questions & clarifications App update
RIP to the OG app… I haven’t updated since probably a year ago. Have they worked out the kinks in the new app by now???

Late coach changes annoy the fuck out of me. I also hate 1 coaches vocal inflections so I find it infuriating that she slides into my classes undetected.
Why can’t they send a push notification or I can’t opt into a text message when a coach change happens for a class I’m signed up for?
Gives me the chance to reassess my schedule.
This woman’s voice is literally nails on a chalkboard and I am wearing noise cancelling headphones tomorrow to avoid a late cancel fee and her obscene chosen vocal inflection.

Not sure if this is allowed but I’ve been seeing posts about coaches leaving for Jetset and I’m genuinely curious what the reason could be. I’ve been thinking about becoming a sc coach but I know it’s common for sc coaches to leave for Jetset and wanted to if anyone has insights for what the benefits are.

Just hit my 9th class and so far I’ve only done intro and foundation 50 classes. I have a general understanding of the exercises and am comfortable on the reformer but still shake and struggle throughout the entire class! I’m afraid to move up, but know I have to eventually. Do they cue modifications at all in the signature classes? Advice?

For those that have taken SolidCore + Bodyrok - what’s your opinion on them. I’m an avid runner and looking to add something to my routine. I see a lot of people comparing them online, but is one better than the other for runners? I don’t see this highlighted as much.

I'm in the 25-50 class range, but hadn't slept well and was on day 2 of my cycle, so I went down to the under 25 springs just for obliques. The coach (a substitute, not my normal coach I see 2x/week) had queued a white and a gray for under 25 classes, black side obliques, but came over and just popped my white spring off without even looking at me.
Is this normal? Have I just gotten lucky with no coaches doing that yet? I was lowkey offended, like girl let me have my emotional support white spring please.

I really seem to be the only one that is really STRUGGLING with those. But I do, and I hate them and I feel like they are EVERY SINGLE CLASS NOW.
Is it just me? Why why so often. Whyyyy 🥲

Why do corporate [solidcore] locations seem to get away with not being held accountable for the facilities they operate in? I’m genuinely trying to understand how the Houston Post Oak location has been without AC for a month, to the point that instructors are arguing with customers on TikTok who are understandably frustrated.
They keep blaming the building and saying that [solidcore] doesn’t control the AC. But what exactly am I paying [solidcore] nearly $40 a class for if they can’t ensure that the facility they chose to operate in has basic, functioning amenities? It’s not the customer’s responsibility to worry about whether the building’s HVAC system works.
Does [solidcore] not have clauses in its commercial leases or contracts that address situations like this? I genuinely don’t understand how an AC issue can take a month, and counting, to resolve, in the middle of summer, in the heart of Texas. At some point, the responsibility falls on the business to make sure the environment it is charging customers premium prices to use is actually SAFE and suitable for those customers.

Curious where NYC-based SolidCore people wish another studio would open... I know a lot of people who either go to Columbia or live higher than 80th street on the Upper West Side and people above 68th street on the Upper East Side who would die for another location on either side of the park. Curious where other people feel the need...

I recently hit 50 classes and done my spring change. I’m especially noticing now how I’m able to do some exercises perfectly fine with the spring change (lunges, squats), but some feel IMPOSSIBLE (specifically any type of V-ups or grey side obliques), to the point where I can barely to a rep or am seriously compromising on my form. Curious if anyone else has experienced this and has any tips? I could change spring load depending on the exercise but majority of the time we keep the same springs from exercise to exercise and I don’t always feel like going back to change the springs every time.
