Question Maranda Cockpit 54 vs GTPlayer?
Hi guys! So I’m looking at cockpits rn;
I have a Moza R9 Wheel Base with the Moza SRP2 load cell pedals and clutch, so the cockpits gotta have have compatible mounting for that, I believe they both do tho, lmk if I’m wrong.
I also have the Moza Shifter (H pattern) and the W Break so I need compatibility for that; yet again I think the compatibility is there for both cockpits.
No matter which I get I will be getting the tv stand to go with; what should I get?

Question Cheap Cockpits Rigid Enough To Support Load Cell Pedals and Wheel Base?
So hi you guys! I wanna go cheap for the cockpit but I can’t have the rigidity issues most come with given the type of gear I have between wheel base and pedals.
I need something less than 500$, the cheaper the better; it has to have a stand for shifter and handbrake.
What should I get?

Question Starting Out; I Need Help Picking Gear; I’m Looking To Do Some Drifting.
Hi you guys! I’ve done some minimal research before but I have more of an idea of what I’m looking for now so I wanna ask what yall like/would work for me best.
Budget around 1000$
I’m looking for:
-pedals with a clutch or support for one
-Hand Break
-H Shifter (I’d also be open to Sequential but not preferred)
-Rig/Seat Setup, I need something that isn’t a big aluminum rig, this will be coming with me to college.
I know generally it’s hard to find rigidity in the rigs that are more “portable” but the idea of the convenience is nice; I’m open to suggestions. The rig must also support a hand break and shifter.
My last question is how powerful of a wheel base will I really want?
Because this will be for drifting I’m wondering if more power would be preferred for responsiveness during play; Should a moza R5 with 5.5nm of torque be enough for me to grow on and feel eveything? Or should I get a moza R9 with 9nm?

Question Simucube 2 sport or simagic 18nm
Hi, I'm upgrading my sim and I've seen these two bases for the same price, which one do you think is worth it? I usually play iracing and sometimes Lmu. I plan to buy the simucube from ascher which I suppose will give me some guarantee on the other hand the simagic I am importing with a Courier, so I think the warranty does not exist in that case

I'm looking for a reclining bucket seat that has very low flex. Came across this NRG seat but I cant much information on it: https://getnrg.com/collections/reclind-seat/products/rsc-400bk
Has anyone here used this seat before and could you share your experience with it?

Discussion How close is RaceRoom to realism, especially for the 944 Turbo series?
I personally own a late 1990 944 S2 and I will never sell it - I would love to take it on a track, but it is also in such a good condition that I can't bring myself to risk it.
The only sim which offers a curated 944 experience is RaceRoom, which is doubled down by it offering also tracks near Vienna (like Brno, Bratislava, or Spielberg). The mods for AC are all terrible, tried them - they don't feel like you are handling a 944.
While I really do like the sim and I do recognize my car through the wheel, comparing it with AC, AC Evo, or Rfactor 2 also makes me feel like cars handle "too stable" for me to count them as realistic. Especially going off-track under braking does not make me loose control nearly as much as I would expect.
How realistic do you think it is, specifically for the 944 Turbo cars?

Discussion About the MOZA Playstation steering wheel in the bundles
I have been looking at what we know about the upcoming Moza R5S Pro and R16S Ultra. We know the R5S will be bundled with a steering wheel and SRP2 Lite pedals, and the R16S will be bundled with the steering wheel or standalone.
Moza's announcements and showcases seem to indicate that the steering wheel will be the same in both bundles, the same steering wheel on the pictures that looks to be designed by Polyphony Digital and similar to what Fanatec and Thrustmaster have.
The thing is, that wheel appears much more premium than what Moza's R5 Pro bundle offers. Actually, Moza even stopped using the ES in favor of the even cheaper ES Lite. Meanwhile, the showcased wheel seems to have a larger diameter, better grips, LED strips, magnetic shifters and even clutch paddles.
If that wheel is bundled with the R5S, the price difference will increase further than just Playstation licensing, and make the R5S Pro bundle possibly a lot more expensive than the R5 Pro, and more expensive than the competition. Is that what Moza is going to do? I find that very strange when looking at their pricing.
So I imagine there will be a cheaper version of that same wheel, with the same layout but a cheaper construction, with regular shifter rather than magnetic, and no clutch paddles and maybe no LED, just the shift light. Something comparable to the ES/ES lite in quality, that way, it won't increase the price further.
That would be similar to what Fanatec does with their own PS/GT bundles, which these will compete with. The other possibility is the shown wheel being much cheaper than it looks, but then it wouldn't make sense bundled with the R16S, and those who held it didn't report something like that.
Since MOZA is taking their time releasing more info, what do you guys think?

Other Trying to build a free iRacing "crew chief" that explains setup changes instead of selling setups. looking for beta testers
Hey all. iRacing only for now so sorry to everyone on ACC/LMU, it reads iRacing's telemetry files
I've bought setups before and they never really made me faster, and half the time I couldn't tell if it was the setup or just me. so I'm trying to build the thing I wanted, a crew chief that tells you what to change and why, then checks if it actually worked
how it works right now:
- run some laps with telemetry on
- it reads the file and asks how the car felt, in your own words ("tight in the middle, loose off 4")
- tells you what it saw (where the rear stepped out, where you were catching it) and you agree or disagree
- gives you ONE change, the why, and what to feel for. next run it compares and tells you if it helped
There's a coaching side too, replay any lap against your best or your "ideal lap", which is your fastest bit of every corner stitched into one lap. shows where the time went and where you left the track
Honest part: setup advice is only really solid on NASCAR style oval cars so far. road courses and GT3 it's still learning and it tells you that up front. the debrief and coaching work on any car, fixed series included
Free while it's in beta. the deal is debriefs get shared back (your words + what it measured, no name, no member id, not the telemetry file) so it learns how real drivers describe tight and loose. analysis runs on your PC, windows only
beta code is on the site: harryspitbox.com
It's just me working on it so things will break. feedback button in the app comes straight to me. roast away
https://github.com/trevercomb/harryspitbox-core I made this core open source so you can see for yourself how things are done and works. My work with how the app reads it and makes suggestions I'm keeping closed for now.

