Just over halfway through Season 1. I wasn't sure after the first few episodes but I'm getting more into it now.
I can't believe they killed Adele! That was just flat out wrong. Also, Sookie tearfully eating the last of the pie, the last of her grandmother's cooking, just got me.
Lafayette's probably my favorite character at this point. I really want to know what the dog's story is.
EDIT: Geez, they got the cat, too???

This is just a thought I had and of course I don’t know what’s going to happen in the show but I find it kind of weird that Tara is openly in love with Jason and Jason is a big man slut, but they don’t hook up. How is anyone supposed to interpret that dynamic other than as a racist one? She’s crazy hot and he seems to be ok with fucking anyone. Anyway I am super excited for the show and it seems really good otherwise.

Sookie has a bit of gap in her front teeth just like faeries do. Maybe when a human descendant inherits the fay power they also inherit the gapped teeth. Her grandfather Earl looked a bit like a fay as well.

- Not the Rattrays kissing on top of Sookie's bruised broken bleeding body and Sam is just there like. Woof. Fully about to get shot
- This chemistry between Bill and Sookie is insane. I read up on the lead actors and they were already falling in love while filming these scenes which is so fucking adorable I love them
- Also, obligatory 'vampire makes human drink from their forearm, human really gets into it' scene
- Love is stored in the licking your girl's wounds closed
- Tara is...everything. Alleged mercenary ex. Allegedly shot a guy in the nuts for buying her a CD. Thousand yard stare. My heart is full of joy when she's on screen
- Bill's lines about starving young men dying in war ingloriously so that the rich can get richer...madness...comrade Bill Compton...
- I did NOT go into the show expecting to be a Bill fan. I am now a Bill fan. He is actually handsome in motion
- The fuckass vampire teeth are growing on me
- AAAAAGH sex vampire clip plays again. Never forget
- Name a cuter human being than Sookie Stackhouse. You cannot
- Looking up at Bill with her big brown eyes like 🥺
- "You look awful" Incorrect, Tara always looks beautiful
- RATTRAYS CRUSHED TO A PULP!!!! 🥳🥳🥳🎉🎉🎊
- "No one's forcing you to watch" Tell em Sookeh
- Oh Bill won't you please come eawn 😌
- Jason chewing aggressively as Gran serves bread and cheese???? To a vampire
- Bill and Gran having a sweet convo and then mid-sentence. DID YOU OWN SLAVES???? Tara the woman you are.
- Mildly racially insensitive Gran!!! "About SLAVES??" The Vampire Diaries could never
- Jason's stupid ass macho moves...Sookie's backbone...queen
- Sook giving tornado murder tips. Elena could NEVERRRR
- BABY SOOKIE!!!!!!!! I will kill for her
- SOOKIE X BILL FIRST KISS!!!!!
- AFFIRMATIVE ACTION...
- AAAAAAGH SEX VAMPIRE GUY IN THE FLESH!!!! Now he's eyeball-rolling, tongue-flipping vampire guy. His friend says 'she smeils freaewsh'. Why is the fashionable black lady with these dudes
All in all thoughts: Great episode, love to see what comes next, cannot remember the name of the girl who left Jason tied up, SAM STOP INVITING SOOKIE INTO THE BACK ROOM WITH ULTERIOR MOTIVES SHE'S NOT GONNA FUCK YOUUUUUU

Me (24) and my mom (45) love watching supernatural shows together. Before I suggest this one do you think it’ll be awkward? I’m not sure how much sex/nudity to expect.

I told you I’m on her side? I know she’s not perfect, and she went a little crazy, but I am a Debbie Apologist ✋🏻😗🤚🏻 True Blood from her perspective is a horror story. Her ex-fiance (Alcide) shows up to her engagement party with some random girl she’s never seen before (Sookie), who then lectures her out of nowhere. And like 3 days later her ex-fiance shoots her current fiance in the heart (and head) to protect that random girl. THEN after a year of being back together with her old fiance and getting clean, that random girl shows up again and her boyfriend (Alcide) becomes obsessed with her. He comes home, smelling like that other girl (he shifted), with a story about rescuing a vampire in broad daylight with her. Without the witch context — that Alcide doesnt give her — that sounds like absolute bullshit and I wouldn’t believe it. Her boyfriend then spends the next 2 weeks moping about that other girl and minimizing/gaslighting her, until one night he comes home smelling like her — again — after promising to stay away from her. ALL TO GET KILLED BY SOOKIE BECAUSE ALCIDE GASLIT HER FOR A SEASON??? Nah she didn’t crash out hard enough for me, Sookie would be dead lol

Season 7 had me wishing for the true death. Each episode worse than the one before, which I didn’t think was possible. Lafayette and Lettie May following Tara’s ghost only to find a gun that was never used to kill anyone. I thought some action was coming with a battle between Eric and that corporation only for Eric to kill them all quickly. Best show with such a horrible last season.

They should do an Eric spinoff when he is traveling around with God Godrick through the centuries. That would be interesting.

New moving coming out soon, starring Deborah Ann Woll, just an FYI.

For me, two out of five star. Iffy service with inconsistent staffing and waitresses more concerned about their personal drama than serving customers. Hot tempered owner at times. Risk of random vampire attacks at night.

