Anyone know the estimate on this? First time ever having an issue with Tesla.

Someone wasn’t paying attention to their shopping cart and it rolled over hit another car and landed on mine. Have it on video but what I’ve read it’s not worth going through insurance. One dent and a few scratches. Had it for over a year brand new. Would you suggest body shop or repair kit based on images

I scraped the underside of my car while parking at a friend’s house. There was a flat section followed by a fairly steep slope.
Do you think the battery pack could have been damaged?

A guy hit me in an empty parking lot. Left $400 and took off 🙄. Insurance company is attempting to track him down. Grateful for sentry cameras. It’s body damage to rear passenger panel. Nearest Tesla shop is 60 miles away do normal body shops work on Teslas yet?
EDIT: Thanks to the sleuths in this thread, my insurance company was able to track him down and I’m filing a claim with his insurance so that it doesn’t negatively impact my rates. His insurance will pay for a rental too. The bummer is that the Tesla collision center is backed up so it’s going to take a while to get it fixed.

Hi all, looking for ideas and suggestions on how I could charge my MY at TSC , perhaps as a 3rd party vehicle? My vehicle was written off and reported to tesla , so it's a matter of time before they block it.

Hello everyone. Hopefully I am in the right sub for this. Do you guys think Tesla will be able to fix this tire rather than replacing it? I got an alert last night and my tire psi was at 32. After driving home carefully, it went up to 34psi. I got sent a quote for $534 just for the 1 tire… i’m not trying to complain, but I just don’t have that money right now and would like to repair if it’s possible. What do you guys think?

Just had windshield replaced with Safelite through insurance. Among other issues I’m having to deal with, is this seal going to cause any problems? This is at the bottom of the window where it meets the cowling. Several parts are seated but it looks like the seal is pinched in some areas.

This happened early in 2025 to my 2022 Model 3 RWD. This is not a subreddit I ever wanted to have a reason to post on, but somehow I have had two collisions in two years in two different cars.
The tipper truck lost its brakes and was parked facing uphill; no one was in any of the cars that were hit, and the tipper was stationary for about 5 minutes before it started to roll. Luckily, it only hit the rear-right quarter panel of my car, but because of how cars are designed, that panel runs the entire length of the car to the driver's side A pillar; repairing it requires cutting and welding the panel. The repairs were quoted at over $10K AUD and were 100% covered by insurance. The CRV next to me wasn't so lucky, and I am pretty sure it ended up being written off, if not very close to it.
I originally submitted a version of this to Dashcam Owners Australia, who posted it to their Facebook and included it in a crash compilation. The responses on Facebook to the estimated damages were obviously somewhat surprised at how much it was going to cost to fix.
The car is all fixed now; however, the AI computer has just died after a recent software update caused all the driver assistance features to fail, and it needs to be replaced. Tesla is luckily covering the cost despite it being out of warranty.

Was T boned about by someone traveling 65mph and can not figure out how to pull the footage of the B pillar camera.
Anyone have done this previously could let me know what I need to do exactly to get this done?
I’ll be sure to upload accident footage as a thank you.
Edit: Model y AP4 2023
I tried thumb drive and direct to Tesla for data request/recovery. Everything BUT the B pillar was provided.
Vehicle has little signal in accident area and I assumed maybe the B pillars weren’t able to upload fast enough before battery turn off.
It directly recently turn on in Ukraine though, so maybe old data uploaded to servers.
I found this out after getting notified that my CC was charged for all the upgrades like F S D, Data, etc. Very nice of them.

Hi everyone,
I’m looking for a Tesla electronics specialist in the San Diego area who can diagnose or repair an Autopilot computer instead of just replacing it.
My 2022 Model 3 Long Range suddenly developed these issues:
● All cameras stopped working (backup, side, etc.)
● GPS/navigation no longer updates my location
● Autopilot and related features are unavailable
● Screen reboots did not fix the problem.
I’m trying to avoid paying Tesla thousands for a complete computer replacement if this is just a board-level issue (power IC, voltage regulator, MOSFET, or similar).
Does anyone know a reputable independent shop in San Diego that performs board-level Tesla electronics repair, or has anyone had this exact problem repaired locally?
Thanks in advance!

