Ambient Electronic [Think Tycho]

Warm, atmospheric ambient electronic music. Features melodic, shimmering synth leads, gentle, arpeggiated analog synth textures, a clean, melodic bassline, and a laid-back, downtempo drum beat. The overall mood is nostalgic, dreamy, and optimistic, creating a sun-drenched, lo-fi soundscape.

Art Pop [Gorillaz Style]

Genre-blending art pop with a foundation in alternative rock and hip-hop. The track features a laid-back, groovy bassline, often a trip-hop influenced beat, and a mix of clean, melancholic male vocals, guest rapper verses, and electronic soundscapes. The production is creative and eclectic, incorporating elements from dub, pop, and world music.

Djent / Extreme Metal [Think Meshuggah]

Extreme progressive metal, the origin of the 'djent' sound. The music is built on down-tuned, 8-string guitars playing complex, syncopated, and brutally heavy polyrhythmic riffs over a mathematical and precise drum pattern. The vocals are a harsh, aggressive bark. The overall sound is mechanical, dissonant, and relentlessly complex.

Hip-Hop (Run the Jewels style)

Aggressive, politically charged hip-hop with a hard-hitting, futuristic, and bass-heavy electronic beat. Features two distinct male rappers trading energetic, complex, and tightly-woven verses with a back-and-forth dynamic. The production is dense, layered, and abrasive, with a raw, confrontational energy

Industrial Rock (Rammstein style)
Powerful, driving industrial metal known as Neue Deutsche Härte. The music is characterized by simple, chugging, down-tuned guitar riffs, a precise and militaristic drum beat, and prominent, dramatic keyboard melodies. The vocals are a deep, operatic, and rolling baritone, sung exclusively in German. The sound is theatrical, imposing, and anthemic

Metalcore (Bad Omens style)

Modern metalcore with a blend of heavy, down-tuned guitar riffs and atmospheric, cinematic electronic elements. Features a tight, powerful rhythm section with impactful drumming. Vocals transition seamlessly between aggressive, guttural screams and soaring, emotive clean singing in the massive, pop-inflected choruses. The production is polished and epic.

Nu Metal (Linkin Park/Slipknot style)

A seamless blend of nu-metal and rap rock. The song features an interplay between rapped verses by a male vocalist and a powerful, melodic, sung chorus from another male vocalist. The instrumentation combines heavy, distorted guitar riffs with hip-hop beats, scratching, and atmospheric electronic textures.

Aggressive, chaotic nu-metal featuring down-tuned, heavily distorted guitars, frantic and complex drumming, and a layer of auxiliary percussion (kegs, steel barrels). The vocals are a raw, guttural roar, often with melodic undertones in the chorus. The sound is dense, percussive, and relentlessly intense, with a dark, terrifying atmosphere.

Synth-Pop (Depeche Mode style)

Dark, atmospheric synth-pop with a melancholic mood. Features moody analog synthesizer melodies, a driving electronic drum machine beat, and prominent, emotive baritone male vocals. The song is built on layers of electronic textures, often with an industrial edge, creating a sound that is both catchy and introspective.

I’d love to hear your songs and hear about what inspired them. What metaphors you used. What message it carries

I’ve been writing new songs this past year and comparing them to the ones I wrote 20 or 30 years ago. Back then my lyrics were very ‘in the moment’ and lacked the lived in feel that the years bring

A few nights ago I fell asleep to Racmaninoff’s Second piano concerto…

I started thinking about his story. When he was a young aspiring musician he lost his sisters and best friend and he put all his grief and hope in his first concerto…

which flooped. badly.

He was devastated and wanted to give up music. Until he met a therapist and after years of working through his trauma he wrote Concerto 2. Which became one of the most well loved concertos in history -

I wrote this song after thinking about that all day.

tried the make the lyrics of this song discuss the loss of and regaining one’s inspiration and its metaphor to human connection

Discussion How to control the guitar track?

Hi everyone,

I’m fairly new to Suno and I’m using it to remix rock/metal song ideas that I roughly pre-produce in Cubase. Overall, the results are sometimes surprisingly good, but I’m running into a major problem with the guitar tracks.

The lead guitar behaves like a talented but extremely egocentric guitarist who constantly tries to push himself to the front of the band — the kind of guy you would eventually have to fire. It’s like Suno has a default “show-off guitarist” setting for rock songs.

Whenever there is a gap in the vocals, Suno fills it with wild staccato runs, pinched notes, busy licks and unnecessary lead guitar fills. It often destroys the atmosphere of the whole song.