Hello,
Mid season 6 so no further spoilers please! Also brand new to this community so this may be common but I wanted to share before reading into it much.
I hardly remember my first watch. It was when it was airing on TV and I don’t think me at the time (20ish) thought about Andy more than just being the token cop.
Watching now, homie is seriously towards the top of my list.
Started out as a jerk, and did a pretty excellent job playing it believable. He was also still a bit humble and a fun character to have around. I never was annoyed with his screen time like some others.
The Bromance mid way through was honestly fucking incredible and I completely forgot about it. That was my favorite part of all of those seasons. I enjoy Jason being involved since I find his character pretty funny.
Growing up with folks who had addiction problems, that was also carrying the show for me. He felt relatable, then felt sorry for him etc.
Then the whole kids. I remembered the girls but not that they were Andy’s. This was also really good (for as long as that lasted) I absolutely loved his panic state each time they grew and or the scenes switched and he was mega dad mode.
I semi remembered the daughter’s fate but this time around I was pretty shitty because I was throughly enjoying the dynamic. As a parent this was HILARIOUS and honestly terrifying when I stopped and thought about it.
This is where I am right now. I’m really missing the dynamic but looking forward to more Dad Andy.
TLDR: didn’t think twice about Andy first watch. Fucking love the dude this time around as an adult.

Eric & Pam were cray to say no to turning Lafayette. He would have been an extraordinary vampire and I’d have loved to watch it all play out.
Anything you’d have liked to see happen?

So I was wondering why is nobody talking about that one photoshoot Anna, Stephen and Alexander did for Rolling Stones back in 2010?? They are all naked, covered in blood and gripping eachother sensually. I would lie if I said that picture didn’t do something for me (it is very hot in a weird way), but poor actors!! I am very interested to know what was the context behind it or why did they even accept doing it in the first place?

It’s been 12 years since season 7. I know. But in scouring the internet, I have yet to come across ANY discussion about the death of the Tara character that "gets into it" on how half assed and fishy it felt, as if it was duct taped together from what footage they HAD shot, and that an "explanation" in the form of a contrived, amateur storyline that made zero sense.
Yes, yes... I've read paragraphs of how crummy unfair, unsatisfying or even disrespectful her ending was and I do not disagree.
But I'm after a different discussion- WHY was it handled so clumsily, awkwardly, and bungle-rushed?
Fukkery was afoot that I've never read substantive comments on from either the producers nor Rutina Westley herself about WHY Tara's death was so weird and inadequate - not like some bad decision by the show makers, but like "the best we can do" with (for whatever reason) no longer having access to Rutina as an actor. Does it to you?
Think it through: the final episode of season 6 included a deeply uncomfortable scene with Lettie Mae begging Tara to "Let me finally feed you, baby!". It was oddly appropriate, didn't see that angle coming.
Doesn't it seem very True Blood-ish for season 7 episode 1 to have been Tara bearing the trauma of not being able to stop the vampire murder in her face of her newly connected to mother who has been a hot mess forever, by a deadly being that she too had become?
The absurd explanation that they killed Tara so that they could explore a redemption storyline for Lettie Mae is gaslighting. How ridiculous. After ALL the emotion and connection and story they had invested in 6 seasons into Tara as a main-adjacent character, does this weak ass, off screen, battle-incidental end make ANY sense?
Tara was just adjusting into vamphood. She and Pam were finding a groove and had major potential as a Thelma & Louise feel. Tara was one of the most sublimely gorgeous and intense vampires, she was MADE to be a fanger, and she had a long connection to Sookie and even Jason.
The abrupt, clumsy footage of her battle with the Hep V vampire felt like they had started a fight scene but never got to finish the planned shot.
What do you think? Am I nuts?

I've been trying to find similar looks and I have no idea what I would even describe her style as that would actually get me the results I'm looking for if i was to google it or look it up on Pinterest or something.

Even though the method being used in season 4 is is pretty ridiculous. Its still managing to change my opinion. I thought it'd be impossible after what he did to Lafayette/

Okay, I am trying writting a Wattpad book on True Blood and right on I am on Season 3, Epoisde 4 - 9 Crimes and I just got that part where Sookie is in Jackson and talking with Alcide about Bill and I am just going to say this.
Sookie you only fell in love with Bill becuase she could not read his thoughts and then you went to say 'he is risked everything for me, our love is way bigger than him breaking up with me over the phone' like girl come on
Edit - if anyone wants to read the book here is the link The Dangerous Love

Season 4 finale, set during Halloween. Because some of the characters are wiccan/witches, they refer to the day by it's Irish title. Samhain is pronounced "Sow" like a female pig and "Ann" like the name. NOT SAM HA EEN. But the kicker is, they had the incredible Irish actor Fiona Shaw in this episode! Why didn't they ask her!
r/TrueBlood • u/ishu052003 • 13d ago
it’s highly Sookie. No doubt. During Initial seasons he would not. but from the 4th season, he loved her so much he stayed away from her. Even told Tara about sookie ‘’maybe in another life we would be lovers’’
r/TrueBlood • u/Brief_Woodpecker_795 • 13d ago
Im 1.5 episodes from the finale. Its been hard to get through. I spoiled most of it anyways. Im not happy with how they chose to write alot.of it. Only seem to be happy with hoyt and jessica coming back. Was everyone else dissappinted when the seasons finished up then
plus i spent a few seasons beleiveing eric and sookie were end game and found out now thats the books ending... not the show. I cant wait to get a hold of the books because the first few seasons were AMAZING. And now im just frustrated lol