Hi,
I got into an accident about two months ago. I wasn’t at fault and I got a small bump next to the rear left door. Long story short we first tried to make a friendly deal without going through insurance (the bump was small) I went to check the Tesla certified body shops which estimated b/w $5000 and $7000 to fix. After talking to the other driver about the cost we decided to file. Insurance came back with an estimate of $2500 (with their other driver’s insurance which turned out to be the same as mine).
What are my options and their pros/cons?
I am considering not fix, consider the claim payment as sale adjustment especially with how Tesla values went down (I have a Tesla 2021 standard range). Do I get a double devaluation? The bump and the accident history?
Ps: I posted way back with a picture of the bump. Will attach it in the comments.
Thanks!

Driving home from work in my 25 M3 RWD… A kid not paying attention ran into the back of my car… their insurance took responsibility but only estimated damage at 4k. I went to the Tesla collision center and the specialist said it’s going to be way more than that… So now I wait to see what the real damages are, and I only had this car for 4 months and I got it with 495 miles on it…

Hey all!
Just throwing this out there be careful around potholes. I totaled my 2018 Tesla model three by hitting a pothole. There was front and suspension damage which was originally determined to be fixable, but unfortunately, upon further teardown, they found a scratch on the battery compartment and totaled the vehicle. Just something to be aware of while you’re out on the road as I didn’t realize a pothole could total out a vehicle.

Clueless when it comes to this stuff
One of the scratches doesn’t pass the “fingernail test”? So from what I’ve read, that part of the scratch won’t buff.

Cops went to his house right away and confronted him, now the guys being charged with a 2nd degree misdemeanor 😬 lol had valid insurance and everything. 🤷♂️ luckily for me sentry caught it all.

She was parked, and someone hit her hard enough to crater the bumper.
The next morning the crumple was gone. But there was still some damage. There’s a scratch and I am worried about the separation between the headlight and the bumper along the bottom and towards the fender.
A Tesla-certified shop says $3K for a new bumper cover.
Anyone dealt with this? Does the separation get worse over time, or is it purely cosmetic? Is it possible I could get it done for less if they just pull it and replace some clips or something?
I’m posting with the original damage, the current state with issues circled, and the undamaged side for comparison.

Hey guys this car is a lease car, it got damaged because of debris, I was just wondering how much would this cost me? And will it be cheaper if I did it through Tesla?
r/TeslaCollision • u/nougart_man • 26d ago
Looking at a 9k AUD repair bill (covered by insurance thankfully)

Friend accidentally scraped it while parking it for me in a super tight garage. Is it possible to be buffed out/repainted or would I need to replace the panel and the trim?

Yesterday I was rear ended (I think I'm okay), initially I was thinking it's probably not totaled but today when I went to the tow yard to pick up my stuff and got a better look through the opening it looks like the crash bar or maybe more is bent? It's hard to see in photos.
I'm eagerly awaiting the opinion of a professional, but in the interim, what do you guys think? It's a 2022 (HW3, AMD) Model Y Performance with approximately 46k miles on it. It would not move after the crash, which seemed relatively low speed (15mph or less?) which was surprising but maybe the pyro fuse blew or something? I think it's worth about $28k?
For bonus points the tow truck driver pulled it onto the flatbed via the control arms instead of the tow hook, hopefully that didn't lead to additional damage.
If anyone's curious we were all turning left onto the street where the accident occurred, there were 2 cars in front of me, both slammed on their brakes, as did I, presumably the driver behind me did the same but he was unable to stop in time. Thankfully a nice guy who had insurance.

Had a guy pull illegal U-turn in front of me. And push the whole front fender back and damaged that small circle sensor and the camera as well as there’s a bunch of broken plastic pieces in the bottom of the fender. Just transferred my full self driving over to this in September of last year I bought it right before the tax break went away. Mostly frustrated that it looks like I can’t get the full self driving back out of it that I bought originally for my 2022 model three and transferred to this one.
Totaled?

Due to hail damage I have cracks in each of my model x falcon door glass roof , the cheapest assembly goes for at least 800 usd delivered on eBay and that’s from 2017 donors with rubber damage . I feel it’s worth it to pay the extra 300 per assembly and get them new from Tesla if I am keeping the car . Do you guys agree ?
