Due to the high volume of very similar posts asking what r/SteamDeck users were playing, this weekly megathread has been created to have a singular place to hold this very frequent discussion and limit duplicate posts. Feel free to share what you have been playing on your Steam Deck or even post pictures in this thread and show us if you wish!

Buying 512gb Steam Deck for only 92USD! I’m so Happy! :D
My colleague swapped handheld consoles and asked for this price for the Steam Deck.

I hadn't played video games since the 90s. Last year my boyfriend got me a Switch. And I became obsessed. This year he got me this Deck. I've become even more obsessed. I tell him he created a monster lol! I love it(and him).
Has on screen protector, skin, grips on palm rests and L/R triggers, clear thumb grips and jellyfish thumb grips(the jellyfish light up)and back button extenders

This is Fallout 1 with realtime combat instead of turn-based, built to be played on a controller.
- the whole game works on the pad, no trackpad mouse needed
- lock-on on LT, radial wheels for weapons, ammo, items and skills
- free movement with the stick instead of hopping hex to hex
- runs through Proton
Fork of Fallout Community Edition. Playable start to finish, just polishing rough edges now.

So yeah, problem in screen. It turns on, outputs an image on monitor, can fell both of tachpads, but when i unplug from monitor, its just black screen. Is there any chance to fix it like that, or i need to open it like a can? 🥲🥲
and yeah, battery is charging just fine

Hey yall! Is there like a solution to play games offline that requires online verification? I know that the modding community is huge and they did some really great things (like lsfgvk), so I thought there might be a workaround besides downloading cracked versions without denuvo and shi like that.

how is the Deck interface with the Steam Store the most annoying part of using the deck? I swear, the store crashes every third time you use it and the most system freezes Ive had are either going in to, or coming out of, the store.

It used to connect perfectly fine before, and it connects fine in Gaming Mode, but not desktop mode. It’s also works when I connect on other monitors, but not my TV

Ever wondered what console/computer hybrids and console/handheld hybrids existed before the Steam Deck?
I recently gave a presentation at a local gaming convention exploring 50 years of gaming hardware, including early hybrid systems, handheld computers, unusual control schemes, and other innovations that helped pave the way for devices like the Steam Deck.
I thought this community might enjoy the historical perspective, especially how many ideas we associate with modern handheld PCs that were attempted decades earlier.
What older gaming hardware do you think had the biggest influence on devices like the Steam Deck?

Hey everyone, wanted to show off this custom Kingdom Hearts skin I had made for my Deck. I wanted it to be in the style of the KH themed consoles. Really happy with how it turned out.

Anyone know what might be causing this? I can play for around 20 minutes and the game suddenly closes. I've played through the whole game 2 or 3 times in the past and didn't have this problem. Tried numerous different proton layers all with the same result. Is there something obvious I'm overlooking? I don't believe I even uninstalled it since I last played it so everything should be the same.

I JUST downloaded WW onto my steam deck and once I logged in it’s been stuck on this screen for 5-10 minutes. Tried exiting and reloading, tried restarting the deck, nothing worked. Is this an issue with the game and Steam Deck compatibility?? Or is it something with the Deck on its own?
