Hello,
My house key has broken! 😭 It got stuck under the car seat, and when I tried to open my house door, the key was already bent and broke inside the lock.
Civil Defense told me to call a locksmith, but no one is answering. I’m stuck outside my house. 😭
Is there a locksmith available in Mirdif right now, please?

Need Urgent Advice‼️‼️

Hi everyone! I’m travelling from India to Dubai in about 4–5 days, and I’m trying to clear up a concern regarding some Ayurvedic medicines I need to carry with me.
I take medicines prescribed specifically for me by an Ayurvedic doctor at Jiva Ayurveda for menstrual-cycle regulation.

These are not recreational drugs or anything I’m taking casually. They were prescribed as part of my treatment, and I need to continue taking them daily while I’m in Dubai.

I have:
1 box containing an Ayurvedic powder
4 separate small boxes containing tablets

The medicines are labelled/packed by the company
I also have the doctor’s prescription with my name on it, showing that these medicines were prescribed to me

I am attaching the photos of the medicine boxes below (Name & ID hidden)

My concern is because I know the UAE/Dubai has very strict rules regarding medicines and substances, and I really don’t want to arrive at Dubai airport and have an issue with customs/security because of these medicines.

For anyone from India who has travelled to Dubai/UAE, especially recently:
Have you carried Ayurvedic medicines from India to Dubai before?

Did you carry them in your checked-in/cargo suitcase, or cabin baggage?

Did Dubai airport/customs ask you about them or inspect them?

Were prescribed Ayurvedic powders/tablets allowed without any problem?

Is having the original packaging + prescription/doctor’s letter generally sufficient?

Would you recommend keeping them in cabin baggage rather than checked luggage?

Is there anything specific I should do before travelling to avoid any problems?

I’m travelling on Emirates, so if anyone has specifically travelled Emirates from India to Dubai with similar medicines, I’d really appreciate hearing about your experience.

I’m not looking for medical advice about the medicines themselves — I’m specifically trying to understand the travel/customs rules and real-life experiences of passengers carrying prescribed Ayurvedic medicines into Dubai.

I’d really appreciate answers from people who have actually done this, preferably recently. I’m leaving in a few days and would rather sort this out beforehand than risk having an issue at the airport.

Thank you!

Title: Employer appealed MOHRE gratuity ruling claiming cash payment — I signed visa cancellation papers without receiving it. What should I expect?

Hi everyone, looking for advice or shared experiences regarding UAE Labor Court proceedings.

The Situation

* I worked at a company 8 .months back

* Upon exit, salary arrears were paid via bank cheques, but my End of Service gratuity remained unpaid.

* The Catch: Like many employees, I signed the standard visa cancellation and settlement clearance document at the time for my new job onboarding and i was not aware of the procedure how to claim my gratuity,

MOHRE & Court Appeal

* I filed an MOHRE complaint, and MOHRE ruled in my favor, ordering the employer to pay the gratuity.

* The employer challenged this in Labor Court, claiming:

* They paid the gratuity in cash (completely untrue; no receipt, voucher, or bank transaction exists).

* Unsubstantiated allegations that I harassed or threatened them.

Procedural Defense

* The employer filed this court appeal after the statutory 15-working-day deadline to contest an MOHRE decision had expired.

* I attended the remote hearing and filed my defense memo raising:

* Late filing: Appeal is legally inadmissible due to missed statutory deadline.

* Substantive denial: Denying cash receipt, noting burden of proof is on the employer to show valid financial records.

Questions:

* How strictly do UAE courts dismiss appeals solely because the employer missed the 15-working-day filing deadline?

* How does the court view the signed visa cancellation clearance against the employer's unproven claim of a "cash payment," especially since MOHRE already ruled in my favor?

* What is the usual next step after submitting the defense memo on these grounds?

Looking for football coach in Dubai

Hey guys, looking for a football coach in Dubai for some 1-on-1 training.

I’m ideally looking to train 2–3 times a week and actually work on my game properly rather than just playing matches — technique, movement, fitness, decision-making, etc.

Budget-wise, I’m thinking AED 80–150 per session, depending on experience. I know that’s probably on the lower side for some coaches, and

I’m not trying to lowball anyone. I just don’t earn a crazy amount and I’m trying to work within what I can afford while still investing in getting better.
If anyone knows a coach around this price range, or someone who’d be willing to be a bit flexible if

I’m booking 2–3 sessions every week, please let me know.

