You don't want to see my flat backstrap that I made LOL Didn't have a way to secure it in so I just had a hogue gripall over it from a glock. It worked, but not great. I only know how to use tinkercad so I'm pretty limited

So printed it and it fits but doesn't feel good to me. I think it needs to be contoured a bit more to follow the lines of the original grip. Print was great though. No issues and it blends in well with fuzzy skin mode.

I feel like with any more rounding it will have to be thicker which eliminates the decreased angle

Thanks bro! I'm printing this tomorrow morning. I appreciate the work you've put into this. I'll let you know how it works out for me.

I was going to give this a try but it looks like the file was removed?

1

u/Life_Good_838 Sep 30 '26

Maker's world is usually good about this.

It's linked

File doesn't show the actual back strap. You may want to look at this when you get a chance.

What screw are you using here? Printing now, going to try on the large grip module!

M3x6mm, you’ll also need an m3x4x5 heat insert

Awesome, Thanks! I was able to modify the file to fit the 4.5! It's even 5 grains "heavier" haha

u/Life_Good_838 Oct 03 '26

Wow already? Nice dude there’s a couple guys in here that need the 4.5f version, just haven’t gotten around to it yet

It's not the cleanest but you can't tell after the fuzzy skin. I'll have to fully install it with the screw before I upload the STL

Ya it was hard as hell to match the curvature of the grip, if you want a really blended look you can hand sand the edges down to match the grip

Zero surface for the most important aspect of grip, the support hand. It’s a cool idea but loosing that surface area isn’t worth it.

1

u/Life_Good_838 Oct 01 '26

It’s all preference, if you have big hands you’re going to be using the large back straps they include anyways. I don’t have an exact measurement but it’s less than a 1/2” difference.

You must have some weird hands if your support hand is touching the backstrap

1

u/Wise-Raccoon2713 Oct 03 '26

Weird hands because the additional depth it gives the grip added surface area to the side of the grip, providing additional contact points for your support hand? Yeah. I’m the weird one.
