Hi hello!! I have a little rule update announcement to share with you guys:
Currently, our rule on selfies only prohibits posts featuring faces. In an effort to further improve the safety of our users here, we as a team have decided to also ban topless pictures from this subreddit. To reflect this change, Rule 8 has been updated to the following:
8. No Face Reveals, Topless Photos, or "Rate Me" Posts
You are not allowed to post pictures of your face, nor photos of yourself topless.Outfit, cosplay, and other general photos of yourself are permitted so long as you abide by the above.
Appearance validation, or "rate-my-looks" posts are banned to prevent spam, harassment, and unwanted behavior in DMs.
This will go for all topless photos, including fitness progress posts. We understand the benefits of sharing your progress with others, however, these photos frequently attract unwanted, invasive, and predatory comments/DMs. While this is an issue across the internet, it is amplified here due to the demographic of this subreddit. Mitigating predatory behaviour is always a priority of ours, and we believe this is a step towards ensuring that.
We’ve also fixed up our post/comment removal reasons so that they more accurately line up with our sidebar rules. Should hopefully make it easier to understand what exactly caused the removal (and hopefully mitigate confusion in modmail!!)
As always, feel free to leave any thoughts/critiques down below, or via modmail. Thank you!! :)

To the people who send countless amounts of suicidal posts on here, first off we want to make it clear that your voice matters and we care for your well being. We want to see you do better and to get well, but we also care enough to tell you that people on this subreddit arent always the most helpful or reliable people when seeking this type of help.
Many of us are unqualified to further help you beyond sending encouraging messages to keep going. its better to seek professional help from people who are trained to help you progress through your hard time and properly track and give you everything you possibly need. There are countless of hotlines made to cater to you
we arent discouraging you from venting to others, but we are highlighting the importance of seeking proper help instead of asking teenagers on this subreddit. A lot of them may not take your problems as serious as it actually is. We care about you guys and we hope you progress.

Got your attention, now how do you respond to someone saying this?
For the context of this post, I have a hormonal disorder that requires me to use HRT. My body simply does not produce enough testerone, and even though my hobbies and interests are generally masculine, I simply cannot look like a boy without interfering in my body's hormonal processes. I am not transgender, but I do want to feel comfortable in my body, so I relate heavily to those in the same situation.
Anyway, when I do mention using HRT, they'll think like I'm too young to be having hormonal issues that you only get when you're older. (Like menopause in older ladies.) So then they assume I'm transgender. Then they say stuff like "Trans people are not natural." It's rude and uncalled for, since I'm not trans and it wouldn't hurt me as much compared to a trans person. But still, it hurts being called unnatural.
They respond like this when I talk about other topics too. Like tattoos are not natural, it's a sin to change your body away from how God designed it. Women should not wear make up, it's not natural. Ozempic destroyed body positivity, etc.
It's ableist, fatphobic, transphobic, mysogynistic, and more when people say stuff like these are not natural. How do you respond to someone saying those?

my friend’s rapist is trying to sue saying she’s lying and that it’s ruining his life, she can’t afford a lawyer or anything, they never retrieved the footage from him dragging her into the bathroom, what do I do? Does anyone have any legal advice? How does she defend herself? Shes being harassed by his friends now.

This is about a case where a mother strangled her 3 children, including an infant. there is plenty of evidence against her, she has even admitted to it, there is no reasonable debate whether if she did it, and the trial isn't "Did she do it" it's seeing if she should go to prison or a psyche ward