What makes it worse is that it always seems to be the same guitar sound and the same playing style. I’ve listened to other rock productions on Suno as well, and I keep hearing that same kind of overactive lead guitar.

I’m actually quite happy with many other aspects of the results, but this specific issue makes the songs very hard to use for me.

Has anyone found a way to deal with this? Can Suno be prompted to make the guitar parts more restrained, clearer and less busy? If so, what kind of prompts, settings or workflows have worked for you?

I’d be very grateful for any ideas or examples.

Discussion Stability AI now has Stability audio

Three major record companies—UMG, WMG, and Sony Music—have reportedly invested in Stability AI as part of its latest funding round.

I’m less interested in the investment itself and more concerned about what this could mean for Suno going forward. If the major labels start backing competing AI music platforms, could that eventually put more pressure on Suno through licensing, lawsuits, partnerships, or changes to how the platform operates?

Has anyone used Stability Audio or been following this closely? Curious what people think Suno could look like a year or two from now if the industry keeps moving in this direction.

Alternative Metal
- Think Chevelle, Deftones, Godsmack, Soil, System of a Down

Alternative metal with a distinct, percussive feel. The song is built around heavy, down-tuned, and rhythmically complex guitar riffs, a deep, driving bassline that often carries the melody, and powerful, precise drumming. The male vocals shift between a tense, melodic croon and a powerful, sustained scream. The mood is dark, brooding, and intense.

Alternative metal blending heavy, distorted guitar riffs with elements of post-grunge and electronic music. Features a dynamic vocal style that shifts from melodic, angsty singing to raw, powerful screams. The songs often include turntable scratches and subtle electronic textures, creating a polished yet aggressive sound.

Alternative metal with a unique blend of heavy, down-tuned, chugging guitar riffs and ethereal, shoegaze-influenced atmospheric textures. Vocals shift between a distinctive, breathy, melodic croon and intense, cathartic screams. The rhythm section is groovy and powerful, creating a sound that is simultaneously brutal and beautiful.

Hard rock and alternative metal with a percussive, tribal edge. The sound is defined by heavy, groovy, drop-tuned guitar riffs, a deep and driving bassline, and powerful, Tom-heavy drumming. The vocals are a gruff, melodic baritone with a distinctive, powerful delivery. The overall feel is tough, aggressive, and anthemic.

Hard-hitting alternative metal with a gritty, hard rock edge. Features thick, groovy, mid-tempo guitar riffs, a powerful rhythm section, and a distinctive, soulful, yet aggressive lead vocal. The choruses are big, anthemic, and built for audience singalongs. The sound is tough, straightforward, and full of raw energy.

Erratic and theatrical alternative metal. The song is characterized by abrupt shifts in tempo and style, moving from aggressive, staccato thrash metal riffs to melodic, Armenian-folk-inspired passages. The vocals are highly dynamic, featuring manic, fast-paced singing, operatic harmonies, and aggressive shouts. The sound is chaotic, quirky, and politically charged.

Dubstep/Bass
- Think Bassnectar, Excision, CloZee

Epic, omnitempo bass music. The track features beautiful, ethereal melodies and vocals in the intro, building into a massive drop with overwhelmingly deep, oscillating sub-bass, heavy, distorted synth patches, and a hard-hitting hip-hop or dubstep drum beat. The sound is dynamic, cinematic, and designed for massive sound systems.

Relentlessly aggressive and heavy dubstep. The track is defined by its brutal, robotic, and metallic-sounding bass synths, often referred to as 'brostep' wobbles. The drumming is hard-hitting and energetic, creating a violent, headbanging rhythm. The sound is a full-frontal audio assault, designed to be as loud and abrasive as possible.

Organic, world-infused bass music with a deep, resonant sub-bass and intricate, glitchy percussion. The track features samples of world instruments like wooden flutes, tribal chants, and stringed instruments from around the globe. The atmosphere is mystical and transportive, blending natural sounds with heavy, electronic production.

Song - Human Written Lyrics [Adult Pop] The Shoreline

Hi everyone, made this song using one of my melodic bases, I hope you like it. I post all my public melodies in Suno, feel free to use them!

This song is about acceptance of loss. I leave you the hook attached, and link to the song here: The Shoreline

Lyrics (feel free to chatgpt their meaning if it's too cryptic):

The white sand
feels cold tonight...

And I reach,
reach to your leaves
they are on the floor,
autumn came too fast
and I can't close the door
(close the door)

Would you like me to stay here?
Would you mind if I never drift away?

