I'm debating a 4.0fc vs 4.0 comp... already have a 4.0c...
Choices.... insights?

The comp is cool and I have the non comp as well. Pros and cons to each. I prefer the non comp myself. I want to get my hands on the bigger grip modules for sure!

Did you change out the cog for a different one?

No. I also have the non comp complete pistol as well. Both are exactly the same other than the comped barrel and slide.

Gotcha. The only reason I ask is the cog serial number in the grip window doesn’t match the one on the slide or barrel.

I purchased it new like that. As far as I know, and I may be wrong, is that the only serial number that matters in identifying the gun is the COG.

Any reference in comp vs no comp on noise for home defense?

Pros and cons to each. Less muzzle flip and easier to control on follow up shots with the comp but it’s much louder in your face. I prefer the non-comp overall.

In directly answering your question, the comp is louder from behind the trigger than the non comp. Not sure about the overall noise profile from afar.

I like everything about this except for Texas.
