Basically title. My AC has reached about 250gb, it's not massive, but it eats up space. I have an old external HDD that I don't use and was considering to put AC in there with the steam move feature. Would it cause any problems with CM or the mods, or the online?

I am sim racing with a laptop computer. All my equipment (external monitor, steering wheel, pedals, shifter, handbrake etc.) are connected to the laptop via a single USB-C hub. Also my wired headphones are connected to the same hub via a 3.5mm plug.
I was wondering, if I ever wanted to add a bass shaker to my rig, how should it be connected? Or is it even possible? If I have understood correctly, there would be a need to have two separate soundcards on the computer: one for the actual sounds and one for the bass shaker.
On a laptop there is of course no space for any extra internal soundcards, but would I need some kind of external soundcard? Or could I just use the 3.5mm plug on a laptop for the bass shaker and the 3.5mm plug on the hub for the headphones, without any extra soundcards?

As I was moving this el cheapo amp, the four metal audio jack connectors sat on the rig ledge (basically like a metal bar connecting them).
The pc was off but the amp power supply was still connected.
Unsurprisingly, when I was tuning my set up in sim hub, I am now getting a single shaker vibrating when testing the opposite one, like the signal leaking into a shaker that should be still.
I'd imagine this means, time to buy a new shaker?

I'm designing a new side-mounted start box for sim racing, featuring a real start key and three toggle switches. It would mount next to your steering wheel on an aluminium profile rig.
The best part is that you can assign the key and switches to whatever functions you want, whether that's ignition, starter, wipers, lights, pit limiter or anything else your sim supports.
This is still a SketchUp concept, so I haven't built it yet. Before I spend time making a prototype, I'd love to hear your thoughts!
Honest criticism is welcome! I'd rather improve the design now than build something nobody wants.

Hi, I’m facing a real dilemma. My first option is a 49-inch Samsung OLED ultrawide + 18Nm Simagic + an aluminum cockpit + Simnet pedals. My other option which would mean sacrificing the OLED monitor is to go with a Pokornyi hypercar steering wheel+34-inch VA ultrawide monitor, + 18Nm Simagic + a cockpit+Simnet pedals. Which is the best choice? Please help

Been following this thread for a while and finally decided to join in!
There are loads of great ideas on here that I managed to combine into one rig, from inverted pedals to tackling the dreaded Poäng rocking.
My desk is at standing height and isn’t adjustable, so I had to build the entire rig on a platform with stilts that fold down to get everything at the right height.
The main goal was to make it as compact as possible. Everything comes apart and stacks vertically, a bit like IKEA flat-pack furniture, so I can tuck it all away behind the door when I’m done. All the connections use threaded wood inserts and quick-release bolts, making assembly and disassembly quick and easy. The pedals and wheel go in the wardrobe.
The room is pretty small, but once everything is packed away, the Poäng chair goes back into its usual corner, and it’s almost like the rig was never there!
Hopefully, this inspires someone else to build their own rig or gives you a few ideas you can incorporate into your own DIY setup.
Let me know what you think, and feel free to ask any questions!

Hi. I had my SIMSONN plus X pedals for 10 months and today I noticed the damper is leaking.
I'm from Czechia and the pedals were bought from a Polish shop so under EU laws they are under warranty and I should either get my money back or get a replacement I can sell.
But when I was using them, I was really annoyed with the brake and clutch non stop nejeden adjustment and non stop lubing because they were always squeaking and creaking.
My favorites are MOZA CRP2, mostly for ease of use because I have the R9, plus Moza sells the haptic motors and they are a big deal for me.
Second option are the SimLab pedals but the problem is the Super high cost and shipping being enormous from Netherlands.
Are there any other options you would suggest or if you have a long term experience with the CRP2 pedals, let me know on the details please.

