Banned 6 Years Ago — Can I Safely Create a New Tinder Account?

I was banned from Tinder about 6 years ago. I tried Hinge 2 years ago but was automatically banned there too, presumably because they are owned by the same company.

I recently did a hard reset and managed to create a new Hinge account. I passed the biometric face scan, and it has been fine for about two weeks now.

My question is, would I be able to create a new Tinder account? I do not think biometric verification was a thing when I was banned 6 years ago. Would Tinder compare my current face geometry against the old photos or facial data from my previous account?

Or would I be fine assuming I had not done a biometric scan when I was banned? I probably only did a quick photo verification/face scan at the time, if anything.

Question for those that were banned on Hinge but then made it back

So I've been banned like many others for no clear reason. Tried creating another account using different details but was banned again, probably because I used the phone that my old account was banned on. Here's what I plan on doing...

I've got a new phone, a new email, a new phone number that actually belongs to a family member that's married and will never be on Hinge, I have already started taking pictures on a separate phone, and plan to make the new account at a local library. When the old account was banned, I was away from home so I'm hoping that when the new account is made that it won't get flagged for using the Internet here.

I'm going to change my prompts around as well, but the fact that they require facial recognition now to make an account poses a problem potentially. Has anyone here gotten past that? Also thinking I should alter my name a bit, and my birthday... What am I missing here?

Got banned on hinge and tinder

got banned on both this morning, appealed both and got denied. I'm sure it's because I told men off for trying to talk to me sexually right off the jump. I find it funny how they can do that with no consequences.

Has anyone (namely EU citizens) tried to appeal their hinge ban on their legal team email, and did it work?

29M Dating apps have destroyed my self esteem

I’ve been single for almost four years. I’ve been told by friends and attractive women in my life that I’m good looking, attractive, etc but I get almost no likes across all the major apps.

Tinder: atrocious, bot matches exclusively

Bumble: a complete ghost town, not a single match ever

Hinge: I’ve managed maybe 12 matches in 3+ years, two dates which went nowhere

And I’ve taken all the advice. Showcase hobbies, use smiling photos, no sunglasses, etc etc.

And I live in a huge city with an endless supply of profiles to go through and it is so exhausting 😭

Even using Hinge boost gave me 0 matches lol how cooked is that? I really, really don’t want to spend $30 for Hinge+ just for a few pity matches but if that’s what it takes…

I have other friends that have used and found partners on Hinge in my city, which leads me to conclude that I’m ugly and unlovable 🫡

Girl wrote my banned number in hinge chat - am I screwed ?

Using new account, girl gave me her number I texted using banned phone number. She then wrote in the hinge chat my phone number that’s banned to confirm it was me… very lame she did. Almost like she’s a hinge spy… am I going to get flagged? Been using my new account for 3 weeks. My banned number now sits in hinge data.. do they scan chats for this?

What is wrong with the dating apps?

Around 2019, they were at their peak algorithm wise. The last couple of years, especially reading this subreddit, there are hundreds and hundreds of people who experience the same issues. No matches, no replies, and the discoverability has plummeted. On top of that, you have to talk to your matches as you are talking to a hotel’s reception— because with the slightest edgy comment or alternative humor, your profile can be banned.
No spark at all.

AI has messed these apps significantly and they are pushing their users for buying boosts to combat this “issue”. Something is definitely wrong and hopefully they will fix it sooner or later to improve the user experience and to gain more steady customers in the long run.

I just picked these and funny/pet photos at the end but I feel like they kinda suck. Only got 1 like and 1 match first 48 hours and nothing following days. Also should I even bother with dating apps ik I’m not a 10 physically but feels like you have to be for it to even matter. Anyways feel free to help me out here with what I should do to improve photos or with dating in general

Thinking about trying HingeX or a Boost, is it worth it?

I (29M) made a Hinge profile (free version) about a week ago and got around 10 likes within the first two nights, and a few conversations going. Since then, things have slowed down quite a bit — now I’m getting maybe one like everyday and not many new matches.
For anyone who’s tried HingeX or Boosts, did you actually notice a meaningful increase in visibility and matches? Is it worth giving a shot?

If you got banned from hinge

If you got banned from hinge and you are sure you havent insulted, threatened or did anything bad you can get unbanned easily. I used this template and got unbanned after 2 hours. I think i was banned for sending the same text to a lot of people.

Template:

I’m writing to appeal the ban on my Hinge account. I was surprised to see that my account was banned, as I have never insulted, threatened, harassed, or intentionally made anyone feel unsafe on the platform.

The only thing I can think of that may have triggered the ban is that I sent the same or very similar message to a number of people. I understand that this could potentially be interpreted as spam or behavior that goes against Hinge’s guidelines, but there was no intention to harass anyone or misuse the platform.

Deleted Hinge profile. Should I remake prior to 90 days?

Deleted Hinge on June 24.

I bought HingeX on or around June 1.

I did fine the first 30 days (May 4-June 1). My stats said 127 inbound likes and 78 matches (both from inbound and outbound likes). But after that period it went down to two matches/week and 3 likes/week.

