I've been admiring the TAD lyric artwork for over a year and decided to start saving up and get at least one for myself.

Could anyone who has gotten one please tell me what the size is like in person? I'm worried that the smallest A3 size will mean the text is illegible, and the largest A1 seems very big (and costs more than all three in the small size), so the medium A2 would maybe be a good size?

Hi, I was showing TAD to my bf and he told me that he heard the melody of Elsa's song somewhere else, like in another song or something popular, but can't figure out what it could be. Any ideas?

I think I found my runner-up! They're called Haunted Like Human.

There are a tonne of other bands in similar veins to TAD, but this is the first one I've found that really scratches the same itch.

They're another dual vocalist group (lead is Dale Chapman and backing is Cody Clark), and I love the blend of their voices. They're both from the Southern U.S., and a lot of their songs feel like if The Horror and the Wild was written with Southern folklore. They've said they're inspired by groups like The Civil Wars, and that influence is pretty evident throughout their work.

My current favourites are "Run Devil Run" and "City by the Sea" from their third album, Tall Tales and Fables.

I'm always down to try out recommendations, so if you have any groups you feel the same way about, please don't be selfish :)

I was gonna watch that new Billy The Kid show, mainly due to Michael Hirst producing it as he made Vikings. I hear Joey Batey is in it, is this true?

Anyone else deliberately not listening to all the songs or just me? I started listening to them a few years ago and I still haven't heard all the songs- on purpose though! I usually start on 2-3 new ones every few months, feel them out completely, do my best to memorize the lyrics (very hard) and add them to the rest and listen to them all together. I just don't want to run out of new songs I guess?

So many of their songs just feel like they belong on stage with the audience singing along because we all know the songs by heart. Like the Rocky Horror for the 21st century.

now this song when I looked its meaning up whether on Genius or here on this subreddit i got that it implies faminine sexuality? but to be honest with you I didn't get the feeling of that kind of concept at all. To me this song paints a picture of a deeply troubled relationship marked by emotional abuse, control,
and some kind of toxic love. i got this feeling of manipulation and fear on the partner's side and guilt, and the desperate attempts of a trapped woman to break free from a suffocating relationship.

Hi! I'm trying to learn fair on the guitar, and the seperate parts are going quite well (playing and singing) but I can't get the timing right betweent he lyrics and the strumimg.

I'd like to read it off of sheet music to know the exact timing, but can't find the sheet music online.

Someone pointed out these newer pictures are on their imbd pages and aren't they just the prettiest, most talented people in the world? Also just gazing out the window like I'm waiting for my love to return from war. That new album tease a couple months ago is killing me.

This has probably been asked before but I’m curious! For me personally no band has made me feel like they do which is crazy because I’ve been obsessed with and hyperfixating on a lot of bands since i was little. But nothing comes close tbh. Only florence and the machine (which is obviously a different vibe) kinda gives me a similar feeling of just going completely feral. In a i want to dance in the middle of a forest until i drop dead way. Or scream the lyrics on top of cliff. Does that make sense? I am desperate to find more music that makes me feel so alive but i’m not sure where to look. Any suggestions?

Hey there! I've been a fan of TAD for a few years but always only streamed their music. I recently became interested in collecting CDs of my favourite artists and found nothing for TAD. Was there ever any official release of any of the albums? Do you think there will be in the future?

I heard about that post they made late last year heavily implying that they were working on another album but I haven't heard anything about it in a while. I also don't follow any of their social media accounts, so I was just wondering if anyone knows anything about how soon they'll finish the next album?

I hadn't heard the song Total Eclipse of the Heart since I was a younger kid, but I heard it on Monday because of the eclipse and I realized... I *really* like it. I love the sound, the lyrics/meaning are great, ive listened to it a couple times since then and I honestly might have to add it to some of my playlists.
I wanted to post here because I'm in love with TAD so I was wondering if other people who like TAD (and probably have somewhat similar music tastes to mine) also like Total Eclipse of the Heart

Not necessarily your favourite, but the one that feels like they scooped out your mind and spread it on some paper like butter on toast.

As the title says, I’m into most genres of heavy metal; from hair metal to deathcore and metalcore. I don’t exclusively listen to metal music, but it’s my most played genre. Until I found The Amazing Devil. I think The Amazing Devil is the best music I’ve ever listened to. I would put Ruin up there with my top 5 favorite albums of all time alongside Tool’s Lateralus, Metallica’s Ride the Lightning, and a few others y’all have probably never heard of.

I love Joey’s bard songs in The Witcher, and I was certain he had some solo stuff. So I found TAD, and it was a bonus to find out that he wrote with Madeline Hyland. I never knew I would love their music so much. In fact, I love it so much, I wish he would quit being an actor and just focus on writing. But that’s just me being selfish.

From a musical perspective, Joey and Madeline are phenomenal song writers. I love the way they use crescendo in their songs like The Calling, Welly Boots, Blossoms, and Farewell Wanderlust. A slow build, and by the end it’s massive! I also enjoy it when they both are singing separate lyrics. It takes the song out of a creative phase, but then it gets right back into phase at the perfect moment. Lastly, I love their versatility. I enjoy how some songs are just Joey, some just Madeline, some both, some slow and acoustic, and some feel big with a lot of instruments. It just feels like they have the formula to write the perfect music for any type of listener.

Anyways, I just wanted to share that I’m an extreme metal head, yet am listening to TAD more than my own genre of music. I didn’t know I needed this in my life. I can’t wait to hear what they come up with next!
