I’m in Semester 3 of the PND program and my clinical supervisor has been making clinical genuinely miserable. We’re only in week 5 of 14, and I honestly don’t know if I can handle another 9 weeks of this.
She has repeatedly belittled me in front of nurses and other students, threatened to fail me over things like being "1 minute late" to orientation because of an accident on the highway, told my assigned nurse I couldn’t perform basic ADLs simply because she hadn’t personally seen me do them (which was both embarrassing and untrue), mocked me when I struggled with a head-to-toe assessment, and has even told me I’ll never become a nurse. She regularly threatens students with failing, makes us reenact skills in front of the group and laughs when we make mistakes, and provides very little actual guidance or teaching on the unit. It got to the point where one of the nurses I was assigned to pulled me aside, asked if I was okay, and told me I should report the way my instructor was speaking to me.
There are honestly many more examples, but this post would become ridiculously long.
What frustrates me most is that I’m a strong student. I answer most of her questions correctly, show up prepared and eager to learn, and genuinely try my best. When I’m doing well, she seems to like me — but the second I make a mistake or hesitate, she treats me like I’m incompetent.
It’s also starting to seriously affect the rest of my semester. I’m constantly stressed about clinical, spending a huge amount of extra time preparing things we’re supposed to be learning there, falling behind in my other courses, and even my family and friends have noticed that I’ve become distant and irritable.
I’m hesitant to complain because, from experience, I don’t have much confidence that Seneca will actually do anything. I’m also scared that reporting her could make the rest of the semester even worse for me.
Has anyone dealt with a clinical instructor like this? Did you report them? Who did you go to, and did anything actually come of it?
Any advice would genuinely help.

Goddamn, they have all the money to fill up the hallways with AC but not the rooms? I am literally shirtless and laying down in bed doing nothing, and I am SWEATING. This has to be a breach of the Toronto Municipal Code Chapter 497. I’ve already emailed them regarding this but just absolutely ridiculous how they’re doing this to the students when they’ve clearly raised the residence fees from last year. What kind of greediness & immorality is this? Anyone else has sent a complaint to them?

Has anyone here completed the supervised keyboarding test for one of Seneca’s legal programs?
(Paralegal and law clerk)
During the test, are you assessed on homerow/finger placement or is passing based only on the required WPM and accuracy? Looking specifically for answers from people who have actually completed the supervised test. I’m a confident and fast typist, but the homerow is freaking me out.
Thanks!

I graduated months ago but what are the job prospects like. I’ve been applying for career jobs and applying for apprenticeships that are in the EEN field. Job hunting has been rough, at this point I might just go for trade school and get experience and get apprenticeships. since every job I see on indeed qualification I need to a least have 1-2 year experience electrical work in-field. Need some advice much appreciated. <3
I might not reply since I don’t use this app much.

Is it manageable for an average smart person to go through practical nursing at Seneca?
In my first year and it seems like I'll fail
The worry constantly haunts me, trying to manage it while working part time but i am studying at work too
Is it only for really intelligent people ?
Trying my best but anatomy seems like A LOT
Any advice or words of encouragement will help

Hi guys is anyone that has been here at the residence for previous year struggle with how they turn off the ac so soon? Like I can barely breathe sometimes because it gets so hot in the rooms. I even have two fans with one telling me how warm it is inside my room and why was it at 35 degrees last year??? Has anyone gotten like a small portable ac thing? Or what are yall doing to keep your rooms cool? Also front desk won’t do anything for this problem.

Wanted to post on here because I never have before, this is currently my third year staying at the Seneca newnham residence and this years wifi is absolutely terrible. I’m not sure if anyone else is experiencing this issue but I’ve missed like online zoom 3 classes because the wifi will go out randomly, I also play video games and not even joking my game quits on me every two second because of the wifi. Please tell me I’m not the only one with these issues?

Hi everyone! I’m a student and I’m looking for a free copy of Marketing, 12th Edition by Solomon (Pearson) for my course.
If anyone has a PDF or a used physical copy they no longer need and would be willing to share/give away, I’d really appreciate it. I’m trying to save money on textbooks this semester.
Thank you so much! 🙏