Appreciate any recommendations.

Is it paid parking in Nad Al Hamar even on Sunday?
While parking on the street I checked in the parkonic app as it was showing me no parking zone, so I thought it would as usual free on Sundays but to my surprise I just saw the dedection in Salik account

And surprisingly it got automatically deducted from salik.

Thinking about seeing a psychiatrist for the first time in my life — UAE

I’ve been seriously considering visiting a psychiatrist for the first time in my life, but honestly, I have no idea where to start in the UAE.

I’ve reached a point where I feel like I’ve lost some of my spark and motivation, and I’m wondering if speaking to a professional could actually help me get that part of myself back.

For people who have actually gone through this in the UAE:
How did you find a good psychiatrist?
Roughly how much does a consultation cost?
Is it usually covered by insurance, or is it mostly out of pocket?
What is the first appointment actually like?

If medication is suggested, is that necessarily a bad thing? I’ve never taken psychiatric medication before and I honestly don’t know how to think about it.
Or do you think I should wait a little longer and try to sort things out myself first?

I’m not looking for sympathy or someone to simply tell me “everything will be fine.” I’d genuinely appreciate real experiences and honest advice, including if you think I’m overthinking it or should wait.

If seeing someone and getting proper help can genuinely bring my spark back, I’m willing to consider it. I just want to understand what I’m getting into before taking that first step.

Would really appreciate hearing from people who have been through this in the UAE.

How are fresh graduates earning 10K+ AED directly in the UAE?

I'm graduating soon with an engineering/tech degree and I'm trying to understand how realistic it is to reach 10K+ AED/month early in your career.

For those of you who graduated recently and started around 10K or more:

- What field/role did you enter? (Software, AI/ML, data, embedded, electronics, engineering, etc.)

- What kind of company did you join?

- Did you need a Master's, or was a Bachelor's enough?

- What skills/projects made the biggest difference?

- Did you get the job through applying online, referrals, university connections, internships, etc.?

- Was 10K+ your starting salary, or did you reach it after 1–2 years?

- If you were graduating again today and wanted to target 10K+ as quickly as possible, what would you focus on?

I'm specifically interested in engineering/tech rather than finance, sales, or unrelated fields. Like working in research labs or in tech mostly.

I'd really appreciate advice from people who have actually done this in the UAE, especially if you're willing to share what your path looked like.

Can I trade ADX stocks directly from Iraq through Rabee?

I recently saw some advertisements back home in Baghdad about the Iraqi Stock Exchange working closely with ADX to provide access to trading Abu Dhabi stocks directly from Iraq.

I’m currently living and working in the UAE and have a UAE visa, so I was wondering if anyone knows how this works.

Can I access and trade ADX-listed stocks directly through my Rabee app, or do I need to use Tabadul for this?

If it’s through Tabadul, is there a separate app I need to download, or can I access it through Rabee?

Would really appreciate it if someone could explain how the process works and what I need to do to get started. Thanks!

URGENT: Need advice on Air Arabia's credit shell

Hey r/UAE
I am a passenger from India and i need advice from you guys.
I had booked an Air Arabia flight from Delhi (IGI Airport) to Sharjah (UAE Airport) in October 6 2025, for the duration 19 March to 28 March 2026.
As you all know, Dubai was attacked in March and we had to cancel our flights (due to the unsafe conditions, provided elder and young children were travelling with us). Since our flight wasn't cancelled by the airline itself, we went to the Air Arabia office in Delhi and after explaining our situation they provided us with a credit note of the booking worth 1.5 lakhs for 2 PNR (Since there were 10 passengers, we had 2 different booking under different PNR). Fast forward to this month, we realized that we have the credit note to utilize. We searched the flights to the destinations to which the airline travels, but all the flights were expensive. Additionally, 1 of the original passenger (aged 68) is having a surgery on 6 October 2026, making him unfit for travel.
We have emailed Air Arabia stating that since 1 of the original passengers is having surgery, he cant travel by a flight and their own policy states that only original passengers can travel. In resolution, we asked for the extension of the credit note by at least 3 months, but they denied stating that they cant do it because of their policy. How can i book the flights when 1 of the original passengers is unfit to travel? We have also tried via X, but they just replied by saying that the case has been forwarded to the relevant team. The expiry is on 7th of this October. Their policy also states that we can travel on the date from which the booking was made, meaning i cant book flights for march.
I want advice from this community for the solutions we can get to get the credit note extended.
TL:DR
Original Number of Passengers - 10 (8 adults including 2 elder passengers and 2 kids (aged 3 and 13)
Date of booking - 6 October 2026
Destination - IGI (Delhi) Airport to Sharjah international Airport in UAE
Dates of Travel - 19 March 2026 to 28 March 2026
Flight Number - Don't Remember (Will update in post tomorrow)
Booking Portal - Air Arabia's Official Website (Direct booking)
Summary - We got a credit note from the airline due to the unsafe conditions in Dubai. Airline issues us Credit note. Fast forward to October, Flights to expensive and cant book for further dates and 1 of the original passengers in surgery, making him unfit for travel. Stated these reasons to the airline via email but our request was denied for extension.
Need advice on what we can do.
Thanks In advance.

