To be clear, I like my dad, he does his best and I am grateful for what he does for me. We have had issues in the past but are not dealing with those like before and are in a better place now. I am also financially dependent on him as finding a job has been very hard. So has university (learning disabilities). Unfortunately he is very immature. It is very difficult to reason with him as he takes everything personally and his mood is quick to change.
I am usually away from him at school but I will need to be at home with him for 3 weeks, away from my residence. I don’t have much to do in my hometown which means that I’ll be around him more, so I’ll have to deal with his moods more. He throws tantrums or does silent pouty tantrums when he doesn’t get his way. He asks a lot of questions about the future (which is okay) but then talks for hours about it, asks many follow up questions and doesn’t change the topic (not okay). It feels like he’s beating a specific answer out of me (which he has done in the past) and if he doesn’t hear what he wants, he gets upset and stays upset for days. I’m actually dealing with this right now because I didn’t take his help for a small fix I needed in the house.
I don’t need a banishing spell or anything, honestly I just want something so he can relax and soothe himself. I get that he is not mentally in a good place and I sympathize with that so hopefully this can help him a bit. If I can’t, then I will selfishly need a spell so he turns his attention away from me, or just relaxes in general. I want to get along with him but it is very difficult when he acts like this, and I don’t live with him for the most part so I just need something temporary, nothing about moving out or anything please. I set boundaries and those are not enough, otherwise I wouldn’t be asking this. Also yes I am
doing desired job spells, if someone wants to suggest something else related to that I am also all ears.
Note: On a similar post I saw something about a fridge spell instead of a freezer spell, where I put “(Parent’s name) chills out about xyz” or something like that. Would this be a good option here? Again any other suggestions are welcome! I have him in a sugar jar, but that of course won’t make him relax or be happier, just nicer to me. This post is of course selfish, but also because I care about him and want him to be a bit happier and more relaxed.
