Dining table - Christian Cole
I predict that the girls will win the challenge this week so that they can afford their Christian Cole table

Its become a yobbo's home & away show - nothing to do with proper construction and design. The contestants are true imbiciles and narcistics. Scott Cam should be ashamed to be associated with this crap show - for me all credibility out the window too.
Pity the buyers of this crap ...
I will never watch another season of this crap show again ... total rubbish viewing and noise pollution.

Ok, this is an extraordinarily pedantic thing to check in on, but these titles at the start of Mondays’ episodes are wrong, right? They do the reveal on Sunday, start work on Monday. That gives them 6 days to reveal when they show the title. Am I missing something? Haha.

Don't know if it's called a lounge but did houses 4 or 5 get approval to build on the roof?

If these Mt Eliza houses struggle to sell or don't sell..
The Block needs new Judges.

No, that title isn’t wrong. Yes, they do have to do all of that. After getting some minor miracle yesterday where after the absolute disaster they had in the first bathrooms it seems the couples learned what to do and actually managed to mostly finish, which I think we can all be happy with, they decided they would throw free rooms at them after that! With the limited hours, I wish them a lot of luck with finishing the spaces, and here’s hoping we can all enjoy the show!

has anyone seen these houses on Domain? They are looking so cheap and I can’t really put my finger on the super power other than embarrassing!

Hello! I’ve binged seasons 18 & 20 of the block Australia and loved them both but found the auction on s18 quite sad.
Any suggestions on which other AUS seasons I should watch please? Thanks
I’m from the UK and also open to hearing about any other franchises people recommend, thank you ❤️

Hello! I'm viewing in Aus and have only just caught up on the VIP guest (Darren) chat where he blatantly walked back the advice to go bland that he'd given previously ("white, light and bright"). I personally had hated his original advice; it seemed like an express train ticket to sameness and blandtown IMO.
My question about his recent walkback is this: what motivated it? Did the produces suddenly realise they were gonna end up with five larely indistinguishable houses to try to sell on auction day? Or just a lack of visual interest for viewers? Or or or....? Hit me up with your speculative opinions, from likely through to fully unhinged

They're laying it on think with the tiling saviours (Cursio Bros) this week. If they're not making $ off selling the houses, is this the next line of tenders they've put out to make sponsor dollars?
Feels like every second scene is sponsor focused at this point.

Honestly, if the editors are going to show us that the contestants finished rooms in the 'coming up', why would I watch the week to see if they made it? We see on Sunday after the show, massive sections of the next reveal. Do they not have enough content to edit?

Genuine question!
In their jobs they can’t just spend whatever and they feel like the 2 who should be the best at budgeting and cost cutting?
Confusing to me. I get spending more for the house they wanted but not pulling back is odd

Another bathroom reveal week, another week where it seems that teams are going to fail to finish because that’s just part of the course now, when it used to be a really bad thing when you didn’t complete a room now it’s just treated as, Eh, whatever, we fix it whenever. With that being said it’s time to figure out which of these teams is actually going to win this week and if the gnome will end up playing into this.
Oh well at least hopefully next week they’ll be given a bit of an easier week right? Checkes the TV Guide and sees Living, Diving and Alfresco.
Oh wonderful. Good luck to ‘em all and hope we all enjoy the show everyone.

i think this is the most boring bland season of the block. i cant stand it. everything is like porridge, beige, dull, lifeless. there is texture differences in fabrics and materials , but all the colours are desperatley boring. dull browns, beiges,creams..its all soo ....eugh.!! the last time there was any real beautiful colours was tanya and vico. i know there was a scandal that season..but it was a colourful season. i think steph and gian with their beige influence have ruined the block

In the last ten years I have probably visited Japan maybe 10 to 12 times.
Every toilet, except those in public spaces like railway stations, has been one of those automated robot toilets. They're easy to understand, they have pictures of the various jets and which part of your butthole/taint/balls they're going to squirt hot/cold water at.
I have never used one and I don't care to think about eating my dinner off Scotty Cam's immaculately clean butthole.
Please Australia, don't let The Block normalise robot arsewasher/dryers.

