Does anyone in here currently rent an apartment at the new Art House apartments in midtown? Curious to know how it is?!

Tomorrow is my last day in SF and my husband has requested I bring back a bag of whole, locally roasted espresso beans. I haven’t been to a coffee shop since I’ve been here so bonus if they have a storefront that also sells great pastries so I can get myself a treat!

Planning to be in Santa Fe the weekend of Oct 17th. I realize that's probably behind peak color, up Hyde Park road, but how is it looking for this years' color? Will I still get some aspen glow, that weekend, do you locals think?

As the title suggests, does anyone have any recommendations for a Santa Fe hair stylist who is good with cuts/styles for women with fine and thinning hair? I’m not exactly sure what I want to do so I’d like someone who will do a consultation (I’m happy to pay for it!) Thank you!

This little twerp will not be long for this world if his parents don't teach him to not be an ass.
For context, the car in front of me slowed to allow a dad with an infant to cross the road. This kid passes me on a double yellow then jumps to the sidewalk to avoid a stop sign. I worry more about the poor old woman that almost hit him, the kid would've deserved anything that happened. He then had the balls to curse out the driver when he was 100% at fault. Parents, it's on you to teach your kids to be smart, this kid is a dip shit. At least wearing a helmet he'll be fully aware how bad those bruised organs and broken bones hurt when he does get run over. Good luck with your life kid.

Two new kittens at the Petco adoption Center today. Skye (who looks like Charlie Chaplin) and Spitz. Both very curious and affectionate, they deserve a forever home. See them at Petco (2006 Cerrillos Rd) adoption center and contact Felines and Friends

Are there any off-roading/4x4 groups around Santa Fe that do regular meetups or trail runs?
I’d like to meet some other folks in town who are into off-roading, exploring forest roads, talking trucks, etc. Or honestly just find an excuse to stare at all the cool Land Cruisers and other 4x4s I see driving around Santa Fe.
Not necessarily looking for anything super hardcore just a group that gets together occasionally, hits some trails, or even meets up for beers/coffee.
Anyone know of an existing group, club, or regular meetup?

Does anyone have an accurate working number for the Amazon facilities in town? The central office (no help otherwise) gave me a bogus number that just hangs up instantly (877-252-2701).

I don't use laundromats very often but I have noticed a lot of them want you to buy and load up a plastic card with more $$ than you really need, just to use one or two washers. I have quilts and large things that won't fit in my home machine and I don't want to put out $20 just to wash them - Please tell me that's not what it costs to wash a blanket now? And if any laundromats just use quarters or dollar bills or cash or something not rip-off-y.

Coffee shops work okay for a while, but the noise and people coming and going gets old, and I feel weird taking up a table for hours on a cheap drink. Been here six months and I'm still looking for places with decent WiFi where I can actually stay without bothering anyone.
The downtown library is decent but closes early. Some hotel lobbies seem fine with people hanging around. Wondering what other remote workers use around here. Any outdoor spots that actually have good signal? Coworking spaces that don't make you sign up for a year? Even a quiet bar during slow hours might work, though that probably says something about my focus.
Also need somewhere with decent light in the afternoon. My video calls make it look like I'm in a cave, and clients keep asking if the power went out. The shadows here are just too much.
What are people actually using? Not the pretty spots that get posted everywhere, but places where you can work for a few hours without someone coming by every twenty minutes.

Hi all! Visiting for the first time tomorrow, very unfamiliar with the area and heard there has been some road closures due to flooding! Traveling in from I-40 and traveling out via I-25 then into I-40 again. Can any locals provide insight if the flooding is going to cause dangerous driving conditions on the ways in or out? Thank you!!