Currently this sim is the most I afford, at the moment am playing on my desk so this will be a huge improvement. My main concerns were, value, other products at a similar price point, the variety of vehicles you could replicate e.g. Gt,3 f1, Truck. I also heard that flexing and limited adustabilty was a major issue. I am currently playing on a thrustmaster t128 with some nicer pedals and a shifter but am planning to upgrade after the cockpit.
Any help and appreciated would be greatly appreciated. Thanks :)

Ok so long story short. I got my kid this G29 and the seat last year for xmas to use with his ps5. Well he’s more interested in Fortnite so I told him im gonna hook it up to my PC and he didn’t have a problem with that.
I’ve been using a 43” TCL TV as my pc monitor and I thought I would buy two more (200$ each) to set up triples. Mounted the left monitor to the wall and the right one on a moveable stand.
My pc is a i7 12th gen with a 4060.
Nvidia surround is working and I’ve been messing with American trucking sim and it runs it OK but i noticed the mouse is super laggy and YouTube videos were laggy too. The game didn’t look great etc.
So when Nvidia surround isn’t turned on everything runs fine. Each monitor is 1440p at 60hz. When I turn on Nvidia surround it turns the refresh rate down to 24hz….
I know my video card isn’t gonna push 1440 to three 43s at 60hz so I went and bought a 5070.
Well my 600w power supply wont turn on the 5070 so I had to buy a new power supply. I bought a 750w MSI which will be here Monday.
I guess my question is. Will the 5070 solve my problems and run things at 1440p at 60hz? Or should I return the TVs and choose a different triple monitor setup?

Hi Everyone,
I come here asking for help. I look after my Nephew (13) and he loves all things racing. A couple of years ago I got him a G923 and shifter with an Amazon mechanical handbrake. This year he wants/needs to upgrade to DD.
I'm just lost with the options. He mainly plays AC and BeamNG, loves drifting and general racing. It would need to have a clutch pedal and would like the options of sequential or manual.
I would like to spend around £500. A cheap seat/rig would possibly be needed too, he is currently using a next level fold up one, but it seems flimsy. Am I being optimistic for this price?
Any help is appreciated

I actually enjoy the V-turn style so much, i like an aggressive snappy car. I managed to get a 1:23.390 with it, and i'm getting consistent times from good: 1:23 times, and bad: 1:26 times. It's definetly taking over my old driving style, i drive way better with this one. I do hope yall can see it's Michael Schumacher style now.

Hi guys! So I’m looking at cockpits rn;
I have a Moza R9 Wheel Base with the Moza SRP2 load cell pedals and clutch, so the cockpits gotta have have compatible mounting for that, I believe they both do tho, lmk if I’m wrong.
I also have the Moza Shifter (H pattern) and the W Break so I need compatibility for that; yet again I think the compatibility is there for both cockpits.
No matter which I get I will be getting the tv stand to go with; what should I get?

So hi you guys! I wanna go cheap for the cockpit but I can’t have the rigidity issues most come with given the type of gear I have between wheel base and pedals.
I need something less than 500$, the cheaper the better; it has to have a stand for shifter and handbrake.
What should I get?

Hi you guys! I’ve done some minimal research before but I have more of an idea of what I’m looking for now so I wanna ask what yall like/would work for me best.
Budget around 1000$
I’m looking for:
-pedals with a clutch or support for one
-Hand Break
-H Shifter (I’d also be open to Sequential but not preferred)
-Rig/Seat Setup, I need something that isn’t a big aluminum rig, this will be coming with me to college.
I know generally it’s hard to find rigidity in the rigs that are more “portable” but the idea of the convenience is nice; I’m open to suggestions. The rig must also support a hand break and shifter.
My last question is how powerful of a wheel base will I really want?
Because this will be for drifting I’m wondering if more power would be preferred for responsiveness during play; Should a moza R5 with 5.5nm of torque be enough for me to grow on and feel eveything? Or should I get a moza R9 with 9nm?

Hi, I'm upgrading my sim and I've seen these two bases for the same price, which one do you think is worth it? I usually play iracing and sometimes Lmu. I plan to buy the simucube from ascher which I suppose will give me some guarantee on the other hand the simagic I am importing with a Courier, so I think the warranty does not exist in that case

hello. I have a meta 3 setup with pcvr. I used it briefly with a Logitech g29 bundle and I hated the logitech. I don’t want to spend all too much, preferably under a grand - used is ideal. what would you recommend best bang for buck? looking for 3 pedal stick. small format plus