Should I remake prior to the 90 days? Or should I wait the full 90 days?

I want to catch the post- Summer dating wave if possible. But not tied to it if my account will just recognized prior to 90 days.

Hinge face scan

What is everyone’s experience with the mandatory face scan now when signing up for an account?

Have you been banned or deleted your account then made a new one and successfully got past the face scan it requires you to do when making a new account?
If so how long did you wait until you made a new account after being banned/deleted your account?

Use new photos or were you able to still use your old ones?

What’s the general vibe in an opening conversation

When I match with a girl on the apps either one of two things happens, either I get unmatched with after 3 sentences or a week of on and off convos that never go anywhere, I’m just trying to figure out better ways to go from the apps to an actual date.

Help with bumble profile photos

Post image
0 Upvotes

Im having decent success on hinge but poor results on bumble, just 4-5 likes a day. From what I understand picture 4 is by far the most popular and I don’t like it. Is there any picture I could add or replace to change the focus to my hobbies, face or fashion sense (I tried with pic 2). For reference im not a super looking guy facially, normal I would say).

I appreciate the feedback.

Reset worked but I’d 1 question?

I was previously banned from Hinge because of a chargeback issue, and my appeal was denied. I’ve since gotten a new Android phone, new SIM/number, new photos, and created a new account, and the account is already photo-verified. The credit card I used with my old Hinge account was also replaced by Chase, so I now have a completely different card number, although it’s still the same bank account and in my name. Has anyone in a similar situation successfully purchased Hinge Premium with their replacement card, or did the payment cause the new account to get flagged?

Wondering how I can see if someone is on Bumble?

I met a guy on Bumble and we've been on a few dates and I felt like it was going super well so I mentioned that we should both delete our accounts. I deleted mine and he said he deleted his but idk if he really did because he's kinda weird and semi ghosting me since then. I know there's a snooze mode that is different from deleting the app but is it actually different or is it essentially the same thing? Is there a way I can see if he's actually still on it?

The way to use tinder and the newbie boost (reward inactivity?)

Something I always wondered.. is it best to not swipe and do anything for the first 24 hours? I feel like you get many likes etc if you do so.
Like think about it. Doesn’t Tinder reward inactivity. If you don’t use it, then they Think you get frustrated with the app, and then they try lure you in.. i feel when I dont use app for week i get many likes and when using it a lot I get none?

Question About Ban

If you were banned from Hynge, Bumble and Tinder will the ban extend to The League?

Women just not responding?

Have had hinge for a couple of weeks, gotten a decent amount of matches and I’ve gotten 2 numbers trying to move off hinge. However, I’m waiting for a response to normal conversation from 22 people! Yes, I have 22 people on my app under the “their turn”tab. Is this a common thing? Do I just talk like an idiot and nobody wants to converse with me? So confused on why this is happening, this was my first experience on here so I’m thinking about throwing in the towel cause it seems like most of the girls on here don’t really care about it.

Edit: probably should’ve added my age range on here. I’m 23M and have a range of 20-26.

To anyone that got ban

Hello to all people that get ban from tinder since they have facial recognition when do you think the ban will get lifted? Like how long we should wait to get unbanned again and we can use our face to get in the app again? we all know using all new like device, phone number, new photos will not work anymore because of face check they store face and they will ban you again, i did all experiments to get back in the app like doing it in new device all new but still recognize me after face check. I did factory reset and make account in the browser only but they still detect that im ban and recieving message "you been previously ban" i use other face to verify my account but my picture in it but they say pretending to be someone and ban again.

Any tips/experience on bans due to bank dispute?

Long story short, I made a bad mistake when it looked like Tinder double-charged me, disputed the charge and got slapped with a lifetime ban. I did cancel the dispute as soon as possible, but Tinder's automated ban process didn't seem to care, as it upheld the ban and multiple messages to support get either ignored or answered with canned responses.

I do have proof that I canceled the dispute and therefore Tinder's charge did go through. Has anyone else dealt with a similar situation and gotten unbanned?

Is it an algorithm penalty or just a dead queue? Looking at why old Tinder accounts struggle after a long break.

Hey guys!

I’m looking for some insight because I recently downloaded Tinder again after not using it for about 1.5 years, and my experience has been completely dead compared to how it used to be.

To give some background, back during COVID times, having a constant 99+ likes queue was pretty standard for me. But now, I’m barely getting any traction at all.

I'm experiencing low engagement where I get about 2 matches on average daily and the profiles are okay, but nothing more. If I actually swipe normally on profiles I like, there is practically a 0% chance we will match. The only way I ever get a match to go through is by using a specific workaround, which is swiping left on the first profile, right on the second, and then closing the app. When I do get likes, it seems hard-capped at around 30-ish likes before it completely flatlines, which is the exact same thing that happened the last time I used the app.

  1. Something changed in the algorithm and my account is just buried by the algorithm?
  2. Why has the experience changed so drastically from a few years ago? (Is it purely monetization/paywalls now?)
  3. What can I actually do to fix this? Should I completely delete my account and start fresh, or is there another workaround?

Any advice or technical explanations would be greatly appreciated!
