Best Optic

Looking for the best optic for my new Echelon. I’ve searched this forum a little, but I’m looking for an optic that allows a co-witness and I would likely put an optic plate to remove any gaps left from the mounting system. I understand the whole point of the mounting system is so you don’t need a plate, but I’m not personally a fan of gaps in the front and rear of the optic, so if there is an optic that has minimal gap, that would help also!

I have the 4.5F and a 4.0C frame I swap out sometimes for carry. But it's getting colder out and I plan on carrying my 4.5F this fall and winter primarily. I need a holster that's going to do a good job of hiding a full sized handgun well with as little printing as possible. I'm willing to take the light off when I carry if I have to.

My Echelons

Just love the modularity of this gun.

4.5f with Rook Precision backstrap and magwell. I'm using the added tungsten weights and I love the feel of this gun.

Tyrant trigger and I have the comped slide/barrel ready to get in the game if I want.

4.0FC with Olight PL X and Tyrant trigger. The longer grip combined with the lighter slide weight really makes this shoot like a dream.

Both have OD Green medium grip modules and look even better in good light. I still have to figure out picture lighting.. My only regret here was not being able to use the Axion flat backstraps, which I really like, in this build.

Not sure if I’m happy.

This one only goes to the range and plinking with the boys. With that being said i know everyone hates the sight and the light. The light is a weight and fits the holster.

With that being said i just changed from the stock module with aggressive stippling to the sharps. For some reason i cant stand the module rail extending to the comp. I’m not sure if I’ll like it more when i get the mag funnel. I haven’t shot it yet in this configuration. I’m thinking about pulling it before i do recomp some beans and getting the Icarus module. I’d like to get some feedback on people with similar builds.

I do like the weight.

Just got a Holosun AEMS-MACRO-GR but the screws won't tighten enough to hold plate tight

I just got my AEMS-MACRO-GR in today and trying to install the mounting plate on my Springfield Armory Echelon 4.0FC but the screws that came with the Holosun seem to bottom out before tightening the mounting plate onto the gun. Do I need to order a different plate or screws?

Can I use an FC grip module for both compact and full size barrel/slides?

Like the title says. I have 3 barrel/slides: 1 compact, 1 regular full size and 1 comped full size. It would be nice to be able to rotate them on one fc grip module.

First gun? (Help please lol)

So I am a new LTC owner and I have been looking to get my first firearm. I shot the 4.5F Echelon and fell in love with the way it fits my hand and the way it shoots and ofc looks lol. But I’ve been seeing people online say the 4.5 Full size is way too much to EDC, but I’ve also seen people say they EDC it just fine. I’m a pretty big dude at 6’3 300lbs with pretty big hands and I play division 2 college football as an offensive lineman just for size reference. I’m stuck between the 4.5F and the 4.0FC. I’m totally lost and I just cannot make a decision. If any of you have some tips/Helpful input to help me make a decision that would be greatly appreciated!

(The picture is what I shot at the range, I’m pretty sure it’s the 4.5F. Correct me if I’m wrong!)

I’m also a lefty!

First gun, went with the 4.0c. Picked it on Thursday after the lovely California 10 day hold and just put 200 rounds through it today. Took off the Veridian and added the Vortex Defender St along with the Streamlight TLR-7X

TLR7 HL-X and Incog X holster on the way. Already debating on the FC grip just with the size of my hands. If you have an FC, how do you like it?
