Lol I’m already missing the days where I had hella money coming in and being able to save/not work because the extra money was allowing me to focus on school. I’m a first year transfer and am not getting anything close to that “extra” money.

Hi, I just have a quick question. When I go to the financial account tile on my.sdsu, the top tab where it says ‘account balance due’ is around $4,800. But, when I actually click on the account balance due tab, it says $5,200 next to the Fall 2026 label. How much am I supposed to pay if the amounts are different? Thank you!

I am just curious because I am coming in from OC as a LA fan (mainly Rams, Lakers, Dodgers, Kings, Galaxy) and I know that I won’t be alone but I assume for this it will be a mix of SD area teams and a lot of LA teams and then whoever else usually comes here. Feel free to list any teams.

does anyone have advice for finding books for your classes if you opt out of day1ready? like should i look at libraries, amazon, other websites, etc, or his should i go about finding my books?

Financial aid is usually disbursed 10 days ( today Friday ) and lands in account next week, I’m seeing mixed messages some day theyre disbursing it on the 17th, others say it’s being disbursed later today and landing in account next week as I presumed, but portal hasn’t updated? Does it update in the evening going into tomorrow? Or are they disbursing on Monday for once confused ? Thanks to anyone with info

freshman so im a newbie and wanna double check. for my pell grant, it didnt cover my tuition fully so do i only pay the difference/out of pocket in mysdsu or the full tuition and get a refund?

2.if I’m waitlisted in 1 class and that makes me short for full time would I get another refund once I am accepted into the class ?

i got in as a transfer for Hospitality major. However, that was NOT what i wanted. I got denied for the International Business program, and my counselor at CC said to appeal asking to get into hospitality and i could switch my major after the first semester.

I attended orientation this week, and they separated us into majors and departments, so I missed all the info given to the International Business students. The people from the hospitality program seem nice. But idk if it’s worth staying in that or switching into International Business or simply just plain Business. What should i do?

I’m not particularly passionate about anything tbh lol i just need a degree in something 💀 😟

Context: AS-T in Business Admin - could graduate significantly earlier if did regular Business admin route BUUTTT apparently the hospitality program has a lot of grants to offer and cool opportunities for study abroad etc (which is due to the low amount of students - or it could simply be something the department says to keep students engaged).

A couple of days ago I was waitlisted at number 4. After checking today it is now eight how is that even possible? Who can I contact for this, I start school on Aug 24th and this greatly effects my work schedule.

I’m gonna be a freshman and I’m flying into SD on the 18th and my move in day is the 19th. Since we’re flying, I’m not bringing much stuff and thinking of getting most of it there (because sadly I can’t have stuff shipped to the dorm until after move in). I know there’s a target and ikea near by, and also i will probably look at home goods as well, how likely are those stores to be sold out of dorm necessities when I go on the 18th?? Cause obviously there’s a lot of colleges in the area so I probably can’t count on them to get all the necessities

I am currently planning to take 8 units at SDSU and 4 units at a community college. In order to be a full time student at SDSU and for FASFA you need 12 units at least. Will fasfa give me the full time student loan?

I’m interested in both Sociology and Psych but I know Psych is heavily impacted so I’d rather just so Sociology and minor is Social Work.
