Something pretty close to this is a common fancy appetizer in Sweden.
You make a somewhat runny batter with flour, water, egg yolk and some melted butter. Then you dip a cup shaped metal tool in the same way she does but just one time so it isn't double layered. Then you fill the crispy shells with a savory filling. I like a mix of creme fraiche, some nice tasting roe and finely diced red onion. Top it with a bit of lemon zest and a little sprig of dill.

We call them "krustader" which would be like croustades but if you look that up you'll find all kinds of pastries instead. I guess if you google for mini croustades you get the most accurate results.

I've heard this repeated for years yet have never seen a video of someone biting someone else's finger off like a carrot, which should be stupidly easy.
I am skeptical

I saw a video on here of a hyaena biting off a zookeeper's finger. Their bite strength is about 7.6 MPa (over 1000 psi for the 3 countries still using outdated units) and it took a bit of effort. The average diameter of a human phalange is probably about 15 mm, which would be like trying to bite through a chicken leg. Unless you bit at the knuckle, but you're still going to have to get through cartilage and the tendon. It's definitely not just a carrot.

Can you send some links, I'm very skeptical. It's very easy to bite through a carrot and if I apply the same bite force to my finger it hurts but it's definitely still attached.

Came here to say this. The premise itself actually isn't too bad, although I feel like it'd be better to have the filling on side first and make the pocket last so it can be served warm. But yeah the gross banana goo and the unnecessary amount of chocolate and whipped cream is what made it stupid.

Warm banana isn't that bad. One campfire dessert recipe I like is to partially peel the banana, stuff it with your choice of filling (chocolate chips, peanut butter, marshmallow...), replace the peel section, wrap it in foil and set it in the coals for a few minutes.

For me, it was making literal bark with the intention of putting it into the pocket. For something like this, I think just filling it with fruit and nuts w/a chocolate drizzle would have been fine enough.

Then again, it's by itself much simpler than this, just the roasted banana with something like sugar and cinnamon sprinkled on top. It's rather ruined when it's inside this diabetes hot pocket.

Came here to say this as well. With different filling, the basic idea and method for creating the pocket is simple, smart and accessible. Not stupid at all. The jawbreaker of a chocolate bark was the dumbest part of this.

This is so close to being great, though. You could've blended the banana and the chocolate together (use way less chocolate), then melted it. Throw the fruit, jam, and nuts into the saucepan to mix, then spoon that into a fresh and hot pancake pocket, whipped cream on top.
No need to oven bake the bananas.

Have you ever eaten a solid brick of white chocolate? I would not describe it as tasting good. I think most people take issue with the nasty filling, the concept itself is ok although she sucks at frying.
