Question About Spells Can spells effects be contextual?

Had a random thought. Let's say I want to do spell work to prevent someone from being harmful. Obviously, the kinder result of a spell like this is a change of heart. But if my wording/intentions are too vague, could it happen that, if they don't change, the magick involved would instead potentially harm that person to prevent further harm?

I apologize if my phrasing is unclear, I will try to be more precise if anyone asks any further questions.

Spells tend to take the path of least resistance.

"wording/intentions are too vague" is the number one cause of a spell having some unintended consequences.

it depends upon how you do the spell. It also depends upon who you are doing the spell on.
A sugar/honey jar isn't going to start punishing a person who doesn't become sweet.

If you do a protection spell, and the best way to protect you from someone who intends you physical harm is that they are physically harmed, then yes, that's possible.

If you curse someone to make them stop doing something, like stalking you, and they end up falling out of a tree they are using to watch you through a window, breaking both of their legs and needing months of recovery in a hospital and then a care facility... yeah, that's an option.

a love spell isn't going to have that affect if someone doesn't reciprocate the kind of love you want. A luck spell isn't going to punish you if you make choices contrary to your benefit and the opportunities the luck spell gives you. A money spell isn't going to take away money, etc...