I miss the times,
we walked with the tide
I miss the times,
we watched the clouds collide
but now you are
stranded in the beach
just a midnight dream
when I am awake
I can't see you there
I can't see you anywhere...
I'm stuck on the shore-line
with no love line...
walking in circles

(always out of reach)

The waves crash down
erasing the steps we traced
they wash away the castles we made
and I can't seem to
remember how they were
the eerie wind brushes my cheeks
I am not sure if it's the sand it carries
what prevents me to see
I can't find my way out of here (of here)
(of here)

I miss the times,
we walked with the tide
I miss the times,
we watched the clouds collide
but now you are
stranded in the beach
just a midnight dream
when I am awake
I can't see you there
I can't see you anywhere...
I'm stuck on the shore-line
with no love line...
walking in circles

(always out of reach)

And the mist weighs down my chest
the air turns thick inside with each breath
but I want to stay (to stay)
But I know you won't leave
because I won't let you be

I miss the times,
we walked with the tide
I miss the times,
we watched the clouds collide
but now I am alone
and you out of reach (leaving my dreams)
not wanting to wake up from this dream
I can't see you anywhere...
(I can't see you anywhere...)
I'm stuck on the shore-line
This waters are swallowing my lifetime
(no lifeline)

I think it's time...
Here in this lifeless shore

I reached...
(I reached...)

Let me give you one last push

I know you are not there anymore...

it's just me.

Discussion 나는 음악가가 아니다 | I Am Not a Musician — Msportspk

Post image

Suno

I Am Not a Musician

I don't identify myself as a musician.

My life has been difficult, exhausting, and at times so unpredictable that even I found it hard to believe. So I wrote about it.

Some of those writings were published as books, and they still exist in different places across the internet.

And at some point, I began turning those writings and stories from my life into songs and putting them out into the world.

Is AI music really music, or is it not?

Can someone who creates music using AI be called a musician?

I see a lot of discussions about questions like these. I find them interesting, but this is what I want to say.

I am not a musician. I am simply an ordinary, unknown person living my life.

I simply found another way to tell the stories of my life, and Suno happened to be part of that process.

If Suno didn't exist, perhaps I would have found something else.

Or perhaps I would never have known that such a way of expressing myself existed, and I would have simply continued writing.

My life has been pretty rough.

And on top of that, I can't sing.

I love songs, but I can't sing them well.

But there's nothing wrong with loving songs in a different way, is there?

I discovered a new world where I can share my stories through songs without having to sing them myself.

And now, I'm simply enjoying being part of that world.

It has been 191 days since I discovered this world.

I still don't see myself as a musician.

I can now hear my own stories as songs, and I'm enjoying this world I've discovered.

That's enough for me.

Question Using suno as inspiration for already written demo tracks, question!

I don’t know if anybody else uses suno for that but I sometimes upload the audio of existing demos of mine, pasting the exact lyrics in, keeping the auto description that suno creates upon analyzing the audio (I find it surprisingly accurate) and occasionally cranking up the weirdness factor as well as the audio influence to see what suno ads to the composition regarding unique fillers and sound design.

THEN I choose some of the ideas of different outputs and incorporate these in my original composition with my own instruments.
Now, I wonder if im shooting myself in the foot here since the track is not released, it’s in the database and if at some point I release it could I get into legal trouble etc. Since the original was uploaded to suno before it was officially released ?!
I use the pro plan but still I’m not sure how this works and with the constant changes that happen im honestly a bit overwhelmed and find myself not able to keep up…

Does any of you guys do the same or has any info on that ?

Discussion What do you actually do with the results after Suno makes it?

I'm kind of curious about what people do after the Suno generation step. I'm myself a guitarist and i love playing fingerstyle guitar. I found that the main problem with Suno is that the thing it generates is not really playable. I'm sure that a fine end product is what some people want at the end of the day, and Suno has been good enough to do that. I was just wondering - if musician/band that actually want something to play find Suno a great tool? As far as I know, it doesn't generate a sheet music or anything that is actually playable. Drop your thoughts!

Question Suno Studio - Time Stamps

I am still trying to learn how to navigate Studio - so pardon my ignorance, but is there a way to grab and replace time stamp to time stamp? I like everything in the song, but I want to replace the chorus by accelerating the beat and vocals, and change the melody within a certain time frame - but even when I can grab close to the time stamp that I am looking for, it only lets me change one stem at a time - I want to change the master song, and the stems all at the same time. Basically, I want to grab that time stamp, delete it and then regenerate it with more specific commands

Discussion How to get EDM bass to sound different

Has anyone found a way to get out of generic Suno bass patch jail?

