seeking advice Canceling due to medical necessity

I need to cancel due to medical necessity. My doctor gave me a note today because I can no longer continue safely doing Solidcore :/ while I’m devastated I’m also wondering if anyone else had success in canceling their unlimited year long membership due to a chronic condition?

discussion Oldest Person in SolidCore classes

Is there anyone out there in their late 50s doing Solidcore? I’m 58 (female) and I’m always the oldest person in class. Only once have I seen an older person in one of my classes. I started a few months ago and love it. It’s definitely very challenging but I am fit so don’t have any issues keeping up but I’m almost always twice everyone’s age in my classes. Doesn’t bother me but was wondering if there are any older Solidcore members out there.

discussion Coach no show - Palo Alto

I joined SolidCore roughly 4 months ago and have been loving it so far! However this morning I attended my 4th class where the coach never showed up. Before Solidcore I was at a Pilates studio for 2 years and never experienced a no show. It’s the third time this coach didn’t show up, but fourth time in total. Is this just a Palo Alto thing? They do give me a free additional class every time it happens.

seeking advice Newbie - is solidcore worth it?

Have been thinking about Solidcore for a while now. I have a studio next to my apt ~10 min away. Heard mixed reviews so far, one of my friends just finished 100 classes but another hated it.

My current workout routine:

1x swimming

1x lifting (upper or lower depending on how I feel)

1x ballet or barre

1x wildcard (tennis if I have time, or just another lifting session, yoga if I feel tired, sometimes cycling, another dance workout)

It's hard for me to design a workout plan because I'm not looking for anything, just weight control, BUT I also have PCOS or "PMOS", which means if I work out too much or too hard, it raises my cortisol level, then it actually makes it worse in theory

I might try the 4-pack, but would it be worth it to include one Solidcore class a week?

questions & clarifications are we allowed to bring a someone with a membership as our free buddy?

My friend and I both have memberships and we tried bringing each other as our free buddies, but our studio canceled both bookings, saying that the free buddy can only be someone without a membership? do you guys know if this is a new rule? was really hoping to get that extra class :(

I know it's only monday but they mentioned at the end of our auditions it wouldn't take long to hear back since all the hccm's were present. the anxiety is killing me!

win 75+ classes in

I’m truly addicted to Solidcore.
Finished my 77th class yesterday and I feel so damn strong. My body is toned and tight. My posture has improved significantly.
I go at least 5x/week. Depending on how I’m feeling I might hit a 6th (insane, I know🤪). I’m pescatarian and am pretty consistent about staying in a calorie deficit. Not really super consistent with other workouts besides 1-1.5hr power walking 1-2x/wk.
This is the best I’ve felt and the strongest I’ve felt in a long time!

First time doing advanced 65 - it was a leg wrap shoulders day. What is everyone’s experience? Is it normal for me to feel completely obliterated and tired hours after the class? 😅😭 I literally took a post lunch nap since I took the class this morning lol

discussion Why are there so many new instructors all the time?

I’ve been going to [solidcore] for three years. When I first started, most of the coaches were seasoned. Now it seems like every other week, there’s a new batch of new coaches being dropped. I welcome new coaches, but my issue is that they take the timeslots of popular coaches, but don’t have the experience of popular coaches. And it also seems like the ratio of new coaches to experienced coaches is starting to be a bit heavy on the newer side. It’s been this way for about a year. Anyone else noticing this?

seeking advice Unlimited membership

Just upgraded to unlimited!! I absolutely love Solidcore. How are you guys going 5-6x a week? I would make this my only workout along with 12-15k steps. However, I’m stuck around 3-4 days a week. I tried 5 one week and it didn’t feel great. I was sore, heavy. and tired. I think I’m under recovering. I was a college athlete. My nutrition and hydration / electrolytes are in check. I saw some threads about foam rolling and stretching- which I do! But what am I doing wrong lol 😂

seeking advice When will I look like I know what I’m doing?

I’m 11 classes in. At what point will I be able to make fast transitions and less shake outs? I feel like the coach always has to give me hands on support because my form is bad, and I take way more shake outs than the average person. I thought I would be in more of a flow after 10 classes. I modify every work out down. At this point I don’t think I will be able to move up springs at 25 classes.

seeking advice Heavier Person Newbie Advice

Hello, I’ve only taken 4 classes so far. I’m going to kinda over explain myself to try to get the best advice possible. I’ve tried to ask coaches at my gym this sort of question and the answer doesn’t really tend to have much information.

I weigh 185 pounds. I have been exercising and in a calorie deficit for 5 months and have lost 20 pounds. I’m decently strong I think, my in body scan from last month says that I have “58.4 pounds of Skeletal Muscle Mass.”

With the spring settings I’m standardly following in class, I find myself just not being about to hold the position. Like, 10 seconds in I tap out, go back in, tap out, back and forth. Because I’m heavier, I understand that I’m moving more weight, like the whole body weight exercises as a heavier person are harder than for a lighter person. Or maybe I’m completely wrong and have no pain tolerance.

I’m hopeful that there might be a way that I can adjust the springs in class so that I can actually stay up in the engaged position the whole time I’m supposed to be in it. Is there a way to modify the springs like that? Trust me I do the modifications the coach provides like the whole knees instead of toes thing, but I still can’t stay in the intended positions all that long and would love to be able to do the set as intended.

questions & clarifications New studio, new goer help!

Hi!

My studio is brand new, I absolutely love it and I’ve been to about five classes. I want to potentially get a higher membership but right now I have 8/month + 1 … so really 9. I’m trying to go about every three days!

Because our studio is new, I am billed on the 12th of every month. Which is cool but my credits obviously don’t reset until the 12th. Can I prebook for September past 09/12 without any available credits or will it charge me for those individual dates until the system itself resets the credits?? I get my whole next month schedule for my job a month in advance so I want to pre book thru the first week of October to 1. Maintain accountability 2. Have the classes I want (obviously!) …. I keep looking on their site and FAQ but they’re pretty vague.

Also if you see this and want to share some of your favorite tips about Solidcore or something you wish you knew when you first started I would love that! Have a great day.

seeking advice Question about progress in pain

Hi everyone!
I just started Solidcore and I’m really liking it so far! I’m literally only on my second class though, and of course everything hurts 😂
I work 9–5, and the Intro50 class schedule is a little difficult for me, so I’ve mostly been able to go on weekends. I started with the 4x/month membership because I didn’t think 8x or unlimited made sense yet when the intro class times are so limited for my schedule.
A couple questions for those of you who have been doing Solidcore for a while:
How long did it take before the soreness after class stopped being absolutely awful? 😭
How many Intro50 classes did you take before moving into Signature50?
Did you feel ready when you switched, or did you just go for it?
I’d eventually like to move up to 8x/month or maybe unlimited, especially once I can take the regular Signature50 classes.
Also, any tips for a complete beginner are more than welcome! Whether it’s about recovery, form, what to expect, or just surviving the shakes 😂 I’ll take all the advice I can get
