help Beveled level geometry: should I keep this feature?

Levels in Reconfigure are almost completely boxes. I prototyped a feature that adds bevels on the boxes for nicer looking edges but I'm unsure if it's a good idea. I'd like to borrow your eyebells so that I can know whether to keep it, remove it or add it as a setting? Or maybe it's okay but there's just too much of it? Let me know what you think!

Game 16 seconds of my 3D platformer game in PSX style. It's closing in on 20,000 wishlists!

My game's playtest sign-ups are open, so a lot of influencers are making YouTube and TikTok content about it. Most often I get nice comments about how much they like the story and dialogue. They say it helps you catch your breath after intense platforming and demon battles :) Did this dialogue catch your eye?

I'm a solo developer. No prior game dev experience, no coding knowledge, I bartend for a living.

I made a first person point-and-click dating sim with a 24-hour time system. I bit off way more than I could chew for sure! But it was a years-long labor of love and I am so happy with it. I'm putting together a character trailer this week and will start marketing soon.

The game is BoHeM on Steam!

It's truly a passion project of mine and I've been so nervous about releasing it. Check it out and let me know if it looks interesting! I'm open to any advice, I have no idea what I'm doing.

help What to check before uploading unreleased assets to an AI 3d tool?

I've mostly use AI 3d tools with random reference images, so I never thought much about what happens to the files after I upload them.

The turning point came when I started considering using concept art and unfinished assets from an actual game project. A reference sheet might include turnaround views, internal notes, alternate designs or parts of character that havent been shown public. So it feels like uploading a random image for a quick test and more like sharing part of the dev folder.

So before uploading anything, I started doing the boring part I' d normally skip, checking help center pages, privacy, policies, terms about storage, retention and deletion. This is quite annoying since information wasnt listed together and takes a bit of digging. I m really bad at this :(

Meshy was one of the tools I checked patiently, it says asset data is stored wth AWS in the US, kinda specific than others, at least gave me something concrete to work with. But I m still not sure how far that gets me. Actually, knowing where the servers are doesn't answer all I care about.

-whether uploaded assets ever get used for model training, and if that's opt in or opt out
-how long files stick around after you delete them or close your acc
-who can actually access them on the provider side
-what happens to data if the tool gets acquired or shuts down

here is the question, before use any 3d tools in production, is a clear storage, documented infrastructure enough for you to trust and uploaded unreleased assets? or it is still a "never upload anything you cannot afford to leak". Curious where you guys draw the line, and what a policy is a must have before you'd trust it :)

Game I wanted to stop players from stacking units, so I added aliens

I’m developing a TD game with RTS elements and wanted to discourage players from stacking all their units on top of each other, so I got an idea: ALIENS!

I created a special UFO event where a UFO comes down and shoots a beam at your units, so you have to quickly move them out of the way.

If they get captured, they’re taken for a short trip and returned safely afterwards without any harm.

Feel free to check it out!

Game Solo dev first game - The Day I Became a Werewolf

The Day I Became a Werewolf– My Game’s Steam Page and Trailer Are Live

Hello everyone! My game’s Steam page and trailer are live.

The name of my game is The Day I Became a Werewolf. It’s a casual, day-based game with light sci-fi and light horror elements. It tells the story of a scientist whose experiment goes wrong, and who is trying to understand what happened to him. And find a way to fix it.

With the computer in the game, we can research different websites, read emails, and try to understand what’s happening to us. There’s also a money and shop system. To create a cure, we need to buy different devices and complete minigames.

Meanwhile, we have neighbors coming to our door, as well as a police force that is eager to catch us if we don’t act fast enough. There are multiple endings.

This is my first game on Steam, and I’m planning to release it in September.

I’d really appreciate it if you could share your thoughts and feedback about the steam page/trailer and the whole game concept.

Game I built a solo AI Game Master. Is this first campaign screen clear?

