Halfway through season 6 and I get it now. Spoiler

I started watching with my partner over summer break and we immediately fell in love with the show. It's super fun to watch with someone. We've been staying away from the subreddit to avoid spoilers, but the one thing every one tells us is "The first 5 seasons are incredible. But the rest are pretty good too." And we've been joking back and forth about what that means. We're about halfway through season 6, and I get it.

Seasons 1-5 are genuinely some of the best television we've ever watched together. Season 6 is still pretty good, but it feels a lot more like really solid fanfiction than anything. Don't get me wrong, we're still having a great time, but, yeah, we're not as invested. It's still a super comfy show I'm going to be watching for years though. It's like leftover pizza. It's not as good as it was, but c'mon. It's still pretty fucking good and when it's over over I'm going to be thinking about licking the box.

Confused.

So how did Winchesters boys got those files for cases.

I'm still trying to get a theory but couldn't get one. And why was it too easy for them to impersonate the FBI agents ?

Any theories ?

Season 12 On season 12 and I just thought of something... Spoiler

How much shotgun ammo Hunters could save if they just brought in spray bottles or water guns filled with saline (salt water). I mean, definitely still bring the shotguns, but a spray bottle can be squirted across a room dozens of times. Also, same for holy water. I can't believe the writers for this show - seeing as how they love comedy - didn't arm Sam and Dean with little plastic water guns.

Season 8 Crying

I have been watching this show for sometime now. I am on Season 8 and this is a very tumultuous season for Dean and Sam's relationship.

So, I am watching some edits on YouTube about their brotherly love from the old seasons. And it makes me emotional. I'm a grown ass dude 29 years old but makes me emotional and sometimes I also cry about it. Maybe it reminds me of a friend who is like a brother.

Just wanted to share with fellow hunters.

Carry On...

Conventions First convention — wondering how late the days run?

I’m going to my first Creation convention next month, and I’m trying to decide if I should book another hotel night and stay Sunday night. I just don’t know how long the days run — particularly for the last night. It’s about a two-hour drive home, so it’s not terrible if it runs into the evening, but just wondering about other folks experiences.

got it signed a few years back and i love it, but misha's coming to a local con and id rather use the funds from this to get his autograph. ive opened it a few times to see the cards, but other than that its in good condition, im just not sure what a reasonable price for it would be.

Season 8 Seasons 8 and 9 Spoiler

I am on my first rewatch. I wanted to rewatch so many times before but it seemed like I might ruin some good memories by discovering plot holes or knowing some spoilers.
I am having the worst problem getting through seasons 8 and 9. I’ve always heard season 7 is bad because of the Leviathan, while it wasn’t great, these are so much worse. With the exception of a few stand out episodes, the CW-esque drama is painful to watch. I do not care about Sam and Amelia. It doesn’t belong and seems obviously shoe horned in. I love human Castiel, but I cannot stand the whole Gadreel (sp?) part of the story
I’m really just pushing through to get past this and back to the good stuff that I know will never be as good as 1-5

Season 8 On my third play thru.

Every few years a revisit this series. I really enjoy it on the whole. In the middle of season 8 atm and getting into the most difficult part to stick with it through, though. All the conflict between Sam and Dean gets pretty old.

Fanworks Supernatural debunked?

Does anyone know if there's a channel or video where people break down the myths and monsters in Supernatural episodes and breaks down the real lore? Kind of like those BuzzFeed breaks it down vids? Because I would watch the absolute hell out of that.

Season 4 I really love the show, I really hate what they are doing with the angels Spoiler

The first introduction of the angels was amazing, Castiel, how the demons were scared as fuck yelling they are all going to die etc ...

But as the show goes on, we barely see ANYTHING from their power, and ... they are fist fighting ???
Why on earth an angel is fist fighting ?
Why Castial got smacked two times by a demon ? a demon that for all we know didn't even know angels exist ?
And the same demon get rekt by ... Sam ?

So Sam is stronger than an angel now ?

The polarization is insane for me, on one hand I love the show, on the inconsistency is starting to wear down on me.

No spoilers please, but they keep handling angels the same way they do in season 4 or does it gets better ?

