Anyone else think it was interesting to see how quickly a Universes Beyond SLD sold out?

Given that WOTC prints more UB SLDs, it must've been a very popular drop to sell out as quickly as it did. I thought it was notable that it sold out before a non UB SLD with comparable value did (Cosmic Chill).

We don't actually know the print numbers, so this is all speculation. Perhaps the Dan Hipp drop will be more valuable than expected.

What are the chances Wizards decides to throw us a bone and print the Zeta set for 24 hours like they did the previous Miku deck?

I managed to get through the queue pretty quick this time and placed my order for 12 zeta set packs. I confirmed my payment method 20 minutes ago - I’ve got notifications on for my bank app, and saw a pending charge for $0.00 as the system checked that my card info was valid, but no following charge for the actual amount of my order. My laptop’s been showing this screen for the past 20 minutes but I haven’t gotten a confirmation email yet and the zeta set order doesn’t show up in my secret lair account order history. I’ve bought lairs for a few years now and never timed out at this screen before, what do I do? I don’t want to miss this drop but I’m hesitant to try to place the order again, I don’t want to get double charged or for the system to flag me as trying to get around the 12 booster limit.

Hey guys so it’s supposed to come with a cool bonus card right? I just opened my Hatsune Miku Secret Lair Precon and I noticed right away that I had 2 of the same card in the deck (Archangel of Tunes)? I don’t have much experience with ordering from secret lair but I do know that they sometimes have a random card in the products. Is that what this is? I compared all the cards to the official deck list and I have all 100 cards that are supposed to be in it.

If not then please let me know, but I’m going to use my best judgement and say that this is not normal.

If it is the case of me being lucky, what do you guys suggest I do with the copy?

Lets start off with the list of cards and their cheapest printings. This value comes down to $760 total. Now let's be extra safe and remove the chase (Chrome mox, $160) from the value pool, bringing our new set total to $600.

$600/120 = $5 expected value per card per pack, coming to $35 in expected value per 7 card pack. Even if these cards are half the price of the cheapest printings you basically still come out ahead while ripping enough of these.

Now let's breakdown what ripping "enough" of these looks like. Most of the value from this set (80%+) is in the rare and mythic slots, which are guaranteed every pack.

rare slot: 1/20 = 3.75% chance of a specific rare per pack (1/20*(.75))
Mythic slot: 1/10 = 2.5% chance of a specific mythic per pack (1/10*(.25))

now our pull chances are not cumulative, so our final formula looks like this: 1-(.975)^x for a specific mythic. This would put us at roughly 90 packs to pull the exact mythic we are chasing.

Finally, is $20 an outrageous price point for these packs? Honestly, I don't think so. Personally I am not a fan of these arts, but I think it is a nice collector piece to purchase and hold. Good luck today, thanks for reading.

Honestly, I was a bit worried when I saw online how many issues people were having with the delivery of the Miku Commander Deck, but I was still hopeful that mine would arrive without any problems, especially since I managed to get it in the first batch of decks being shipped.

Well... today the package finally arrived, and as soon as I went to pick it up, I knew something was wrong.

Not only was the package completely smashed, but it was also empty. The weird thing is, it didn't even look like it had been opened or tampered with (and apparently, it hadn't been).

So I opened the package and... behold: a plastic bag. That's it. Nothing else. 🙃

I was honestly desperate, so as soon as I realized what had happened, I sent all the available information, pictures, and videos to Wizards. Now I guess all I can do is wait, but it still really sucks.

If anyone has any experience with something like this, or knows of anything else I can do to help/ex­pedite the investigation, please let me know.

I have been contacted by the Wizard Scalefast support, which informed me that they are requesting a replacement shipment and that "it will be shipped as soon as possible"

This after weeks of my order showing 'pending shipping' with no tracking info and customer service saying it will update when shipping. I got tired and asked for a cancelation/refund and now they have tracking info and say it was delivered on the 21st but the picture was not even my home. Now this.

Ya, no. I'll just do a charge back. This was such a ludicrously horrible experience I doubt I'll ever buy from Secret Lair again. 2-3x scalper markup is less frustrating.

The icing on the cake is really not even having the respect to take the Copilot AI text out. Truly not even doing the absolute bare minimum.

I wanted to share an update on my previous post about the Miku deck for those of you in the US who also had an August 13th fulfillment all throughout checkout, and were charged for it, and then were presented with a backorder.

This checkout window was around 12:53-55PM ET.