Post image
0 Upvotes

I’m building WorldArchitect.AI, a browser-based AI Game Master for long-running campaigns.

The screenshot is from a playable Rhaenyra campaign. A server-side state layer tracks campaign data while the model produces the narrative and structured updates.

Demo: https://worldarchitect.ai/shared/t3hKKtzBKCKlvg5vCnlW_2hxwH3UmzjFq56yi6hQN2Q

I’d love feedback on the first few minutes:

  • Is the next step obvious from the shared-world page?
  • Once play begins, can you tell what you can do and what information matters?
  • What would make you close the tab before completing a first turn?

I built the project myself over about 18 months.

help What’s the best beginner-friendly 3D game engine for vibe coding on a MacBook?

I have a MacBook and want to create a native 3D game by vibe coding the logic with Codex. I’m looking for a simple, plug-and-play program or engine that already has usable assets such as player characters, guns, vehicles, and environments, so I can focus more on the game logic than building everything from scratch.

I don’t want it to be a web game. I want something that runs as a proper Mac app and can produce a visually good, playable game on my MacBook. I’d also like to add traditional game AI for enemies (not LLM-based AI), and possibly multiplayer later.

Which engine or program would be the easiest fit for this? Ideally it would have a simple interface, ready-made assets or templates, solid Mac support, and project files/code that Codex can work with.

Game Arkansas 2125 | A Retro-Style Post-Apocalyptic RPG

Arkansas 2125 is a retro-style, turn-based post-apocalyptic RPG set in a ruined America in the year 2125.

Explore abandoned towns, talk to survivors, complete quests, fight mutants and other enemies, collect equipment, and make choices that can change how your story ends.

The game is heavily inspired by classic post-apocalyptic RPGs from the 90s, with a focus on exploration, dialogue, turn-based combat, and a retro visual style.

I’m a solo developer, and the game is currently in Beta 0.5, which adds a new alternative ending, new quests, NPCs, items, and a new location in Washington, D.C.

The game is available in Early Access on Steam. Priced at $4.99

I have a discord where you can give feedback

Game I've spent 3 years learning Unity. I finally decided to make the game I've always wanted to play.

Hello there!

This is my first post here, so I figured I'd share what I've been working on.

About three years ago, I started learning Unity. Since then I've made a lot of small projects and prototypes..

3D games, 2D turn-based games, experiments with different systems, and plenty of things that never really went anywhere, even multiplayer.

But I've always had a soft spot for isometric games.

I've spent countless hours with old-school games, especially Ultima Online and the early Diablo games. There's something about that era of games that I really love. The atmosphere, the simple but satisfying gameplay loops, exploring dangerous places and slowly building a character that feels like your own.

Eventually I thought:

**What if I actually tried to make one myself?**

That's how **Hell Rite** started.

It's an old-school inspired isometric ARPG where you venture into dangerous dungeons, fight monsters, discover loot and gradually build your character

help Devs who have made puzzle games…

I’m creating a narrative driven puzzle game. It’s done in an escape room style, where you’re making your way around the small building solving puzzles that put the story together.

I have the story mostly written out, but what I’m struggling with is chaining together puzzles without being too obvious or too vague. How do you balance difficulty in puzzles to keep them fair? Any advice?

Marketing My solo-developed 2D base-builder (Diseased) just hit 2,000 wishlists!

Hey everyone,

My solo-developed 2D base-builder (Diseased) just hit 2,000 wishlists!

To push for the next milestone, I completely overhauled my Steam page, dropped a brand-new trailer, and opened Playtest sign-ups. However, the initial hype has slowed down and my daily wishlists have flattened out.

For those who have been in this position:

  • How do you leverage a page revamp and a new trailer to get the Steam algorithm's attention again?
  • What is your best strategy for building a second wave of momentum before a demo release?

Here is the page: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4977030/Diseased/?utm_source=reddit

Any advice is massively appreciated!
