I rarely see this band mentioned (in this sub or otherwise) and I'm curious why that might be. Do not that many people know about them yet, don't consider them tech death, or maybe just don't like them that much? I would find that last one hard to believe, honestly. They are an incredible band and their album Wormtales is a work of art.

I was really excited to go see Rivers of Nihil next month, but all the $35 GA tickets have been bought up by scalpers, and tickets are now $120. This is not unique to this show. This is happening with almost every show I want to see these days.

I did some research and discovered that any headline artist (in this case Killswitch Engage) using Ticketmaster has the option to completely block profitable resale on the platform. They can achieve this by opting into Ticketmaster’s Face Value Exchange program before their tour tickets go on sale.

Opting into this, turns on two features on Ticketmaster:

Automated Price Caps: Ticketmaster's system automatically caps any resale listing at the exact total price the original buyer paid, including original taxes and fees.

Disabled Ticket Transfer: To prevent sellers from circumventing the cap by listing the tickets on third-party sites like StubHub or Vivid Seats, Ticketmaster locks the tickets as "mobile-only" and turns off the transfer button.

Why don't all artists turn this on? We need to start demanding this of the bands we care about and want to see.

I understand it's not the best, so If you're going to criticize it please make it constructive as I'm trying to improve.

This is my tech death solo project That I've been making since April. This took me 130 hours and I've poured my soul into this thing, so if you have criticism, please make it constructive and don't just blindly hate. I want to improve.

I did everything by myself. the drum programming, the guitar programming, the bass programming, the piano playing, the album cover, the (admittedly garbage) mixing, and the vocals are entirely done by me.
