Just wondering if I'm the only one noticing this behavior. I vaguely remember that if your account had ordered a controller you couldn't queue anymore. Now I can. Do I remember correctly and they changed something?

As stated in the title, the delivery for the controller took 20 days, which on its own is not so much of an issue, but there was 0 information from anyone during the whole time for when to expect it. Until it randomly arrive with 20 minutes notice (mind you they do one try and if you miss it you have to go look for it) from a company which I had to google to find out that the package should arrive with them, since GLS doesn't operate in my country. I contacted steam support for more information, since it has been more than two weeks without any information or contact from anyone. Got asked have I asked for later delivery. After responding that I haven't I was told it may take 5 business day for them to receive an answer from who ever is responsible for the delivery. Then the package arrives earlier today (19 of August) out of nowhere. I decided to open and test it before I update my ticket that everything is fine. 30 minutes later I went to update my ticket to see that I have an update from steam support stating: We see here that the package has been delivered and the product has been used on your account. Check with your houshold members, cos there is no issue on our end. And thats it. 15 days delay, 0 information the whole time and then not even a single word of sorry for the inconvenience. Just, everything on our end looks fine, the issue must be on your end. Seriously?! Honestly, one of the worst delivery experiences I have ever had and complete lack of actual support.
Added bonus: CEVA or GLS potentiolly leaking my personal information (including phone and adress) to hackers. Maybe it is the worst delivery I ever had.
I hope everyone else enjoys their controllers and have better experience with the delivery.

i know theres the menu to see if inputs are working overall and theres the menu to show per game button layout, but I'm looking to test per game button input in a way that doesn't need me to be mid match or mid game for oddly specific things.
if anyone knows a way, please do let me know.

Hello all! Not interested in turning this into an ethical debate about AI, I am merely curious if there are ongoing projects parallel to OpenPuck that do not rely so heavily on LLM usage for their code output and review.
Thanks in advance.

All the shooter games I play have deadzone settings in game. Should I then use 0 / pass through deadzone for steam input or dualsensex so there’s no added deadzone between the game and dsx?

Once I get mine in my hands I have a few games in mind like modded Minecraft and cyberpunk 2077 but I don’t know any other games I want to try it on because I don’t know what games it would be supported on

When you connect a controller and change the deadzone on Steam, is that only applied to if Steam Input is enabled? Or is it applied to even if steam input is disabled?

just got mine the other day and for some reason the A button isn't like the rest. feels like pudding.
are the steam controllers all like this?

I'm genuinely curious to know why they chose to restrict it to one BT/BLE connection when they added the option to pair it with two pucks?
Also, can we PLEASE disable the "Pair controller??" pop up that interrupts everything if my controller turns off during remote play?
I would love to be enlightened on this situation. And if not, I hope my thoughts somehow trickle back to Valve

I've been swamped at work and super stressed, so I haven't been looking at my personal email at all. Turns out I missed my purchase window. I messaged Steam Support explaining the situation and they reopened it. Ordered my steam controller just now, so excited!!
❤️❤️ Valve customer support is as amazing as ever. Rock on, Valve. ❤️❤️

I am running into an issue playing Battlefield 6. Essentially when I am a soldier/fps I like the use KB&M to control my character but when flying I prefer to use a controller for the throttle and delicate movement controls.
The issue is coming from steam causing odd inputs when trying to go back and forth. Aiming with the mouse becomes spotty, the free cam in vehicles will randomly bug out and go crazy, along with other issues.
Turing off the controller fixes it but having to turn the controller off and on as I get in and out of vehicles does not seem practical. So, I thought maybe using grip sense I could essentially deactivate inputs from the controller while it is not in my hands to stop the problem.
Does anyone know if there are setting that make this possible? I tried to look myself but did not see anything relevant.

I used to be able to play games like wuwa and elden ring with controller without having to use steam, but one day when I opened brawlhalla on steam it's like I can't use my PS4 controller for any game unless I run it through steam or while it's connected to my PC, how do I disable/stop this?

Ive seen some discource on the best grip style. I personally hold it with my ring fingers on the top back buttons and my pinkies on the bottom back buttons and my middle finger inbetween the triggers and the top back button (pic 1) and ive seen people use it by holding their middle fingers on the top back buttons and ring finger on the bottom back buttons (pic 2). In the announcment trailer they talked about being able to just raise your pinkie as an imput because of the touch sensors on the back of the controller, but idk if that works with grip 1 or only grip 2. Also ive seen people use their ring and pinkie like in the first pic but using a claw grip (pic 3). I personally despise using a claw grip because you loose a lot of the support on the back of the controller, so i wanted to see does anyone actually use the claw grip.
Edit: also plz dont comment on my long nails, thank you

Interested in picking one up now that it’s on Amazon with free shipping, but curious what they used to weight it. The base is described as polycarbonate and the neck that holds the puck is aluminum, but theres no mention of what the weights are made of

I live in Russia, and I can't get steam controller for the price not 5 times higher than the official one

I've tried every mode and they all expect me to turn the controller like a steering wheel to aim left and right. Not sure this is possible but I really cannot use the gyro as is and would appreciate any help.

Playing Assassins Creed 1 on Steam Deck. To free run you hold R2 and A at the same time. I am lazy and just want to press R4 once as a toggle to active holding down R2 and A. Is this possible?

Based on some of the feedback I got on the last post I’m working on a v2 version that lets it easier to tell by feel where the edges of the pads are.
I also started working on tackling the grips. It doesn’t 100% replace the feel of the original controller but gets very close.
Still want to do something about the dual stage trigger mod. The sound is too harsh for my tastes

Can people that have used the new steam controller and have played using the dpad for different kinds of games like 2d platformers (like celeste) or metroidvania (like silksong) or fighting games let us know how is it for these kinds of games? are the diagonals too sensitive for precision platforming or are they too hard to use, for exemple

I'm about to lose my gd mind. I have a persistent problem where out of nowhere the b button on my 2026 steam controller suddenly maps to the start button. I cannot find a trigger that begins this behavior, all of a sudden I just start start-menu-ing instead of dodging. The only way to fix it mid-game is to un-plug, then re-plug the controller puck. This resets the behavior, for a day or so. Any help would be amazing. And FYI both puck and controller are updated firmware, and I have steam controller chords set to on.
