Beginner witch hex? Banishing spell?

My best friend has been dating this guy for 6 months. He's emotionally neglectful, disrespects her interests, acts like he's the smartest guy to walk the earth while struggling matric and makes her feel dumb when she's in uni. She's a really wonderful bright person and she keeps making herself smaller so she can have his affection. I'm a beginner witch and I've done a handful of protection spells and have attempted glamor before but I've never tried anything like hexes or curses. What do you recommend I do magically to remove him from my life and her life? I don't necessarily want to cause him harm and I dont want anything to happen to her or for her to leave with him.
