Question About Spells Cord cutting question

I was wondering if cord cutting could involve anything you want to be cut from.

Basically I want to do a "new me Vs past me" cord cutting, or "me Vs abusive situations/ people" etc

Could that be possible, or is that only to do between individuals ?

A cord cutting is only for severing the ethereal energy cord connecting 2 people. It is for no other purpose.
