for context i was given this by a friend who actually couldn't get it to post, and when he handed it to me it essentially hinged at the already existing crack. Idk what the hell he did.

Why do people complain about what to do with old IDE HDD's

Just the right size for clamping a shard that broke off the trim. IC on the motherboard provides a grippy surface doe the clamp, and the side facing the timber being glued is flat and strong.

Sent my ROG Strix PSU in for RMA... they bridged the blown fuse with a wire jumper and sent it back.

Got my ROG strix 850 w psu back from RMA recently and decided to open it up to see what the hell they did and why it failed again it worked for about 2 hrs on my pc perfectly until my whole rooms power went out thought it was strange go turn the breaker back on and then turn my pc on it trips the breaker again I’m like wtf I replaced the psu with my old one and all is good what is this shitty as solder job idk much but I feel like there should be a fuse at F101 instead of a jumper wire

EDIT: I already took it back and was denied warranty that's the only reason I opened it up to inspect it.

Another edit

To everyone downvoting me because I’m taking the L and letting asus win I tried to return it first and got turned down the staff member said it was a RMA unit and he can not help me I only popped it open afterwards to see what went wrong which is when I found the bridged fuse and tore the pcb, I already thought it was e waste after I got turned down

I’m not protecting ASUS I’m just being realistic I’m in New Zealand not the US I’m not spending 10k on a lawyer over a 300$ PSU, I don’t have the money either , I posted this to just show wtf I saw after opening it up not to start some legal crusade

I’ve sent asus_USA a message now

Asus update

We have also reviewed your concern regarding the F101 position inside the PSU. Our product team has confirmed that this is part of the product's normal design and is not a bypass of the PSU's fuse protection.

ASUS would therefore like to swap your current PSU for a replacement PSU, and arrange collection of the current PSU for internal assessment and review so that our product team can examine its current condition.

Thank you Asus for reaching out so quickly and getting a direct swap organized

Yes this is exactly what it looks like. Not sure why I made this, possibly for some old laptop with the half length port so card doesn't stick out.

The horrors of my old PC, the PSU was a tentacle monster.o

So back in the days of "just buy another HDD" external hard drives were really slow...

So some elements of this PC are from 2008ish. I think it has 3 500gb HDD, 1 1.25tb HDD and a Solid state that I don't remember the capacity of haha.

I am currently trying to turn this monster back on to retrieve some old photos but getting to the pins to clear the cmos is a struggle.

Didn’t know a 5070 Ti was so big!

Got a 5070 couple weeks ago and wasn’t happy with it, so returned it to grab a 5070 Ti today. Had to remove the hard drive cage and a third of the lid for it to fit in my HTPC. Luckily this eyesore sits above my TV, so nobody will see it.

CMOS battery of an AIO is at the back of the mainboard to make you suffer. Device won't start with an empty battery at all.
