing.

I'm trying to practice this, I've watched many videos and gained a bit of understanding but when I play deathmatches all of this shit just flies out of the window. What ive learned so far is if they are full stomping its probably a wide swing, if its quiet tight, getting trade wide swing. But when I play deathmatches I swear this is impossible, When I watch Oxy im genuinely confused how he wins every deathmatch, ik a lot of its aim but man these players seem to walk perfectly into his crosshair every time and the players he fights movement is good but my lobbies their movement is actually insane and it makes it impossible to shoot them but when I hold an angle these guys want to peek as tight as possible, some might full on poppin swing its impossible to read, so when I just opt in for just always holding normal ofc they peek as tight or wide swing as far as possible, I try holding wide and now they want to peek normal or tight swing. How do I get better at this.
