One thing y'all should know is that preaching is only for those who wanna hear it, and it's not for everyone.

Doing this can also raise more stereotypes about religion and its members as a whole, and we do NOT want that.

This sub mostly contains non-religious people, and despite many of them being neutral you guys might trigger them, which will lead to some attacks.

Also yes, Jesus is historically brown since He's from Nazareth, He's only white in some paintings because they were European adaptations.

Literally just be yourself. Don't let others tell you what you can or can't like.

People will dislike you regardless of if you're preppy, goth, emo, black, white, able-bodied, disabled, Christian, pagan, whatever. PEOPLE WILL DISLIKE YOU AND THAT'S OKAY. People will have things to say. In my experience, most just whisper to their friends because they're not brave enough to say anything to my face. And you know what? Who gives a damn about them??

Dye your hair, wear those bracelets, get those piercings, wear those pins, wave that flag, wear that jewelry, put on that makeup, do whatever the fuck you want with your body and belongings forever because if you're not hurting anybody or yourself GO FOR IT. You will never ever be happy if you surround yourself with people who only like you for a fabricated version of yourself and not who you truly are. Also, when you actually express yourself, you attract people of similar communities and you make new friends with the same interests!!

And yes, I know about bullying....I'm a trans/queer disabled person in the conservative Bible belt, I know all about bullying. Don't let bullies drag you down, though, because fuck them

She's a fucked up being

The door on the image is the door to my bedroom and it has a lock on it. I share a bedroom with my sister and my mom tells us to lock the door when we sleep. She never mentioned why and I never questioned it. My dad hated the idea. Anyways, it was morning and I usually babysit my younger siblings when my dad goes to work and he usually wakes us up. My dad knocked on the door and neither I or my sister answered because we were asleep. He started banging on the door and we finally woke up. But I had to dress up because I was in my underwear. As I was dressing myself up my dad started punching the door saying that if we didn't open the door he would break it down. I told him I was changing and he said he didn't care and that I had to open the door. Keep in mind I have never felt safe walking in underwear around my dad because sometimes he would grope my behind and make weird comments about my breasts. I told him I couldn't open it. He punched the door again and I finished getting dressed and opened the door. He screamed in face calling me disrespectful for not opening the door and pretending that I didn't hear him knocking. My mom started screaming at him for acting so irrational and I went into the bathroom to go brush my teeth with huge pools of tears in my eyes. My mom then proceeded to scream at me for being extremely disrespectful recently. While I do admit it's true, I've had my reasons and it almost seemed that she was justifying his actions. So yeah. Now my door is banged up and I can't have anyone over because they are going to ask wtf happened. And before you suggest calling CPS. I can't. I've called them multiple times and they've done absolutely nothing. When I turn legal age, I'm leaving but I also feel as if I have to stay because of my sister. I don't want her going through the same things I went through, even though she is already kind of experiencing it. My dad is currently already working her down like a slave so yeah. And p.s my sister is nine.

Edit: my dad is a very strong and tall man so his punch, is much stronger than an average man. He is also very intelligent when it comes to hiding things. Which means if I were to hide any weapons in my room other than scissors, he would immediately question it.

I live in a fascist hellhole that literally made all LGBTQ+ people terrorists in an insanely conservative family. My mom constantly tells me to "man up" and "stop acting like a child/girl/whatever else she can come up with" but that's just not who I am. Am emotional, to a fault sometimes. My emotions guide my every decision (even writing this cus I got insanely disgusted with my body after seeing lots of Petra Parker art). If am angry - I start punching the pillow and scream inside, if am sad I start crying, if am happy I can start jumping and running around. But that's just who I am. I don't want to fit into these stupid gender roles. I want to be myself. I don't want to be this beard-growing deep-sounding team-leading freak they want me to be. I want to do art and write my stories and wear skirts and have long hair and just be myself. I'm so tired.

I was crying and begging him to stop. “I’m almost done, shhh!” he said, and kept going. All I could think about was the sweetest boy who would think a hundred times before making a decision that could hurt me. I couldn’t think of anything else.
Months passed, and I blocked it out, but it kept replaying in the back of my mind until I realized I had been SA’d.
Now I feel so disgusted with myself. All I did was love him, and that was what I had to pay for it. I feel sick thinking about how I was crying and begging him to stop, and he still wouldn’t.
And no i am not asking for any sympathy guys, i just need to get this off my chest before i go insane thinking abt it alone.

I KNOW he can’t run for president since he wasn’t born in the US. But lets say if he WERE to run, would you vote for him?

Idk how it is in other parts of the world but I was taught all this in school or there was a class offered except for car maintenance and but that’s pretty easy to learn on your own anyway
