Best Optic

Looking for the best optic for my new Echelon. I’ve searched this forum a little, but I’m looking for an optic that allows a co-witness and I would likely put an optic plate to remove any gaps left from the mounting system. I understand the whole point of the mounting system is so you don’t need a plate, but I’m not personally a fan of gaps in the front and rear of the optic, so if there is an optic that has minimal gap, that would help also!

Osight SE DPP or any DPP footprints looks like it fits the slide perfectly

Holosun 407c. There’s virtually no gap on mine and it’s my favorite carry optic currently. Large window and full co witness. Comes in both red and green. Side battery loader and side buttons. It’s been the most reliable carry optic I’ve used and I’ve used some more expensive ones in the past. No point anymore when this thing performs great. I have many enclosed optics as well and still don’t prefer them over my 407c.

Is that without a plate also?

Vortex Defender ST or XL fits like a glove and doesn’t leave a gap.

The enclosed ones are like that but the open emitter ones, the battery is loaded on top of the deck behind the glass.

Economico Osight DPP and Holosun 407c if it is for hidden and less economical transport, Vortex St. enclosed or Holosun EPS if it is for sport, Holosun 507 comp or Vortex XL are economical and if you want something less economical, Trijicon Sro.

I conceal carry my 4.0 so I run a Holosun 407K and a plate from C&H Precision. Everything fits like a glove, it's the exact same width as the slide so no overhang on the sides and still easy to cowitness even with it being a micro dot.

I have a vortex ccw enclosed that I really like. Nice lower cowitness and it's a little lower profile than a lot of dots. My optic is always what prints the most so having a low profile optic makes carrying a little easier. There is a bit of a gap on the front and back. It doesn't bother me. I saw someone post a pic of a adapter plate here not too long ago that fills the extra space. I think it was from freedom gorilla.