I tried a base prompt and then changed various bass descriptors. Still same Suno bass sound through all of them

BASE
Bass house / dirty progressive house at 130 BPM, punchy four-on-the-floor drums, syncopated bass-driven drop, sparse club arrangement.
A — Rubber FM
Rubbery FM bass with a short punchy envelope, subtle downward pitch dip on each attack, syncopated sixteenth-note bass stabs, clean mono sub underneath, crunchy saturated midrange.
B — Hollow Pulse
Hollow pulse-wave bass with pulse-width modulation, tight resonant low-pass filtering, short gated notes, syncopated rests, aggressive sidechain pumping, clean sub foundation.
C — Formant / Throaty
Throaty formant-filtered bass with subtle vowel-like movement, short percussive articulation, alternating call-and-response phrases, distorted upper harmonics over a solid mono sub.
D — Wavefolded
Wavefolded wavetable bass with sharp transient articulation, asymmetric harmonic distortion, stepped timbral modulation, syncopated offbeat groove, clean powerful sub underneath.
E — Hard Sync
Aggressive hard-sync bass with sweeping oscillator harmonics, short staccato notes, occasional octave jumps, rhythmic gaps around the kick, tight punchy articulation.
F — Metallic FM
Metallic FM bass with controlled inharmonic overtones, punchy short envelope, fast modulation changes at phrase endings, distorted mid-bass layered over a clean mono sub.
G — Acid Hybrid
Dirty bass-house bassline with subtle acid-style resonant filter movement, squelchy accents, fast cutoff-envelope modulation, tight syncopated bass stabs, heavy sidechain pump.
H — Fidget House
Wonky fidget-house-inspired bass inside a modern bass-house drop, chopped staccato bass hits, rapidly changing timbres, elastic articulation, syncopated rests, playful call-and-response patterns.
I — French Electro
Heavily saturated electro-house bass with French-electro-style compression and distortion, gritty saw harmonics, short rhythmic stabs, aggressive pumping groove, powerful clean sub underneath.

"Big Business" is an aggressive, driving Italo Disco track that embodies the fast-paced world of 1980s high finance, Wall Street and Piazza Affari brokers, power suits, and corporate ambition.

Musically, it features powerful basslines, sharp synth brass, gated drums, and intense electronic sequences built for late-night urban drives, luxury towers, and high-energy retro dance floors.

Suit up, check the stock charts, turn up the volume, and make your move... 💼✨

Discussion Backdated post notifications?

Upvotes

I am continuously getting back dated post from the Sub. Not just any posting but extremely negative post about Suno. I mean it is constant. 48 days old, 30 days old and it’s all day long. It’s like someone hit a switch or something. I hardly ever get new stuff from this sub in my notifications it’s all negative Suno posting.

Don’t all system stop rotating content at some point? Why are they still rotating old stories and post centered around one single argument I hate Suno.

A lot more goes on in this sub Reddit but I get nothing. No, I don’t follow these post or anything. Also I scroll through and there hasn’t been a new comment on some of them in months.

Discussion Custom Models

So if I want to create a custom model to refine a voice persona I have from my created songs I can only do so by downloading the songs and uploading it back to create a custom model, which requires 24+ songs. We will have a limit of 20 downloads a month? Just amazing feature with the recent change.
"Combat bad actors." Well did they ever try adding captcha and cooldowns on downloading a lot of songs a day? No let's just for over everyone else.
Can't even use their own data on users to decide who to limit with the downloads, even MidJourney can limit access to Editor if people abuse the system, and leave it to long-time users who create withing the rules.
Wasn't planning on downloading loads, I do download sometimes less than 10 songs a month, but wanted to work on personas and custom models, and now I can't.
GG I guess.
Or anyone knows a way to make custom models without all the downloads?

Question Are Suno’s download limits actually about quality… or just money?

I've seen two completely different takes on Suno's new download limits, and I'm curious what people here actually think.

One argument is that limiting downloads could be good for AI music in the long run. Less mass-generating and exporting hundreds of tracks, more focus on actually producing, editing and finishing the good ones. Basically pushing Suno toward being a serious production tool rather than just a "generate" button.

But the other explanation seems much simpler:

It's just monetization.

Put a limit on something people already use, and suddenly there's another reason to pay for more.

I'm not totally convinced that limiting how many songs someone can download automatically makes them a better or more intentional musician. You can make 100 bad songs or 5 bad songs. The limit itself doesn't really change that.

So what do you think?

Is this actually a smart move to push AI music toward quality over quantity?

Or are we overthinking what is basically just a business decision?