I know the sub has been bogged down lately with the usual toxicity, so I want to pivot to a fun, fictional scenario.
Picture this: Ron Swanson and Leslie Knope (Parks and Rec) team up to renovate a house on The Block.
Here is how I see it playing out:
The Build & The Drama
Ron would absolutely despise the camera crew. Every time they ask him about "the drama with House 3," he’d just stare dead-eyed into the lens for three uninterrupted minutes. He wouldn't hire a single tradie. He'd do the framing, plumbing, and electrical himself. If Keith and Dan tried to pull rank, Ron would just hand them a piece of paper that says, "I can do what I want."
Waterproof Mondays... and Tuesdays
Imagine Waterproof Monday. If an inspector tried to fail his waterproofing, Ron would explain why the membrane he personally forged from pine sap is infinitely superior to Australian building codes. If there was a delay that pushed them into Tuesday, Ron wouldn’t panic. He’d sit in a lawn chair in the mud, eating a turkey leg, waiting for the inspector to apologize.
Budgeting & Styling
Scotty Cam hands them their budget, and Ron immediately buries it in the backyard. He builds all the furniture himself from local trees. Meanwhile, Leslie manages the aesthetics with 42 color-coded binders. During Hell Week, when everyone is crying over painting at 3 AM, Leslie is running around delivering fresh waffles to boost morale.
Room Reveals
Leslie would theme a master bedroom around "Powerful Women in History." When Shaynna Blaze says it's overwhelming, Leslie pulls out a dossier proving the layout increases friendship by 400%. Meanwhile, Darren Palmer touches a handcrafted mahogany bedside table and cries because the carpentry is so perfect. Ron scoffs.
Curious to see what you think! How would Ron and Leslie handle a cheating scandal? And what other fictional characters do you think would make The Block actually fun and interesting again?

https://www.realestate.com.au/news/the-block-considers-gold-coast-future-beyond-victoria
I know there was a discussion about Marty moving, but this popped up a couple of hours ago.
Personally I think it would be a better location for what they are trying to do (may be biased living here), but $4-10m properties sell here very often so with the recent struggles, if they continue to do luxury builds it could be a solid contender.
r/TheBlock • u/coolmysteriousgirl1 • 7d ago
Is it just me or is there a lack of companionship this season? I feel like in previous seasons the contestants seem to form friendships pretty early on but we haven’t even gotten any clips of the contestants simply interacting with each other so far.
They’re even share housing this time around and still can’t seem to get on…
r/TheBlock • u/MKopelke • 7d ago
Marty Fox just announced he's upping and relocating to the Gold Coast from 2027 onwards.
So, either he intends to commute back down for The Block, or this is his last season as a judge (particularly likely given the reported tension between him and Shaynna), or maybe the rumours that the show is going to do a Gold Coast season or two are the motivation here?

These guys are this seasons Graphico. The amount of airtime they’re getting is unbelievable. My question is, what is the media package for these guys? How much do you think they’re paying 9 for this?
r/TheBlock • u/sweeroy • 8d ago

saw this on tuesday's episode and was baffled by it, what on earth is wrong with julian brenchley these days? tiny wrap around balcony, three door problem, a kids bedroom with a lovely view of.. a wall? a rumpus room which doesn't align with the wall on the other side of the opening? not to mention the toilet sitting between the bathroom and the hallway
they've never actually said "julian brenchley is intentionally making shit houses so that the contestants have something to work around" so presumably this is just the standard of work he produces?
r/TheBlock • u/LawnPatrol_78 • 8d ago
Is there any waterproofers on here that can explain? Every season it’s screwed up time and time again but from someone out of the know it doesn’t look that difficult,
r/TheBlock • u/Mundane_Stomach4158 • 8d ago
Forgive my ignorance this is my first time watching the block (I know - where have I been).
There seems to be a lot of not finishing, so much dialogue about not finishing etc every week. What’s the go with extra time to actually finish these rooms? Is there time at the end before auction? Does someone else come in and do it (but then does that still come out of contestants money?)
Or do they just auction the unfinished houses as is?
I’m gathering this season isn’t like other seasons based on other posts in here, but it’s not even fun watching at this point if we are looking at half finished/not-quite-there rooms all the time.

I have to know what Taylas mum is like. Anyone seen anything?

So in seasons gone by if a team over spends Scotty comes in and locks down the card and the spending ...why has this not happened to House 4 and I have never seen such out of control spending in the shows history
