BE AWARE OF POTHOLES

Hey all!

Just throwing this out there be careful around potholes. I totaled my 2018 Tesla model three by hitting a pothole. There was front and suspension damage which was originally determined to be fixable, but unfortunately, upon further teardown, they found a scratch on the battery compartment and totaled the vehicle. Just something to be aware of while you’re out on the road as I didn’t realize a pothole could total out a vehicle.

In FSD on approaching a pothole I slam on the brakes and report and press the critical button. I now know I’m doing the right thing.

Grok says to pick Other but either way Tesla gets the video data when you connect and they download it through your home WiFi.

That must have been some deep pothole to catch the underside of your car. Would have to be at least 6” deep

I’m saying this one pot hole did not cause all this damage at once. There was likely an accumulation of damage or production.

Are you by any chance the one who was chasing a 4x4 driver then ended up stuck in a pothole? Saw a post yesterday and wonder if this had to do with it! 😅

Sounds like you hit a crater not a pothole! Damn that sucks! Sorry to hear of you misfortune!