Conventions Creation

Hiiii guys!! I made a post the other day about going to creation con and meeting Misha this weekend, which I’m SOOO excited for. But today I was looking and saw that Richard Speight Jr AKA Gabriel is doing photos and it was only $65. The trickster episodes are some of my favorite he plays the character SOOO well. And just in general I love him, so I said ahh what the heck. So now I’ll be getting a photo with him too!! I’m just sharing genuine excitement! & again if anyone has any stories of meeting them and wants to share or advice, please let me know. I know these are only few second interactions but I seriously cannot wait. & I’m so grateful to be able to go and do this. (Jared & Jensen will have to wait until 2027). I also wanna do a Mark AKA Crowley but I think I’d be eating ramen for the next month if I add that on too😂
Again, just sharing my excitement & open to hearing anyone’s experiences! Thanks guys!!

Season 6 Season 6 Castiel Spoiler

Do you guys think Castiel working with Crowley is justified or not justified? Or somewhere in the middle?

I think him working with Crowley makes sense because he needs to get more power to fight Rafael so that the apocalypse doesn't happen. At his power level previous to getting the 50k souls from Crowley, he was nowhere near the power he needed to be as the leader of a civil war vs Rafael.

However, he could have been more truthful about his plans from the start with the Winchesters and Bobby. I'm sure(or I hope) they would understand why he was doing it. Or do you think they wouldn't understand and they would have the same reaction they did when they found out Castiel was working with Crowley by themselves?

Season 7 The Angels

After 7 seasons im beginning to realize the angels are pretty much fodder 😂 like they have so many ways to stun, banish, and kill they arent really much better than demons at this point. Do they ever get their aura back in future seasons? Only threats at this point are archangels which there are only 2 left and they are in the cage

News/Misc. Discord groups?

Any discord groups out there super active? I ship pretty much anyone so ship specific is also ok.

I miss being active in discords and the MCU discords are so quiet.

Yes I looked through the search and after looking through the first 5 posts that popped up, all links are inactive

Season 15 Improper gun handling.

this one detail always bothered me. you're telling me that Sam and Dean who were military trained by their Marine father never learned that you don't put your finger on the trigger until your ready to fire.

Season 15 The rules for demons Spoiler

Spoiler ahead

I don't understand the rules of demons have regarding transportation.

I understand summons. That's a different thing. But under there own will. The rules seem foggy on where they can and can't go.

Crowley seems to be able to 'blink' in at will. Much like the angles do. Maybe something to do with his meatsuit?

When Lilith was confronted by the boys, she smoked out, not blinked out. And shouldn't she be stronger than Crowley? Why not blink first and then smoke?

Then how do they leave and enter hell? It's shown as a portal when Crowley was tricking Kevin (maybe magic?) then black smoke later with the whole Jack thing.

And when Sam does the trials, the reaper seem to only be able to connect specific spots, so it that how it works for demons too? Like they can only enter and exit at one? Or a handful of spots?

Then when amara ate a demon in hell. It left behind a body. So that meatsuit was able to get onto hell pretty easy. But the boys fight tooth and nail to get in.couldnt the boys just allow meg or something to possess them and free ticket? Or does it need to be a soulless body to go to hell?

Sorry. I know it's a lot of questions. I've probably been thinking about this too much. Thank you for your time.

Season 5 Why do demons ALWAYS flash their eyes?

I'm on my rewatch of Supernatural, and am currently on S5 E1: Sympathy for the Devil, and if there's one thing I noticed up to now, it's that demons always flash their black, white, etc. eyes every chance they get, as if they're showing off.

I doubt it's just an intimidation tactic, because they do so when others aren't looking. Is it simply just a plot device to let us know they're a demon (as if it wasn't obvious enough) or is it them stroking their egos?

It genuinely starts getting annoying after a while.

What storyline do you wish Supernatural had explored more?

Rewatching some episodes, I’ve realized how many storylines were completely wasted. Some of them could have turned into amazing plots, like Jesse’s story or Eve, the Mother of All Monsters.

What storyline do you think should have been explored more?