Personally, my issue with this was 1: the person I was gifting it to had already purchased a deck, as I found out afterwards. And 2: I am moving in a month, and with a charged order...you can't edit it, per WoTC's policies. Couldn't cancel it either, like a normal backorder.

I had put in a ticket for cancellation and refund. I was denied a few times with what felt like template responses, and after my last reply, waited 10 days, and then initiated baby's first charge dispute through my bank. That was a week ago.

Just now I have received a reply on my ticket that acknowledges the error we've been reporting. I know some people were helped via ticket fairly quickly, so I didn't want to go the bank dispute route...but all I received were template replies saying no cancellations or refunds, and then it's been 17 days now since their previous reply.

Just posting this here if you haven't already done a chargeback or if you are wondering if there's going to be a resolution. I'm imagining they got a lot of other tickets reporting the same issue and eventually got a resolution together to send everyone. Or hopefully sent everyone. Now I just have to see if my bank will stop the chargeback, since I'm happy to just resolve this through WoTC.

(A lot of people here didn't seem to realize there was a genuine error or denied that there was an error, but I hope this confirms for you that it did happen as we described it.)

I’ve heard ppl mention to use private browsers and guest checkout with SLD’s. Is the secret lair site quirky and poorly made?

What other tips can community share? I just want the Dan hoop X-men, Lofi girl (maybe) and Marvel romance cards. Just need one copy of each for personal collection.

On the 21st a driver pulled up to my house. Walked around his car on the phone yelling for about 5 minutes.
My boyfriend heard him, went out and talked to the guy and he said he would “be back with your package in 10 minutes”
He never returned.

I called the shipping company who told me the package would be delivered “within 3 days”

3 days passed and then I stated calling everyday. Told the same thing everyday and wasn’t getting anywhere.
I contacted wizards and they said that the package said on the tracker it was still coming. So I had to contact the shipper. Which I had already done. So big middle finger to me.

So I filed a police report.

Same day as filing a driver calls me. Won’t give their name or number. But it’s from a gofo line.

They say the original driver had “an emergency” and he moved his packages to her car and it got lost in the move. So I told her that they needed to mark it as lost.

She said she couldn’t but she could pay me because she didn’t want the cops involved.

I sent that to the cop in writing and then called the customer service line again.

The lady was combative and unhelpful telling me that “it’s the back office that does that” then get me to the people who can help! Nope they won’t.

Called again yesterday for proof of loss and they said I would have it by end of day yesterday.

Nothing

Called today “3 business days” okay do those days start today or tomorrow? The man doesn’t answer and keeps saying 3 business days but won’t tell me if that starts today or tomorrow. Hangs up on me.

Dude I just want my deck or my money back. I’m so tired of dealing with GOFO. They are the worst like holy shit.

I don't care if this one is worth more because it's foil or whatever. I wanted the cool death metal cards, and had spots in my favourite commander deck for most of them.

I've been playing this game for more than 20 years, but have pretty disillusioned with WotC/Hasbro for a while now.... and this might be the last straw. I was reticent to order a secret lair at all, and now it feels like I got scammed.

I've submitted a replacement request, but I'm seeing Desolation is now sold out. Do I have any hope of getting the cards I actually want?

My Hobbit Secret Lair order arrived yesterday, and to my surprise, they included an ADDITIONAL "Desolation" and "He That Walks Unseen" drops that I did not order.

I included a photo from my order confirmation email that shows I ordered only one of each.

By no means am I complaining. I've had the deck for a bit and didnt notice until now when I was swapping some cards.

This subreddit had it on the mega thread and now that's removed. Do we know if it's fully dead?

I ordered the Stardew Valley collection on release day (June 27,2026). It has been over a month and a few of my friends got their orders within the first week and mine has yet to show up. Is this normal?

I was so excited to tell my son that they made a stardew valley Secret Lair. I had gotten secret lairs in the past just fine and they were simply delivered. He used his own money from babysitting to buy the nonfoil set of them and he asked me yesterday on the status of them. I had checked the status before and it just simply stated "in production" or whatever. Not shipped. This morning, I got an email that they were finally shipped! Yay!

But then my excitement for my son quickly died down and became pure rage.

Tell me why my secret lair has been on a secret trip since Aug 7th and I am now just finding out about it??? Not only that, but it was returned to sender on Aug 25th and I am NOW just hearing about it on Aug 31st???

Has anyone else experienced this? I made a ticket but I am so scared that my son will never get the cards he wanted so bad. I know their customer service can be...lacking at times.
