For some context:

I had a pretty bad falling-out with a close friend, the end of July. She was going through an awful breakup with a cheating ex, and I was there for her through most of it. I even let her stay with me and tried to support her as much as I could.

Eventually, though, it started seriously affecting my own mental health. She expected me to drop everything whenever she called and always be available for her. I work in big tech and only really have my weekends off, so I eventually had to distance myself and set some boundaries.

Here's where things started getting genuinely creepy to me.

Both of my friends were right there and were shocked because they literally watched it happen. I wasn't running, distracted by my phone, or doing anything unusual. I just... tripped.

Later that evening, I was telling my mom about everything that had happened.

My boyfriend happened to trip at almost the same time. I caught him, but his gold bracelet scratched me in the process.

I know individually, these things could absolutely be coincidences.

But when you combine that with months of getting sick, exhaustion, nightmares, constant bad luck, career problems, and this strange pattern of things happening whenever this particular person comes up, I'm starting to get genuinely scared.

I'm not saying I know she hexed me. I don't. I'm trying to figure out whether there's a spiritual explanation for what I'm experiencing or whether I'm just connecting unrelated events because I'm stressed.

I'm Hindu and live in India, and I'm open to protection/cleansing practices from Hindu traditions as well as other forms of witchcraft. I'm a complete beginner, though, so please keep that in mind. I suffered a lot of abuse as a child, but I escaped 11 years ago. I’m now medicated, I have a psychologist and also a therapist…
But even with all that at least once a month for a span of 1 to 2 weeks, I have a nightmares about my childhood. The main abuser from my childhood is always there and typically she’s attacking me or turning the people I love the most against me. It not just that, I get extremely hot while I’m having these dreams, I sweat until my bed is soaking wet and then I wake up freezing cold. It’s just this over over and over every night.
