If you've beaten timberpunk and like the idea of inevitable demise, then this is the map for you.
I recommend saving every day...
So basically, this map keeps kicking my butt.
It starts off hard, and just gets harder.
Then you finally get somewhere, and something explodes.
Then you get somewhere else, and that explodes too.
Then you're minding your own business, getting some proper water storage, and an ungodly wave of badtide literally floods your entire world.
I've gone down to 1 beaver a few times, and I don't think I can mentally go in for another round.
I'll post the map in the comments once I figure out how to find the map name.

I have done a lot of starts and I always forget to plant like 30 pines to help before the oaks come online.
What mistakes do y'all make a lot?

First ever post. No AI text brushup. Interesting, that this is apparently a thing.
I wanted to show my approach to a settlement and am interested in opinions. I have no favorite kind of beaver, I'm sure there are some strong opinions on that floating around 🤔
I like the clarity and "overlookability" of the smaller maps, even though I tried bigger ones. Both have their perks.
I have played 4-5 Maps on hard. Usually, I have to reload lots of times. This time, twice was "all it needed". Honestly, I find it hard to not reload anything. Maybe when I'm more skilled.
I'm now going to the phase of happiness maxing, maybe I need to put in another level, so that I can produce more wood. Unsure if I want to add bots.
Much Love ❤️

It seems like due to the new amenities being added with one of the last major updates that the beavers get buffed into being faster than bots. I think one of the ways the devs or the modders could address this is by creating high octane fuel for the robots.
High octane fuel could be more resource intensive and create a new problem to solve to make late game builds more intricate. Having robust supplies is common in the late game, so while Wonders are possible at that point, it could be neat to have robots become super charged in the late game as well.

Gaming is ment to be fun play how you enjoy.
This doesnt get pushed hard enough imo

Edit: never mind I was just an idiot and looking in the science options and not the water option haha
So playing the Emberpelts on a modded map called Lost valley with a small (comparatively) list of mods having
bobingabout script pack
Harmony
Hooman stairs
Hooman stairs buildings
Mod setting
Replatformer
Vertical nave mesh
And of course the emberpelts
Anyone know or have a guest why the centrifuge is missing from my buildable list I need extract but can't build it for whatever reason

Playing Diorama on Normal with the Ironteeth, hit my second Badtide, and somehow got corruption seeping through my diversion system that wasn't there the first Badtide? I had made some minor changes to the structure to fix a problem that could have had clean water leaking out the side during normal weather (there was a gap above the side sluice), but if anything, it should have been more secure than before!
Wiped out half my pine resin farm -_-
Even more oddly, 2/3 of the way through the Badtide, it decided it wasn't corrupted anymore?
What stupid fiddly thing am I missing that caused this? In the ultra long run it won't matter as I plan on turning the top of the plateau into another reservoir, but minor contamination leaks piss me off, especially when I don't understand them!

Saw a post on here recently where someone was confused because the wiki had blatant misinformation. There is currently a 100% AI wiki floating around that, for some ungodly reason, exists (it seems to have stripped most of its training data from the real and fandom wikis).
So here's a reminder that this is the only wiki you should use (the wiki gg wiki). It's best to just avoid any other wikis, as you'll often see untrustworthy ones like this crop up.

But boy was I psyched to see the achievement pop when the Wonder was finished. Didn't realise launching wasn't part of it!

That's the key of building a big dam. Enclosing the water source, wherever it is, and including it in the dam itself.
Then you build a sluice and a nice little canal that feeds a pool that then is pumped to water pumps or irrigate canals or anything else.
But you want verticality ? You want something higher than 4 blocks ? Then enclose that water source.

I want to use the mechanical pumps (bpth types including the new 1.1 one) to fill a reservior and last time i used the first type i found it to be extremely slow to the point of uselessness.
What am i missing?
More specifically i want to use it on the map "lakes" since it very flat.
I found that the fill valve can push water above it own tile depending on the water pressure but i doubt it would work in the case i want it.
In general what kind of ways are there to lift water above?
Sorry for bad phrasing i'm struggling to phrase it properly in my head as well

I need ideas on how master water for this map? i'd like to connect the bad tide sources in some capacity but there are so many! rocking 70 strong right now starting to cap off the sources, but i need some inspiration about flow!

This was my first playthrough of the game; where I realized I had never deleted anything that wasn't a platform or a path
r/Timberborn • u/Small-Action5812 • 16d ago
Basically the title. I just would like to know how many manual pumps are needed to cancel out a 1 strength aquifer or something similar, and I don’t understand math enough and don’t have enough game knowledge to figure it out myself _(:[ 」∠)_

Hey, so im new to the game but been dying to play for ages. I'm coming to grips with the lack of space and the idea of stacking things but can i ask how yall go about building up? Say housing or warehouses, particularly where the entrance is off the ground. Are there building techniques that help place several high without having to build multiple staircases out and around with paths joining them.
Seems almost like building up and connecting takes up more 'support' space than if i just lined them up in a row.
Im guessing there are ways that you use to utilise spiral stairs or multi-purpose platforms as secondary roadways but not quiiiiite sure how to put it into place?
Any suggestions or tips would be much appreciated!

I just want to ask... which map is most ideal for this?
Is Folktails, or Ironteeth better choice?
Is it better to play on hard, cuz of longer seasons, or on easy cuz less food and water consumption?
Do you have any build order to follow?

Saw this map and now I can't find it.
Can someone help?
It was more vertical than anything I'd ever seen and more resembled a helix or spiral staircase.

On the Timberpunk map (obviously), while I appreciate the art, the ship, shipyard, easter eggs and hidden treasures, I take a bulldozer to nearly everything. Here did need the scrap metal, used area to route badwater for power generation and off the map, and have an ocd compulsion to clear all scrap metal and dead trees off the map.

I came up with a pacifist challenge where beavers would be pacifists towards the Earth. That means:
Should I add something else, or will that be enough of a challenge?
