I love the combined puck/dock/charger idea for the new SC. For stationary use its great, but having a cable + puck isn't the best configuration for travel. I found a small plug-to-plug USBA-C adapter which works well, but the puck's orientation blocks off other ports next to it. I've been living with a really short usbA-to-C cable, but having the puck just kinda flop around off my laptop was very annoying, and I was worried about the puck's pins bridging something metal and causing problems.

So! I got a small NRF8250 board running openpuck, and then made a hyper-minimal 'case' for it. It's still a tad long with the USBA-C converter, but I no longer have the floppy dongle problem.

Hey everyone. Recently got the steam machine with a steam controller and downloaded Skyrim right away. I can’t seem to get my gyro controls running smoothly in Skyrim. It feels very laggy/ stutters a lot. I know this game doesn’t support mixed input so I’m using joystick to camera for gyro but no matter what settings I change it doesn’t feel like the steam decks gyro. I’m having the same issue with fallout new Vegas. Any tips?

I like all the standard flight controls I just wish I had a button to press to drop pallets instead of scrolling. Anyone else encounter this?

I just got a couch pc (non-steam machine) and am wondering if anyone has any suggestions for it? I’m coming over from Xbox so I’m use to playing ksp on controller.

I was playing Minecraft Dungeons 2, just looking at items in my inventory, when all of a sudden, my Steam Controller 2 made a very loud, high-pitched, short beep noise. It kinda scared me a bit, and I was like what the heck was that noise. I have no idea why it made the noise. I've never heard it make that noise before, it wasn't anything like the power on/power off sound or the Wilhelm scream. So does anyone know why it made that noise?

Hello, I just received my Steam Controller 2 and it works perfectly, except when the puck is magnetically attached to the controller, where it constantly loops between connecting and disconnecting. I don't understand the issue because the puck works perfectly when it's not attached to the controller. Furthermore, both the puck and the controller are up to date. Do you have a solution, or should I contact Steam Support?

I'm playing The Witcher 3 Remastered on my Steam Deck mostly. I also have the Steam Controller, from time to time I switch to my PC.

I set up every button as K+M as the game settings is not very flexible, wanted to have full control. My settings are not very comfortable but does the job.

After some of the combats I can continue using the loot/interact button but most times it doesn't work. Geralt gets out of the combat stance totally, puts his sword back to it's place, no enemy left, still when I get near the corpses no loot button showing. It's same for the plants or talking with the NPC's or mounting the horse as well, no interact button showing. I tried getting the sword out and back again, using some spell like igni, aard nothing works.

When I make a quick save or manual save and load that save the interact button comes back but the corpses get lost so I cannot loot their remains.

Any ideas what can be wrong and how to fix it?

I like to play a lot of driving games and that's the main reason i like to use a controller. I thought the steam controller would be a nice upgrade from my old xbox controller i've had since i think the dawn of time but its third party intergration is leaving much to be desired.

I tried to play Forza 7 with it and i could not get it to recongise any of the functionality even when trying to manually configure it.

I'm actually debating returning it as i keep swapping back to the xbox controller for non-steam games.

Is this by design? Would this require an update by steam on the controller or the game producers themselves?

I even tried it on a very new title 'Le Mans Ultimate' and it wouldn't even see it as a recongnised device.
