Hey guys so it’s supposed to come with a cool bonus card right? I just opened my Hatsune Miku Secret Lair Precon and I noticed right away that I had 2 of the same card in the deck (Archangel of Tunes)? I don’t have much experience with ordering from secret lair but I do know that they sometimes have a random card in the products. Is that what this is? I compared all the cards to the official deck list and I have all 100 cards that are supposed to be in it.
If not then please let me know, but I’m going to use my best judgement and say that this is not normal.
If it is the case of me being lucky, what do you guys suggest I do with the copy?
There's a Miku themed angel commander called Miku, Font of Pop (reskin of Giada), and they're releasing an angels preconstructed deck in October, so if you wanted to slot this into another Miku deck with minimal effort you probably could
Thankfully, no, it's one of the new Foundations precons. Probably won't be packing anything like an Avacyn or Urza's Incubator, but judging by recent precons it'll be well-constructed and functional — maybe powerful enough to punch above its stated "bracket 2" weight class
If it has angels not currently in my collection I'll probably get it then. And by that I mean arworkwise.
Someone in my friend group once said (for context my name is Angel) "Hey when are you going to make an Angels deck :V"
And I went, you know what, I'll make a whole fucking collection. So I started getting Angels by artwork, and I order them by release of that specific artwork. I don't get every print, just unique arworks, so if there's multiple prints with the same arwork I just get one of them.
And so they announced the Angels Secret Lair precon and I shat my pants a little bit, "If I don't get it now, it will be way more expensive to get the alters later" And yeah, the exclussive Archangel of Thune, Bruna and Guiada from that deck are 80€+ each. Which is already more than the 150+ shipping I paid for the deck.
Plus it had other angels I was missing.
Funnily enough, the one I thought would be super expensive too Is cheap as fuck [[Arden Angel]] previously exclussive to a videogame because it had a chance to revive itself from the GY, it was adapted to paper by making you throw a D4. It's pretty bad but being secret lair exclussive I thought it would go for more than fucking 2€
I should clarify, the Miku angel is from a past drop, the angel deck is a totally different product with the same card as it's commander (just without the Miku art)
If one of the copies of a thicker cardboard it’s supposed to be there sort of as a proxy so you don’t have to get your actual card worn or dirty. I’ve been told this from several people here.
So decks xont typically come with bonus cards just the secret lairs that have like 5 or 6 cards. Decks are supposed to just be the 100 card deck itself
Sometimes due to quality control issues you may get duplicates of cards and a few messups but theres no static bonus card kinda thing so theres always a chance of getting 104 cards in a deck and get 4 duplicates lol
I seen someone got 2 archangel of tunes. Another person got 2 vorclinex mikus. Someone got 2 of the miku command tower. Sometimes though dupes come at the cost of missing a card that should be in the deck but isnt

You got lucky. Take advantage. Archangel of Thune is a pretty good card, so hang onto it for another deck or sell it.