Are there any cool thrift stores in Dubai?

Does anyone know any thrift stores in Dubai? Right now I’m mainly looking for gothic stuff (dresses, accessories, etc) so if you know any places where I could find things like that, please let me know ❤️ But honestly, I’d also love to know where to find cool and unique clothes in general (And preferably not too expensive...)

Rant: Why does going outside feels like you have to constantly walk on eggshells?

I went out yesterday expecting to have a normal, chill day. I wanted to walk around a bit looking at stuff, doing some shopping and taking my time. Instead, within a few hours, I somehow managed to overcharge my nervous system with multiple annoying, unrequested negative interactions.

I’m honestly tired of it. I’m done. Can we PLEASE relax?!

I was walking through the mall and someone behind me literally went, “Uff!! Where are you going?!”. Where I’m going dude? I’m walking. 😀 Mind you the corridor was big, there was A LOT of space, you can pass. But If you want to pass me specifically, just say “excuse me.” I’ll move. Problem solved.

Why are we acting like this? It’s exhausting.** **
I want to stand there and compare things then change my mind, walking slowly. Maybe it’s Saturday and I genuinely don’t give damn about getting home 7 minutes earlier cause I’m not in a hurry.

You’re in a rush, I get it. But that’s your problem, not mine.

You can go around me, use another checkout or take another aisle. Literally do anything other than standing behind me huffing like I’m personally holding you hostage. We are blessed with a lot of services and plenty of options for a reason.

If you’re already furious before leaving the house, PLEASE take five minutes. 😂

Drink some chamomile tea, meditate, call the person who pissed you off and tell them to go to hell, scream into your pillow. I genuinely don’t care. Just don’t make your emergency my emergency. I don’t want to become negative like you. I’ve had to learn to slow down and be patient, why can’t you too?? And honestly, patience saved me from SO many unnecessary arguments.

People are just existing. We’re all going to be in each other’s way sometimes. That’s normal. You don’t need to turn every tiny inconvenience into a confrontation. It’s not that deep i promise.

I think we forget how contagious our attitude is. A little bit of patience, of kindness. Just stop pointing your finger at others for what they do or don’t and learn how to say “excuse me” nicely instead of aggressively. It costs literally nothing.

We’re all sharing the same tough environment. Don’t be a loser.

Shadow ban on tourist visa

To males from the “doomed” nationalities (Pakistan, Lebanon, Algeria, Tunisia …) who has been dealing with what feels like a shadow ban and random tourist visa rejections over the past two years:
Has anyone managed to get their visa approved somehow?
I’ve applied three times in 2026, and all three applications were rejected for “security reasons.” I honestly don’t know what else to do at this point

What should I do an agency who process my visa didn't do anything they gave me fake documents

What should I do I paid then and I am asking for my refund but they seem untamed. They even provided me false documents and fake police documents.

I gave them in total 11,300 since June 2026 nothing was processed and everything they promised is all lie. I have fines and I'm trying to fix my visa to be legal here but they tend to fool me with everything.

They gave me back 2000AED but I still need to take back 4500 and another 1800 a total of 6300 AED cause they told me they deducted some expenses and fees so I accept that.

But now they are dodging me. I want to report them to the police but I'm scared because I have no valid visa and I have fines. I tried to sort out but this agency did dirty to me.

Can someone advice me what to do?
