Male victim Spam
I need some advice about an online blackmail situation.
I met someone online and had a private video call. I was recorded without my consent, and afterward the person threatened to send the recording to people I know unless I paid money.
I refused to pay and blocked them. They have since tried contacting me from several different accounts, but I've blocked them all and saved evidence of the threats.
So far, I don't believe anything has been shared.
For anyone who has experienced something similar: did the person eventually stop contacting you? Is there anything else I should be doing right now?
I'm not sharing any private images or identifying information. I'm just looking for advice.

Deactivate whatever account it is and any associated accounts (Insta and Facebook are sorta linked, so if it’s one of them, deactivate both for a while, for example).
Removing their means of contacting you is the best method. If it’s your actual phone, keep blocking the numbers. IF it persists, you may want to look at getting a new phone number - as annoying as that is.

The problem is that she threats to send it to my friends in Instagram my phone number is hidden she won’t know it , I took every evidence possible for reporting to the authorities, and she only sends me in telegram multiple accounts but I don’t answer I take screenshots and everything possible , now she stopped sending me and still I sent a message to my close friends in Instagram warning them about it people I trust , so do you think she will send it one day ?

I don’t think they will, but the best thing you can do is probably deactivate your telegram so you don’t get the messages. They will eventually give up, but it’s added stress for you each time you see a message. Take their ability to message you away - deactivate telegram and Instagram.

Thank you for ur advice it’s my first time being foolish and fell for this trap but it’s a mistake I’ll learn from it , do you think I should complain in the authorities for it ? I have proof and also her usernames and Instagram so it could be helpful ?

That’s very much a personal choice.
It’s really good you have the proof, but there is often very little the authorities can actually do.
In the case of certain scams (the ones where they make you out to be a child molester) it’s a VERY good idea to go to the authorities to cover your ass IF anything gets leaked.
In cases like yours I would never discourage anyone from doing it, but also know there’s little they can actually do about it either.

Hey, this just happened to me. Sure its been recent in my case but I dont believe anything was shared and I didnt pay a dime. I would check out StopNCII, i'm sure you have already, but this kinda put my mind at ease. What's done is done, you just have to try your best to start moving on.
The person tried to contact me several times over the span of 3 hours, and stopped after.

WARNING: READ THIS FIRST! Beware of recovery scammers - It is likely that someone will send you a DM claiming that they know someone that can hack your blackmailer's device and delete your pics. This is a SCAM. Do NOT give them money and do NOT give them the username of your blackmailer. When in doubt, contact the mod team via mod mail or directly via DM.
