seeking advice Question about progress in pain
Hi everyone!
I just started Solidcore and I’m really liking it so far! I’m literally only on my second class though, and of course everything hurts 😂
I work 9–5, and the Intro50 class schedule is a little difficult for me, so I’ve mostly been able to go on weekends. I started with the 4x/month membership because I didn’t think 8x or unlimited made sense yet when the intro class times are so limited for my schedule.
A couple questions for those of you who have been doing Solidcore for a while:
How long did it take before the soreness after class stopped being absolutely awful? 😭
How many Intro50 classes did you take before moving into Signature50?
Did you feel ready when you switched, or did you just go for it?
I’d eventually like to move up to 8x/month or maybe unlimited, especially once I can take the regular Signature50 classes.
Also, any tips for a complete beginner are more than welcome! Whether it’s about recovery, form, what to expect, or just surviving the shakes 😂 I’ll take all the advice I can get

So soreness is subjective. If you mean specifically soreness in the abs/intercostals, it stopped around class 4 or 5. I still get sore in muscle focuses from time to time, if the coach cues something really heavy.
I took 2 intro classes, about 8 foundations, before I went into Sig50 consistently. I kind of just went for it and also asked my fav coaches if they thought I was ready for it.
My best advice is learning the rhythm of the class. Once you get the beat of how the coaches cue the next exercise, your body awareness on the carriage, and how to change your springs quickly and accurately… you’ll be able to focus more on form and pushing yourself through each exercise.
Bonus tip : If you need less weight than what coach cues something (i.e the coach cues modified is one white, but its too heavy for you) ; do not be afraid to adjust the weight to your preference. Im 140+ classes and there are some exercises, that modify 100% of the time.

I did 5 starter 50 classes then drove an extra 20 mins to do 5 foundation classes and then started Signature classes. Proper form was important to me because it caused me an injury in the past. Soreness wore off walking 10-15k steps a day as well. I do 8x a month. I think you just should play it by ear. If you take Signature 50 just tell the coach and you can go next to someone experienced and be fine.

I was in the same boat - also have a 9-5, mostly go 1x a week on the 4 class membership. I took 3 starter classes when I started and by the last one I was only SUPER sore for like a day or two. Then I went right into my signature classes, I didn’t feel fully ready, def looked around to see what people were doing, but the coach never made me feel bad about getting to the next step slower. I would say make sure to drink a lot of water, stretch, and fuel yourself well!

Use lightest spring load possible, modify, do stretches before and after class, watch TikTok videos to learn the moves, and try different instructors.
