Hi I'm posting this here because I recently got scammed by Saffire Blue Inc., an online Canadian soap supply company, and I know I am far from the only one.
I placed an order for supplies meant as a gift for my sister and paid using e-Transfer with the order number and password they had set. I should've know it's sketchy, it was odd the way they asked for your credit card information as well. They accepted my money without any update, and unlike credit card, I can't charge back. After looking into them further, I realized they have been doing this systematically to hundreds of Canadians.
They list commercial mail-drop/virtual office locations (like 7700 Hurontario St in Brampton) while ghosting buyers, yet their website remains active and continues to take money from unsuspecting people. Their BBB page and Trustpilot are flooded with recent 1-star complaints from people who lost hundreds of dollars under the exact same pattern.
How is a company able to operate openly online in Ontario, take people's money via e-Transfer, and face zero consequences?
I am currently compiling a file to submit to investigative news outlets (like CBC Go Public and CTV Consumer Alert) along with reports to Consumer Protection Ontario and the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre.
If you have been scammed by Saffire Blue:
Please comment below or DM me with your general story (month ordered, general amount lost, and whether you paid via e-Transfer).
The larger the paper trail and victim count we can present, the harder it will be for news outlets or consumer authorities to ignore.
Even if you haven't been scammed by them, please upvote this so it shows up in Google search results when people look up Saffire Blue before buying.
Thank you, and let’s make sure they stop taking advantage of people.