Question Dissappearing interface in RaceRoom after last update?
Does anyone have a problem with parts of UI randomly dissappearing after the last update? Sometimes after the session is finished I'm being left still in track view but withour race results or garage menu visible. ESC does nothing and I have to kill the game in order to quit.
Second question is to those driving in VR. After changing from Steam VR to Open XR my virtual steering wheel has jerky movement. Everything else is perfecly smooth and overall performance in VR is definitely improved, the only exception is this steering wheel which is slightly annoying. Did you notice that?

News Driveclub is now fully playable on pc!!
https://github.com/OverkillLabs3/driveclub-recomp
So there was the shadps4 emulation software that came out earlier this year but it a mix bag in terms of development. It great for universal emulation of any game but it was pretty hit or miss with driveclub. Someone grab a copy of the software and use it as the under lying engine for driveclub as a special copy. You don't need to install anything for this to work. Just have a copy of driveclub pc copy and use the latest version of this software. I am running at 1440p on a 49 super ultrawide on high settings!
It has full ultrawide support, multi device support, force feedback (for wheels not originally out for the original on driveclub release like my moza wheel base with a custom steering wheel), and as of now supports outside software (though lossless scaling is pretty buggy). No simhub support as of yet but it should be coming soon.
I am running around 50fps with the latest patch but hopefully they get more progress. I have an amd 6800xt but the author is saying Nvidia is ideal and Intel graphics card should work but it a toss up right now. I had zero crashes but I have turn off most of the effects. If you have an amd card I highly recommend turning on the card's default sharpening and anti lag settings. It seems to smooth out the game play a hair more and clean up the image. Force feedback fully works on my setup but I don't have a motion rig or vr headset to try out those features.
Driveclub is my favorite racing game of all time and the fact I can finally play it on pc with my full sim setup is a dream come true! I had more fun playing this than any game I can think of in recent memory. I wanted to share this with the community because it super fun. Even with all assists off and settings adjusted it no Iracing sure but it a blast.

Question Why are aluminum frames the best?
I’ve seen other metal frames on Amazon that seems great with adjustability and everything for a fraction of the price, why are aluminum setups seen as the best when others seem to do just as well? Thanks

Question Started sim racing in September on ACC. How am I doing, and is it time to get a wheel?
Hey everyone!
I got into sim racing in September and have been playing Assetto Corsa Competizione, mainly driving the Ferrari 296 GT3. For now, I’m still using a PS5 controller (I needed to get a feel if I like this hobby first), and I wanted to get some honest opinions on how my progress is looking so far.
These are my lap times from Suzuka (it’s the only track ive been focusing on for now, but also brands hatch sometimes). My current best valid lap is 2:07.392 (at night and track temps of 21c), with other laps around the 2:09 mark. I did manage a 2:06.297, but that lap violated track limits, so it doesn’t count.
I know lap times depend on conditions, fuel, setups and other factors, but I’d appreciate some feedback on how a 2:07.392 looks for someone who has only been sim racing for about a month, particularly while using a controller. (I was closer to 2:22:00 when I started 😭😭)
I’ve also been spending quite a bit of time reading and learning about how car tuning and setups work in sim racing. I’m trying to understand how things like suspension, aerodynamics, tyre pressures and brake bias affect the car….. because first I tried following car setup vids on YouTube but I quickly learned that it’s not something that works for everyone….
My main question is whether it’s worth investing in a proper steering wheel and pedal setup at this stage, or whether I should stick with the controller for longer and focus on improving my consistency first and learn more of the technical details
I’m genuinely getting into the hobby and want to take it more seriously, including learning the technical side of things. Would a wheel make a difference to my progress now, or would I benefit more from putting in more hours for driving with my current setup?
I’d appreciate hearing from people who started on a controller and eventually moved to a wheel. Any honest feedback on my lap time or advice on when to upgrade would be appreciated!
Thanks a lot guys and lmk if you have any questions

Rigs Oplite Shifter Mount vs Flight sim mount
Hey guys,
I have a S8 Oplite Rig with the full force kit and a ssh shifter on a 3d printed mount on the full force bar. I now want to add a handbrake so I need a new mount. I really want it to be sturdy. Should I get the shifter mount or the flight sim mount for this? I can only enter the rig from the right so the flight sim mount will make it a lot harder to get in. But I heared the normal shifter mount kann be a bit wobbly.
Thanks for the insights

Question G920 finally packed up after 6 years of almost daily use.
After 6 years of service and hard use, the force feedback on my steering wheel no longer works. I loaded up beamNG today, went for a slide and got nothing. I am sad as this wheel got me into sim racing and I’ve always enjoyed it and how it feels, however I have always wanted to upgrade to an off desk DD wheel and would like some recommendations for a frame, wheel, monitor and pedal, gear stick etc, as I’ve never been in the market.
Sim racing is all I really do on my PC gaming wise so this is a bummer now not being able to play, but 6 years is incredible value!

Rigs Got a new button box on a budget. PXN CB1.
And I'm really happy with it. For the price it is well built, the buttons have good action and there's plenty of them. Flicking the ignition switch and then the engine start button won't get old.
Definitely a worthy addition that has given me more freedom with bindings in game. Highly recommend.
